**Psalm.** Hebrew. *mizmor.* App-65 .
**of David.** [Psalms 10](../../../kjv/psalms/10) 8Â-110 relate to the true David, and His humiliation, deliverance, and triumph. The first of fifteen Davidic Psalms in this fifth book. This subject appears in each book as the root and source of all blessing. Instead of a new Psalm being written for this subject here, a composite Psalm is formed by a combination of parts of [Psalms 57:7-11](../../../kjv/psalms/57/7-11) and [Psalms 60:6-12](../../../kjv/psalms/60/6-12) . **God.** Hebrew. *Elohim.* App-4 .
**fixed** = steadfast.
**my glory.** Put by Figure of speech *Metonymy* (of Effect), App-6 , for the heart or tongue which gives the glory. Compare [Psalms 7:5](../../../kjv/psalms/7/5) ; [Psalms 16:9](../../../kjv/psalms/16/9) ; [Psalms 30:12](../../../kjv/psalms/30/12) ; [Psalms 57:8](../../../kjv/psalms/57/8) . Literally "Aye, fain would I glory", &c.

**awake early** = awake the dawn.

**LORD.** Hebrew. *Jehovah.* App-4 .
**people** = peoples.

**mercy** = lovingkindness, or grace.
**clouds** = skies.

**beloved** = beloved ones (plural)

**spoken in:** or sworn by.

**Manasseh.** Some codices, with one early printed edition, read "And Manasseh".

**Thou.** Some codices, with Septuagint, Syriac, and Vulgate, read "Thou" (emphatic) in the text.
