**CHAPTER 5**
The Song of the Vineyard and the Six Woes
1. *The song of the vineyard and Jehovah’s lament ([Isaiah 5:1-4](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/1-4)* *)* 2. *The judgment upon the vineyard ([Isaiah 5:5-7](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/5-7)* *)* 3. *The wild grapes ([Isaiah 5:8-23](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/8-23)* *)* 4. *First woe against covetousness ([Isaiah 5:8-10](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/8-10)* *)* 5. *Second woe against fleshly lusts ([Isaiah 5:11-17](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/11-17)* *)* 6. *Third woe against mockers ([Isaiah 5:18-19](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/18-19)* *)* 7. *Fourth woe against moral insensibility ([Isaiah 5:20](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/20)* *)* 8. *Fifth woe against conceit ([Isaiah 5:21](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/21)* *)* 9. *Sixth woe against lawlessness ([Isaiah 5:22-23](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/22-23)* *)* 10. *Jehovah’s anger and the invader announced ([Isaiah 5:24-30](../../../kjv/isaiah/5/24-30)* *)* Compare the song of the vineyard with [Matthew 21:33-44](../../../kjv/matthew/21/33-44) . The wild grapes of Israel fully correspond to the wild grapes of nominal Christendom. “If God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest He also spare not thee” [Romans 11:21](../../../kjv/romans/11/21) .
