Revelation 18:4 “And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

Revelation 18:4 is talking about Babylon being burned up and that the two Babylons in Revelation 17 and 18 are both talking about the one and same Babylon.

The next question is what time period is this in?

Some people might put the burning up of Babylon in the middle or an earlier period in the tribulation, but this is actually toward the end of the tribulation. Notice in verse 4 that God is telling the people to come out of Babylon because she is being burned up, she is falling. When you return to Revelation 16, the vials are being poured out as judgment from the Lord. The vials are in the latter part of the tribulation.

One of the very last vials that is poured out happens during the fall of Babylon in Revelation 16:19-21. In the verses before, Revelation 16:15-16, before the fall of Babylon, people are preparing for Armageddon, which is the end of the tribulation. After that, the seventh vial is about the fall of Babylon. That’s why the burning of Babylon is going to have to be pushed some time toward the latter part of the tribulation.

Revelation 18:5 “For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities.”

The Roman system has been carrying on from the BCs to early ADs, through Christ’s timeline, and even through the 2000 years of church history and current events today. The Lord remembers everything that they’ve done in persecuting the martyrs, in gaining wealth, in damning souls of men.

The Lord remembers and keeps track of all the things that were done.

On a spiritual plane, God is looking at this Babylonian system. He does not say Catholic nor Roman.

Why? Because this Babylon entity was carrying through the shifts and changes. It was pagan Rome, and it went to Roman Catholicism and in the modern century, they claimed the Vatican council and they’ve changed from the Inquisition timeline. This entity keeps changing, that’s why the Lord is not going to give one simplistic statement. If He says Catholic church, that’s not going to apply to pagan Rome so He calls it Babylon. Physically, we know that it’s the Roman system but spiritually speaking, God sees it as Babylon.

The spiritual entity of Babylon is not bound into one nation, its spirit is going to affect and give birth to different areas. What pastor mentioned earlier about the city of seven hills, it doesn’t seem to just apply to Rome, Babylon is the mother but she will have many daughters. You can find wordings in Revelation 17 and 18 applied to Jerusalem but that’s because they endorse the Babylonian worship system.

They didn’t come up with the religion themselves, the religion came from Babylon, all the way back from Nimrod and Semiramis. That system has been passing down throughout the years and it’s been settling at Rome as the mother. All other cities and nations are adopting it as daughters.

You can see a lot of similarities in Revelation 17 and 18 about the richness, Masonic symbolism, spiritual abomination of Babylon etc. You find that a lot will match with Revelation 17 and 18 with USA or Israel or other parts of Europe as well, but that’s only because they are all just borrowing; it all comes from one source. This proves that they are the children, not the original mother. There are too many pieces of evidence in Revelation 17 and 18 that fit with the Catholic church system more than Israel, USA or other parts of Europe.

We don’t want the Roman Catholics to burn in hell but we want this wicked system that’s damning so many souls to burn.

Revelation 18:6 “Reward her even as she rewarded you, and double unto her double according to her works: in the cup which she hath filled fill to her double.”

Reward does not necessarily mean a positive thing, it basically means they give you what you deserved. Because she deserves this, God is going to reward her with a punishment. Why? Because of the blood of the martyrs. God recalls this wicked system and He’s going to reward her as she rewarded us.

Even more than that, God will make sure that He will double the reward on this wicked system. This system has been going on for thousands of years and it has damned so many souls to hell so God’s going to make sure that she receives double for all the works that she did in her life.

She is holding a golden cup spiritually and God’s going to double that blood on this wicked system, she will burn.

In the book of Hosea, there is a passage that mentions ‘they that sow the wind shall reap the whirlwind’. It means that because a lot of what they sowed is wicked and sinful, the Lord is going to make sure that they reap not just wind but a whirlwind.

Whatever you sow in your life, whatever work you did in your life, like what we read at Revelation 18, according to their works, you have to reap what you sow. We have heard of that phrase: ‘you reap what you sow’ but God warns that reaping can be much worse than the sowing.

Just because you’ve committed a little sin, that doesn’t mean that you’re only going to get a small little punishment. Sin always plays unfair with you, that’s what it does, it’s wicked, it’s a traitor and it wants to eat you alive.

That’s why we preach hard about sin, that’s why we rebuke preachers who don’t preach on sin. That’s how wicked sin is that it has to be kicked, if you don’t do that, that’s why so many people are living wrecked lives because they’re reaping what they’ve sown. No one warned them about that, that’s why they sinned and they’re not just reaping an equal amount but double. No wonder there are so many Christians who became atheist and left the church because their churches aren’t preaching about sin, that’s why they think it’s God’s fault.

Galatians 6:7-8 “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”

Romans 2:4 “Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance? But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;”

You can see that these passages are not just applicable today but it’s prophetic as well towards the Revelation timeline because these two passages are saying ‘be careful how you do your works in your life because you will reap corruption when you sow to your flesh’. The church age is currently under the age of grace and God has shown enough grace towards every godforsaken individual around the world who has blasphemed the Lord, He has shed them enough grace and mercy so that they can repent. But if they don’t repent, God’s remembering all the goodness that He’s given to them and they’ve abused it, and that’s when He builds up His wrath, that’s found in Romans 2.

Don’t gamble with sin or with your flesh. Don’t mess with sin, don’t trust your flesh so much.

It’s a dangerous thing, it’ll betray you and cause double the problem.
