**shine forth** = soar or shoot upward like the rays of the rising sun.

**dig** = look about, as in [Joshua 2:2](../../../kjv/joshua/2/2) . Compare Ch. [Job 39:29](../../../kjv/job/39/29) , i.e. before lying down ([Job 11:19](../../../kjv/job/11/19) ).

**make suit, &c.** Hebrew intreat thy face: i.e. seek thy favour.
