**carnel**
*(See Scofield "**")* .

**carnel** i.e. fleshy.

[1 Corinthians 1:12](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/1/12); [1 Corinthians 1:17](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/1/17); [John 1:13](../../../kjv/john/1/13); [Jude 1:23](../../../kjv/jude/1/23).

**one**
Paul refutes the notion that he and Cephas and Apollos are at variance, mere theologians and rival founders of sects: they are "one." [1 Corinthians 3:22](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/3/22); [1 Corinthians 16:12](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/16/12).
**reward** [1 Corinthians 9:17](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/9/17); [Daniel 12:3](../../../kjv/daniel/12/3); [1 Corinthians 3:14](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/3/14)

**grace**
Grace (imparted). [1 Corinthians 15:10](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/15/10); [Romans 6:1](../../../kjv/romans/6/1); [2 Peter 3:18](../../../kjv/2-peter/3/18)

**reward**
God, in the N.T. Scriptures, offers to the lost, salvation, and, for the faithful service of the saved, rewards. The passages are easily distinguished by remembering that salvation is invariably spoken of as a free gift (e.g.) [John 4:10](../../../kjv/john/4/10); [Romans 6:23](../../../kjv/romans/6/23); [Ephesians 2:8](../../../kjv/ephesians/2/8); [Ephesians 2:9](../../../kjv/ephesians/2/9) while rewards are earned by works ; [Matthew 10:42](../../../kjv/matthew/10/42); [Luke 19:17](../../../kjv/luke/19/17); [1 Corinthians 9:24](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/9/24); [1 Corinthians 9:25](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/9/25); [2 Timothy 4:7](../../../kjv/2-timothy/4/7); [2 Timothy 4:8](../../../kjv/2-timothy/4/8); [Revelation 2:10](../../../kjv/revelation/2/10); [Revelation 22:12](../../../kjv/revelation/22/12).
A further distinction is that salvation is a present possession [Luke 7:50](../../../kjv/luke/7/50); [John 3:36](../../../kjv/john/3/36); [John 5:24](../../../kjv/john/5/24); [John 6:47](../../../kjv/john/6/47); [John 6:47](../../../kjv/john/6/47) while rewards are a future attainment, to be given at the coming of the Lord ; [Matthew 16:27](../../../kjv/matthew/16/27); [2 Timothy 4:8](../../../kjv/2-timothy/4/8); [Revelation 22:12](../../../kjv/revelation/22/12).
**reward** [1 Corinthians 9:17](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/9/17); [Daniel 12:3](../../../kjv/daniel/12/3); [1 Corinthians 3:14](../../../kjv/1-corinthians/3/14)

**saved**
*(See Scofield "**")*

Marg
**The Lord** Jehovah. [Psalms 94:11](../../../kjv/psalms/94/11)

**world**
kosmos = earth. [Romans 8:19-21](../../../kjv/romans/8/19-21).
