Ephesians 1:18: “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,”

Christians have the inheritance from the Father – glories and riches up in heaven. This is a subject that should be studied more and not how many toes the antichrist has.

Ephesians 1:19: “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power”

In verse 19, we can see that God also wants the Christian to know the exceeding greatness of His power toward us (us-ward). God gives us His power who believes. Verse 19 is also a good verse to use when you pray.

Ephesians 1:20: “Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places”

The power that God gives you is mentioned in verses 20-23. This power was in Christ when He raised Him from the dead. This power that raises Jesus Christ also put Him on the right hand in heavenly places. This power is also given to us.

Revelation 2:26-27: “And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father.”

Notice how Jesus received this power to reign and rule over people, the church is promised that as well.

Revelation 3:21: “To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.”

That power that Jesus has, to sit at the throne next to His Father is also given to the saved believer! Remember that these verses from the book of Revelation require a double application. This verse applies to tribulation saints, the Christians during church age overcome by faith.

Ephesians 1:21-22: “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,”

From Ephesians 1:21, we see that this power is far above all ranks, kingdoms, and every name in this world and also in the next world.

In verse 22, we see that everything goes under the feet of Jesus Christ. He rules over everything. He is the head of everything and gives that to the church.

In summary, the power that resurrected Jesus Christ and sits Him at the right hand of God the Father will also be the same power that raptures a Christian and gives them the rulership over everything. This power exists in Christians, but we have to activate it through prayer.

Then why doesn’t God answer all our prayers? We can see the answer in Ephesians 1:19, “according to the working of his mighty power.” It has to be according to God’s power, not our flesh.
