Do we believe that America will receive a last day world revival? ## Will America receive a last day world revival? Majority of Christian churches and IFB churches who believe in the King James Bible, believe that there will be some kind of worldwide revival, that God will bless them with revival. A lot of them have hopes concerning America, arguing using certain verses that God will bless America. But, the Bible shows that this cannot be possible. > ***Psalm 33:12** “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.”* Our American coins have “in God we trust” inscriptions on it, so Christians will make a big deal that this is a God-fearing Christian country founded on Christian principles. Because of that, Americans can sing the patriotic songs. However, this is where dispensationalism is important. Concerning where God blesses a country with revival, there is only *one* country He pays attention to, it is the nation of Israel, and *never* America. The second part of Psalm 33:12 “the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance” is not referring to America, but to the Jews, God’s chosen people. The blessing upon a country is referring to the nation of Israel. > ***2 Chronicles 7:14** “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”* Who do you think this verse is applying to? It is again applying to Israel! Many will use this verse to apply it to America. America did not exist at this time when it was written in the Old Testament. Churches in America quote from this verse to preach to their people to repent, so that God can bless the country once more. However, “my people” refers to God’s chosen people, the Jews. God called the Jews out. ## What does God think of America? Let’s see what God thinks of America. > ***Isaiah 40: 17** “All nations before him are as nothing; and they are counted to him less than nothing, and vanity.”* What God thinks of America is nothing, less than nothing, and vanity. ## Will there be a worldwide revival? As we get closer to the Tribulation, will there be a worldwide revival, or is the Antichrist taking over the world? How could a worldwide revival occur if the Antichrist will take over the world? There would be no use for a one world order, one world religion, and Antichrist then! The Bible predicted that the world will be at its worst stage, where the man of Sin, Satan incarnate, is coming in to rule the world. This is no worldwide revival! They might argue about the 144 000 virgin male Jews in Revelation 7 showing possibility of a worldwide revival. But the entire book of Revelation shows that all the nations seek after the Antichrist. The ones who are not seeking the Antichrist are the saints of God. These numbers are still very small compared to the rest of the world. > ***2 Timothy 3:1-6**“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,”, * > ***2 Timothy 3:13** “But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived**.”* It does not get better, it turns worse and worse. That is why there is no hope of a worldwide revival, there is no such thing. If you want to get raptured, there has to be apostasy. One cannot get the rapture unless there is apostasy. The world *has to* wax worse and worse. > ***2 Thessalonians 2:1-3** “Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”* A falling away will occur first. If this does not happen, the day of Christ cannot come. Apostasy *has to* happen. ## What is a right Christian response to our country? Does this mean we should not pledge allegiance to the flag? Or not love our country and not honour the presidents? No! In fact, that is the opposite. It is our job as Bible Believing Christians to still do so. We still get to enjoy the privileges of what this country is offering and should give honour where it is due! America is not a communist country and we should be grateful! We also have some church members who are in the military serving our country, and Bible-believing churches who minister to the military members, just like in Dr Ruckman’s church. These people work their tails to provide us what we have today! Does this mean the government is not corrupt? Everything is corrupt today. But we still should give honour whom honour is due on the right things that they provide us, not on the wrong things. There are still many flaws in our country, it is corrupted and messed up, but we should still show that we honour our country. However, we cannot claim worldwide revival for America.
