This Psalm is almost word for word the same as the five [Psalms 40:13](../../../kjv/psalms/40/13) of Psalm 40; and it is written as a part of the succeeding Psalm in about 27 manuscripts. Both Psalms evidently appear to have been written by David during the rebellion of Absalom, and probably at the crisis when he heard of the sanguinary counsel which Ahithophel had given respecting him; or, as some suppose, when beyond Jordan. 2Sam. 17:1-21 **to bring:** [Psalms 38:1](../../../kjv/psalms/38/1), *title **O God:** [Psalms 40:13-17](../../../kjv/psalms/40/13-17), [Psalms 69:18](../../../kjv/psalms/69/18), [Psalms 71:12](../../../kjv/psalms/71/12), [Psalms 143:7](../../../kjv/psalms/143/7) **to help me:** Heb. to my help **Reciprocal:** [1 Chronicles 16:4](../../../kjv/1-chronicles/16/4) - to record [Psalms 5:11](../../../kjv/psalms/5/11) - But [Psalms 38:22](../../../kjv/psalms/38/22) - Make [Psalms 69:17](../../../kjv/psalms/69/17) - hear me speedily [Psalms 102:2](../../../kjv/psalms/102/2) - in the day **Let:** [Psalms 6:10](../../../kjv/psalms/6/10), [Psalms 35:4](../../../kjv/psalms/35/4), [Psalms 35:26](../../../kjv/psalms/35/26), [Psalms 71:13](../../../kjv/psalms/71/13), [Psalms 109:29](../../../kjv/psalms/109/29), [Isaiah 41:11](../../../kjv/isaiah/41/11) **my soul:** Rather,"my life," naphshee; for the word has frequently this meaning. **be turned:** [Isaiah 28:13](../../../kjv/isaiah/28/13), [John 18:6](../../../kjv/john/18/6) **Reciprocal:** [Psalms 25:3](../../../kjv/psalms/25/3) - let [Psalms 31:17](../../../kjv/psalms/31/17) - wicked [Psalms 40:14](../../../kjv/psalms/40/14) - Let them be ashamed [Psalms 63:9](../../../kjv/psalms/63/9) - seek [Psalms 71:12](../../../kjv/psalms/71/12) - make [Jeremiah 17:18](../../../kjv/jeremiah/17/18) - confounded [Lamentations 1:13](../../../kjv/lamentations/1/13) - he hath turned [Ezekiel 25:3](../../../kjv/ezekiel/25/3) - thou saidst **back:** [Psalms 40:15](../../../kjv/psalms/40/15), [Acts 1:18](../../../kjv/acts/1/18) **aha:** Heach!
