אִֽישׁ׃ H376 15 sent וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ H7971 And God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֨ים׀ H430 And the angel וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 unto Jerusalem לִֽירוּשָׁלִַם֮ H3389 it and as he was destroying הַמַּשְׁחִית֙ H7843 it and as he was destroying הַמַּשְׁחִית֙ H7843 beheld רָאָ֤ה H7200 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 and he repented וַיִּנָּ֣חֶם H5162 עַל H5921 him of the evil הָֽרָעָ֔ה H7451 and said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And the angel וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 it and as he was destroying הַמַּשְׁחִית֙ H7843 It is enough רַ֔ב H7227 עַתָּ֖ה H6258 stay הֶ֣רֶף H7503 now thine hand יָדֶ֑ךָ H3027 And the angel וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 stood עֹמֵ֔ד H5975 עִם H5973 by the threshingfloor גֹּ֖רֶן H1637 of Ornan אָרְנָ֥ן H771 the Jebusite הַיְבוּסִֽי׃ H2983 16 lifted up וַיִּשָּׂ֨א H5375 And David דָּוִ֧יד H1732 אֶת H853 his eyes עֵינָ֗יו H5869 and saw וַיַּ֞רְא H7200 אֶת H853 the angel מַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 stand עֹמֵ֗ד H5975 בֵּ֤ין H996 between the earth הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ H776 וּבֵ֣ין H996 and the heaven הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם H8064 sword וְחַרְבּ֤וֹ H2719 having a drawn שְׁלוּפָה֙ H8025 in his hand בְּיָד֔וֹ H3027 stretched out נְטוּיָ֖ה H5186 עַל H5921 over Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 fell וַיִּפֹּ֨ל H5307 And David דָּוִ֧יד H1732 and the elders וְהַזְּקֵנִ֛ים H2205 of Israel who were clothed מְכֻסִּ֥ים H3680 in sackcloth בַּשַּׂקִּ֖ים H8242 עַל H5921 upon their faces פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃ H6440 17 Is it not I that commanded אָמַ֜רְתִּי H559 And David דָּוִ֣יד H1732 אֶֽל H413 my God אֱלֹהַ֗י H430 הֲלֹא֩ H3808 אֲנִ֨י H589 Is it not I that commanded אָמַ֜רְתִּי H559 to be numbered לִמְנ֣וֹת H4487 but not on thy people וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֖ H5971 וַֽאֲנִי H589 ה֤וּא H1931 אֲשֶׁר H834 even I it is that have sinned חָטָ֙אתִי֙ H2398 and done evil הֲרֵע֔וֹתִי H7489 and done evil הֲרֵע֔וֹתִי H7489 וְאֵ֥לֶּה H428 but as for these sheep הַצֹּ֖אן H6629 מֶ֣ה H4100 what have they done עָשׂ֑וּ H6213 I pray thee O LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 my God אֱלֹהַ֗י H430 תְּהִ֨י H1961 נָ֤א H4994 let thine hand יָֽדְךָ֙ H3027 בִּ֚י H0 house וּבְבֵ֣ית H1004 be on me and on my father's אָבִ֔י H1 but not on thy people וּֽבְעַמְּךָ֖ H5971 לֹ֥א H3808 that they should be plagued לְמַגֵּפָֽה׃ H4046 18 Then the angel וּמַלְאַ֧ךְ H4397 of the LORD לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 commanded לֵאמֹ֣ר H559 אֶל H413 Gad גָּ֖ד H1410 commanded לֵאמֹ֣ר H559 that David דָוִ֗יד H1732 כִּ֣י׀ H3588 should go up יַֽעֲלֶ֣ה H5927 that David דָוִ֗יד H1732 and set up לְהָקִ֤ים H6965 an altar מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ H4196 of the LORD לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 in the threshingfloor בְּגֹ֖רֶן H1637 of Ornan אָרְנָ֥ן H771 the Jebusite הַיְבֻסִֽי׃ H2983 19 went up וַיַּ֤עַל H5927 And David דָּוִיד֙ H1732 at the saying בִּדְבַר H1697 of Gad גָּ֔ד H1410 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which he spake דִּבֶּ֖ר H1696 in the name בְּשֵׁ֥ם H8034 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 20 turned back וַיָּ֣שָׁב H7725 And Ornan וְאָרְנָ֖ן H771 and saw וַיַּרְא֙ H7200 אֶת H853 the angel הַמַּלְאָ֔ךְ H4397 and his four וְאַרְבַּ֧עַת H702 sons בָּנָ֛יו H1121 עִמּ֖וֹ H5973 with him hid מִֽתְחַבְּאִ֑ים H2244 And Ornan וְאָרְנָ֖ן H771 was threshing דָּ֥שׁ H1758 wheat חִטִּֽים׃ H2406 21 came וַיָּבֹ֥א H935 And as David לְדָוִ֛יד H1732 עַד H5704 Ornan אָרְנָן֙ H771 looked וַיַּבֵּ֤ט H5027 Ornan אָרְנָן֙ H771 and saw וַיַּ֣רְא H7200 אֶת H853 And as David לְדָוִ֛יד H1732 and went out וַיֵּצֵא֙ H3318 מִן H4480 of the threshingfloor הַגֹּ֔רֶן H1637 and bowed וַיִּשְׁתַּ֧חוּ H7812 And as David לְדָוִ֛יד H1732 with his face אַפַּ֖יִם H639 to the ground אָֽרְצָה׃ H776 22 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 Then David דָּוִ֜יד H1732 אֶל H413 to Ornan אָרְנָ֗ן H771 Grant תְּנֵ֣הוּ H5414 לִּי֙ H0 me the place מְק֣וֹם H4725 of this threshingfloor הַגֹּ֔רֶן H1637 that I may build וְאֶבְנֶה H1129 בּ֥וֹ H0 an altar מִזְבֵּ֖חַ H4196 therein unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֑ה H3068 price בְּכֶ֤סֶף H3701 it me for the full מָלֵא֙ H4392 Grant תְּנֵ֣הוּ H5414 לִ֔י H0 may be stayed וְתֵֽעָצַ֥ר H6113 that the plague הַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה H4046 מֵעַ֥ל H5921 from the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 23 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Ornan אָרְנָ֤ן H771 אֶל H413 unto David דָּוִיד֙ H1732 Take קַֽח H3947 לָ֔ךְ H0 do וְיַ֛עַשׂ H6213 it to thee and let my lord אֲדֹנִ֥י H113 the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 that which is good הַטּ֣וֹב H2896 in his eyes בְּעֵינָ֑יו H5869 lo רְאֵה֩ H7200 I give נָתָֽתִּי׃ H5414 thee the oxen הַבָּקָ֜ר H1241 also for burnt offerings לָֽעֹל֗וֹת H5930 and the threshing instruments וְהַמּֽוֹרִגִּ֧ים H4173 for wood לָֽעֵצִ֛ים H6086 and the wheat וְהַֽחִטִּ֥ים H2406 for the meat offering לַמִּנְחָ֖ה H4503 הַכֹּ֥ל H3605 I give נָתָֽתִּי׃ H5414 24 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And king הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ H4428 David דָּוִיד֙ H1732 to Ornan לְאָרְנָ֔ן H771 לֹ֕א H3808 כִּֽי H3588 Nay but I will verily אֶקְנֶ֖ה H7069 Nay but I will verily אֶקְנֶ֖ה H7069 price בְּכֶ֣סֶף H3701 it for the full מָלֵ֑א H4392 כִּ֠י H3588 לֹֽא H3808 for I will not take אֶשָּׂ֤א H5375 אֲשֶׁר H834 לְךָ֙ H0 that which is thine for the LORD לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 nor offer וְהַֽעֲל֥וֹת H5927 burnt offerings עוֹלָ֖ה H5930 without cost חִנָּֽם׃ H2600 25 gave וַיִּתֵּ֥ן H5414 So David דָּוִ֛יד H1732 to Ornan לְאָרְנָ֖ן H771 for the place בַּמָּק֑וֹם H4725 shekels שִׁקְלֵ֣י H8255 of gold זָהָ֔ב H2091 by weight מִשְׁקָ֖ל H4948 six שֵׁ֥שׁ H8337 hundred מֵאֽוֹת׃ H3967 26 built וַיִּבֶן֩ H1129 שָׁ֨ם H8033 And David דָּוִ֤יד H1732 there an altar מִזְבַּ֥ח H4196 unto the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 and offered וַיַּ֥עַל H5927 burnt offerings הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ H5930 and peace offerings וּשְׁלָמִ֑ים H8002 and called וַיִּקְרָא֙ H7121 אֶל H413 unto the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 and he answered וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֤הוּ H6030 by fire בָאֵשׁ֙ H784 מִן H4480 him from heaven הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם H8064 עַ֖ל H5921 there an altar מִזְבַּ֥ח H4196 burnt offerings הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ H5930 27 commanded וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 the angel לַמַּלְאָ֔ךְ H4397 again וַיָּ֥שֶׁב H7725 his sword חַרְבּ֖וֹ H2719 אֶל H413 into the sheath נְדָנָֽהּ׃ H5084 28 At that time בָּעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֔יא H1931 saw בִּרְא֤וֹת H7200 when David דָּוִיד֙ H1732 כִּֽי H3588 had answered עָנָ֣הוּ H6030 that the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 him in the threshingfloor בְּגֹ֖רֶן H1637 of Ornan אָרְנָ֣ן H771 the Jebusite הַיְבוּסִ֑י H2983 then he sacrificed וַיִּזְבַּ֖ח H2076 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 29 For the tabernacle וּמִשְׁכַּ֣ן H4908 of the LORD יְ֠הוָה H3068 אֲשֶׁר H834 made עָשָׂ֨ה H6213 which Moses מֹשֶׁ֧ה H4872 in the wilderness בַמִּדְבָּ֛ר H4057 and the altar וּמִזְבַּ֥ח H4196 of the burnt offering הָֽעוֹלָ֖ה H5930 were at that season בָּעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֑יא H1931 in the high place בַּבָּמָ֖ה H1116 at Gibeon בְּגִבְעֽוֹן׃ H1391 30 וְלֹֽא H3808 could יָכֹ֥ל H3201 But David דָּוִ֛יד H1732 לָלֶ֥כֶת H1980 because מִפְּנֵ֕י H6440 it to
