**Overview**
**** [Psalms 82:1](../../../kjv/psalms/82/1), The psalmist, having exhorted the judges, [Psalms 82:5](../../../kjv/psalms/82/5), and reproved their negligence, [Psalms 82:8](../../../kjv/psalms/82/8), prays God to judge.
Some refer this psalm to the time of David, and others to that of Hezekiah; but it is more probable that it was composed when Jehoshaphat reformed the courts throughout his kingdom. [2 Chronicles 19:6](../../../kjv/2-chronicles/19/6), [2 Chronicles 19:7](../../../kjv/2-chronicles/19/7)
