Jeremiah 51:34 Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon hath devoured me, he hath crushed me, he hath made me an empty vessel, he hath swallowed me up like a dragon, he hath filled his belly with my delicates, he hath cast me out.

Nebuchadrezzar is a picture of the dragon, which is described both in mythology and the Bible as perhaps being the most dreadful creature. Satan is likened to the Dragon, he will do whatever he can to attack and ruin the church. We have to be aware of his plans and devices.

Be Wary of Devil’s Devices

A lot of people have been ignorant until Covid-19 hit us, and it reminded a lot of us that the adversary is really out and about to try to destroy us.

Hence, we are reminded once again to always stick to the Word of God, and do whatever we can to counter evil. One of the ways is to attend the Church and fellowship with our brethren and sisters.

A lot of people especially Christians tend to misperceive that the vaccine of Covid-19 is the mark of the beast, and his ultimate plan to destroy us. Nonetheless, it is just a stepping stone to his bigger evil plan, which is to set up a tyrannical system to prevent God’s children from worshiping him.

The devil will constantly try to interfere and destroy our faith in God, through trials and problems from many aspects of life, such as family, career, finances, and health, and his objective is to cause us to be inactive and stop serving our Heavenly Father.

2 Corinthians 2:11 says that we should not be ignorant towards Satan’s attack. We need to develop a healthy fear, to serve as a reminder for us to be cautious, sober and weary.

We should not be living in a relaxed world and state of mind anymore, because that is what the devil wants.

Revelation 12:9-10 And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Satan is trying to destroy us by accusing us before God day and night, he will find things in life that will give him the opportunity to turn us away from God. Yet, a lot of us are not aware of that and open up the doors for Satan to have such an opportunity. We need to strengthen our faith by building our armor and shield, so that when evil strikes we can use those walls to bounce it back.

God has to allow Devil’s plan to be Executed

Perhaps it is because we are getting closer to rapture, that is why God permits the Devil to disrupt our lives and create chaos in the world. Nonetheless, we are also given the free will to choose to stay in faith, not giving in, and learn to persevere through all the pain. Despite all that is happening, we can still testify the gospel and spread it to everyone around us, that is the kind of testimony that we should strive to have.

Complete Delight

Satan still will not be completely contented even when he annihilates us, as he wants to steal our blessings from us. To counter that, we need to not take our blessings for granted. God is capable of showing miracle after miracle, His spiritual blessings for us are not always about the physical properties and materials that are worldly.

Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Satan will attack us in certain areas and loopholes that we are more prone to being vulnerable. Satan is smart enough to constantly look for our tiny weak spot, and then slowly extend his attack and widen that area, just like a plague.

To counter that, we simply ask ourselves in our daily lives, during our interaction with others, or with the world, are we being used by Satan, and yield into his plan and sin against God. This awareness will help us not stray away from walking in the Spirit.

The Dragon will Attempt to Completely Cast us out from God’s Sight

What Satan wants to do, is to annihilate us, eat up all our blessings, and cast us out so that we cannot be restored and used or blessed by God again.

Deuteronomy 3:23-26 And I besought the Lord at that time, saying, O Lord God, thou hast begun to shew thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what God is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might? I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good land that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. But the Lord was wroth with me for your sakes, and would not hear me: and the Lord said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.

When Moses yielded to his sin and anger, it might seem that it was a really small issue, by hitting and rock and lashing his anger at the Israelites. Nonetheless, it dismissed him from being able to enter the promised land.

Similarly, we tend to perceive certain things as being minor and insignificant, but we need to realize that could be our last chance to do good for God, to serve Him, or to witness to people. We may not be able to reclaim that golden opportunity from God again.

We may have lost some of the battles, but let us remember that we Christians have already won the war! So bravely run the race for Christ Jesus until we see him again very soon.
