2 commanded וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֔יד H1732 to gather together לִכְנוֹס֙ H3664 אֶת H853 the strangers הַגֵּרִ֔ים H1616 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 that were in the land בְּאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל Solomon לִשְׁלֹמֹ֑ה H8010 My son בְּנִ֕ו H1121 אֲנִי֙ H589 הָיָ֣ה H1961 עִם H5973 as for me it was in my mind לְבָבִ֔י H3824 to build לִבְנ֣וֹת H1129 an house בַּ֔יִת H1004 unto the name לְשֵׁ֖ם H8034 of the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 my God אֱלֹהָֽי׃ H430 8 וַיְהִ֨י H1961 עָלַ֤י H5921 But the word דְּבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 came to me saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 blood דָּמִ֣ים H1818 abundantly לָרֹב֙ H7230 Thou hast shed שָׁפַ֥כְתָּ H8210 wars וּמִלְחָמ֥וֹת H4421 great גְּדֹל֖וֹת H1419 and hast made עָשִׂ֑יתָ H6213 לֹֽא H3808 thou shalt not build תִבְנֶ֥ה H1129 an house בַ֙יִת֙ H1004 unto my name לִשְׁמִ֔י H8034 כִּ֚י H3588 blood דָּמִ֣ים H1818 much רַבִּ֔ים H7227 Thou hast shed שָׁפַ֥כְתָּ H8210 upon the earth אַ֖רְצָה H776 in my sight לְפָנָֽי׃ H6440 9 הִנֵּה H2009 Behold a son בֵ֞ן H1121 shall be born נוֹלָ֣ד H3205 לָ֗ךְ H0 ה֤וּא H1931 יִֽהְיֶה֙ H1961 to thee who shall be a man אִ֣ישׁ H376 of rest מְנוּחָ֔ה H4496 and I will give him rest וַהֲנִיח֥וֹתִי H5117 ל֛וֹ H0 מִכָּל H3605 from H8253 and I will give אֶתֵּ֥ן H5414 עַל H5921 unto Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 in his days בְּיָמָֽיו׃ H3117 10 הֽוּא H1931 He shall build יִבְנֶ֥ה H1129 an house בַ֙יִת֙ H1004 for my name לִשְׁמִ֔י H8034 וְהוּא֙ H1931 יִֽהְיֶה H1961 לִּ֣י H0 and he shall be my son לְבֵ֔ן H1121 וַֽאֲנִי H589 ל֖וֹ H0 and I will be his father לְאָ֑ב H1 and I will establish וַהֲכִ֨ינוֹתִ֜י H3559 the throne כִּסֵּ֧א H3678 of his kingdom מַלְכוּת֛וֹ H4438 עַל H5921 over Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 for עַד H5704 ever עוֹלָֽם׃ H5769 11 עַתָּ֣ה H6258 Now my son בְנִ֔י H1121 יְהִ֥י H1961 of the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 H1961 timber וְעֵצִ֤ים H6086 also and stone וַֽאֲבָנִים֙ H68 I have prepared הֲכִינ֔וֹתִי H3559 וַֽעֲלֵיהֶ֖ם H5921 and thou mayest add תּוֹסִֽיף׃ H3254 15 וְעִמְּךָ֤ H5973 with thee in abundance לָרֹב֙ H7230 Moreover there are workmen עֹשֵׂ֣י H6213 for every manner of work מְלָאכָֽה׃ H4399 hewers חֹֽצְבִ֕ים H2672 and workers וְחָֽרָשֵׁ֥י H2796 of stone אֶ֖בֶן H68 and timber וָעֵ֑ץ H6086 וְכָל H3605 and all manner of cunning men חָכָ֖ם H2450 בְּכָל H3605 for every manner of work מְלָאכָֽה׃ H4399 16 Of the gold לַזָּהָ֥ב H2091 the silver לַכֶּ֛סֶף H3701 and the brass וְלַנְּחֹ֥שֶׁת H5178 and the iron וְלַבַּרְזֶ֖ל H1270 אֵ֣ין H369 there is no number מִסְפָּ֑ר H4557 Arise ק֣וּם H6965 therefore and be doing וַֽעֲשֵׂ֔ה H6213 וִיהִ֥י H1961 and the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 עִמָּֽךְ׃ H5973 17 also commanded וַיְצַ֤ו H6680 David דָּוִיד֙ H1732 לְכָל H3605 all the princes שָׂרֵ֣י H8269 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 to help לַעְזֹ֖ר H5826 Solomon לִשְׁלֹמֹ֥ה H8010 his son בְנֽוֹ׃ H1121 18 הֲלֹ֨א H3808 Is not the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 your God אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ H430 עִמָּכֶ֔ם H5973 with you and hath he not given you rest וְהֵנִ֥יחַ H5117 לָכֶ֖ם H0 on every side מִסָּבִ֑יב H5439 כִּ֣י׀ H3588 for he hath given נָתַ֣ן H5414 into mine hand בְּיָדִ֗י H3027 אֵ֚ת H853 the inhabitants יֹֽשְׁבֵ֣י H3427 and the land הָאָ֛רֶץ H776 is subdued וְנִכְבְּשָׁ֥ה H3533 and the land הָאָ֛רֶץ H776 and before
