[Psalms 108](../../../kjv/psalms/108) ****
Israel’s Praise for Salvation
*1. Israel’s praise ([Psalms 108:1-4](../../../kjv/psalms/108/1-4)* *)*
*2. The inheritance ([Psalms 108:5-9](../../../kjv/psalms/108/5-9)* *)*
*3. Through God alone ([Psalms 108:10-13](../../../kjv/psalms/108/10-13)* *)*
This Psalm is not a patchwork of two other Psalms as the critics declare ([Psalms 72:8-12](../../../kjv/psalms/72/8-12) and Psalm 60:7-14), but it comes in as a Psalm of David to give another hint on Israel’s praise in the day of deliverance. Their heart is fixed to sing His praise. It is a praise not only amongst themselves, but a praise among the nations. Where they were once a byword they are now a blessing. And their deliverance and possession they will enjoy is not of themselves; it is through God and His power. The second part of the Psalm looks back to the time when deliverance had not yet come.
