Jesus is the greatest physician we can ever find.

Why is that?

Matthew 9:12 But when Jesus heard that, he said unto them, They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.

Living in this world, we experience all kinds of sickness, trials, affliction, and suffering, on a physical, emotional, or even financial level. The bible tells us to learn to put our faith in Jesus Christ, instead of man or the world.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

We need to be resting in and believing this verse, not just knowing it. Remember verse 29, Jesus takes the burden and gives you his yolk, so you must believe that the burden is gone and the yolk is easy to bear. Faith is the victory.

Also, look at 1 John 5.

When we are in pain and experiencing that terrible sensation, we need to persuade our flesh, to trust in God and to believe in his promise. What helps us to overcome the suffering in life, is to realize that God takes the burden from us, and he also gives us a burden to bear. The best thing to do is to absolutely have faith in that burden he entrusts us with, for our betterment.

Isolation vs Assembling

Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

As the days are getting closer to the rapture, hardship is increasing even more, and we are already tasting the precursors of tribulation. We will need a lot more encouragement and energy. This verse teaches us brothers and sisters in Christ to really be there for one another, to help strengthen each other spiritually.

God will never give us more than what we can bear, hence in situations where we feel overwhelmed by hardships and pressure, it is worth asking ourselves are we taking in all the weight by ourselves?

It is perfectly fine to ask a little help from others. For example, asking someone to pray for us. One of the blessings from afflictions in life, is that it allows us to seek some guidance or help from our brothers and sisters in Christ, and that can develop the bond and relationship among one another.

Often times, people are more willing to seek help from health consultants or medical officers and pay them to resolve emotional conflicts and issues, when they could actually get the same kind of emotional support and help at Church for free. That clearly explains human nature, in trusting physical doctors, psychotherapies, more than Doctor Jesus. Rather you should tell it to Jesus so he can have you say your specific problem and teach you about your problem. He knows, you do not know.

Matthew 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!

It is important to lay ourselves in Jesus’s shelter so that we can be properly and gently taken care of. During this pandemic, it is not about self-isolation, but self-isolation with God. We need to seek God’s presence even more, especially through reading the scripture.

Physical sanitization vs spiritual sanitization

James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.

During this pandemic, we have been encouraged so much to constantly keep our hands sanitized and washed. Shelves at department stores and supermarkets are pretty much empty as hand sanitizers were previously wiped clean. Despite the advice given by authority, there were still repercussions that were notable. However, we might overlook that God has given us something much better to heal our ailment and our sickness, and that is to wash our hearts.

First, we need to acknowledge that a lot of the pain we are going through in life, has nothing to do with God. Most often they are the consequence of our own wrongdoings. As the verse explains, we need to break from our pride and humble ourselves, come to repentance if we truly wish to be healed by God. Sin isn’t just a hindrance in life, it is a blockage for joy and peace. Jesus wants you to grow, to learn, and to accept the problem so He can solve it. He doesn’t want you focused on the immediate fix.

God allows the suffering to happen to us, so that we can be taught and disciplined. It serves as a punishment out of God’s love. We can choose to look at it as a chastening designed by God, not personal suffering.

Through the Blood of the Lamb, and only by the Blood of the Lamb can our sins can be truly forgiven. Christ Jesus’s blood can transform us, and help us turn over a new leaf, as well as to conquer all kinds of worldly temptations.

Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

We need to learn to be disciplined enough to walk in Christ, even in the midst of suffering, we should not be conformed to the world, such as looking for alternatives with short term pleasure. The process may not be easy, but it is so crucial to go through that for the renewing of our mind. Always reply with prayers, as a foundation to help us achieve that goal. Prayers are also how we increase our faith and reliance on God, and if we are able to do that, it takes a lot of load and burden from ourselves.

The conclusion is that instead of relying on vaccines and solutions from the earth that may appear to be temporal, we need to rely on God to help build or strengthen our immune system from within, to have a sound mind to be able to handle all kinds of afflictions. Besides, make it a commitment to always pray to God, be it small or big matters, before the matters turn into afflictions or before it’s too late.
