Before the work commences, they are reminded of the commandment as to the six days and the seventh, even in the making of the Tabernacle.
**children** = sons.
**the LORD** . Hebrew. *Jehovah* . App-4 .

**sabbath of rest** . Hebrew "sabbath of sabbatizing". See note on [Exodus 16:23](../../../kjv/exodus/16/23) .

**commanded** . See [Exodus 25:1](../../../kjv/exodus/25/1) , &c.

**an offering** . Note the Figure of speech *Polysyndeton* ( App-6 ), em phasising the 15 (3 x 5) articles in verses: [Exodus 35:5-9](../../../kjv/exodus/35/5-9) ( App-10 ). Hebrew = heave offering. **tabernacle** = tent. Hebrew. *'ohel.* App-40 .

**men.** Hebrew, plural of *'ish,* or *'enosh.* App-14 .

**man** = every one.
**offered an offering** . Figure of speech *Polyptoton* ( App-6 ). Hebrew. *tenuphah,* a wave offering. See note on [Exodus 29:27](../../../kjv/exodus/29/27) , and App-43 .
