PSALM 100

. As closing this series (see on ), this Psalm is a general call on all the earth to render
exalted praise to God, the creator, preserver, and benefactor of men.

**1, 2.** With thankful praise,
unite service as the subjects of a king ([Psalms 2:11](../../../kjv/psalms/2/11);
[Psalms 2:12](../../../kjv/psalms/2/12)).

**3.** To the obligations of a
creature and subject is added that of a beneficiary ().

**4.** Join joyfully in His public
worship. The terms are, of course, figurative (compare [Psalms 84:2](../../../kjv/psalms/84/2);
[Psalms 92:13](../../../kjv/psalms/92/13); [Isaiah 66:23](../../../kjv/isaiah/66/23)).
**Enter**—or, "Come
with solemnity" ([Psalms 95:6](../../../kjv/psalms/95/6)).

**5.** The reason: God's eternal
mercy and truth ([Psalms 25:8](../../../kjv/psalms/25/8);
[Psalms 89:7](../../../kjv/psalms/89/7)).
