Soul-winning is the most important thing out of everything in discipleship. Practicing it will allow you to find out which areas you need to correct. You WILL mess up the first time, but don’t feel bad or embarrassed about it. This way you can really remember “Oh, this is where I messed up. I won’t forget where I messed up/slipped on.”

You can only get better at soul winning by doing it!

Special Note :

Note 1

1 Peter 5:5-6: “Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.”

Even if a pastor is Bible-believing, believes in dispensationalism, and KJV is perfect, learn that everyone is imperfect. It would help if you learned to ignore his defects and imperfections. Just sit down and listen so that you can benefit and grow.

If the pastor or church slips up, that’s on them, not on you. You didn’t have to sacrifice your maturity/spiritual growth trying to fix some pastor’s or church’s immaturity or lack of growth.

You want to be the most spiritual/mature/perfect person but don’t make the pastor or church go to your level. When you try to make all like you, you’re going to be different from them too. One will then tend to have a critical mindset and judgmental attitude rather than the love of Christ. You’re not going to grow if you keep critiquing someone who is trying to train you and grow you.

The ones that Bible believers point out flaws and errors are not with other Bible believers. It’s with the heretics, the ones who teach the wrong doctrine. The church is supposed to edify each other, love one another.

Note 2

Romans 16:9: “For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil.”

The more one spends time on what is evil, the more he will not grow on good things. For example, if you dig deep and research things like Flat Earth, you will not spend time on more important topics such as soul winning or right doctrine.

Note 3

As a disciple, you need to learn to be humble and submit to the right leader. The right leader will be discussed in the next class.

It’s important to join the right church. A Bible believer cannot go solo. Otherwise, you cannot find out which is right from wrong, you won’t get along with anybody, and you can’t be a part of a movement that’s bringing forth fruits. God does not work with one person. He works with the church.
