Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֖ם H7346 day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 the third הַשְּׁלִישִֽׁי׃ H7992 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 had appointed דִּבֶּ֤ר H1696 as the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 Come to me again שׁ֥וּבוּ H7725 אֵלַ֖י H413 day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 the third הַשְּׁלִישִֽׁי׃ H7992 13 answered וַיַּ֧עַן H6030 And the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 אֶת H853 the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 roughly קָשָׁ֑ה H7186 and forsook כַּֽעֲצַ֤ת H6098 of the young men הַיְלָדִים֙ H3206 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 My father אָבִ֗י H1 heavy הִכְבִּ֣יד H3513 אֶֽת H853 to your yoke עֻלְּכֶ֑ם H5923 וַֽאֲנִ֖י H589 and I will add אֹסִ֣יף H3254 that the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ׀ H4428 answered דָּבָ֣ר׀ H1697 saying לֵאמֹ֡ר H559 מַה H4100 לָּנוּ֩ H0 What portion חֵ֨לֶק H2506 David דָּוִ֑ד H1732 וְלֹֽא H3808 neither have we inheritance נַחֲלָ֣ה H5159 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 O Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 to your tents לְאֹֽהָלָֽיו׃ H168 17 But as for the children וּבְנֵ֣י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 which dwelt הַיֹּֽשְׁבִ֖ים H3427 in the cities בְּעָרֵ֣י H5892 of Judah יְהוּדָ֑ה H3063 reigned וַיִּמְלֹ֥ךְ H4427 עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם H5921 Rehoboam רְחַבְעָֽם׃ H7346 18 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֞ח H7971 Then king וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֗ם H7346 אֶת H853 Adoram אֲדֹרָם֙ H151 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 עַל H5921 who was over the tribute הַמַּ֔ס H4522 stoned וַיִּרְגְּמ֨וּ H7275 כָל H3605 and all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל H3478 בּ֛וֹ H0 him with stones אֶ֖בֶן H68 that he died וַיָּמֹ֑ת H4191 Then king וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֗ם H7346 made speed הִתְאַמֵּץ֙ H553 to get him up לַֽעֲל֣וֹת H5927 to his chariot בַּמֶּרְכָּבָ֔ה H4818 to flee לָנ֖וּס H5127 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ H3389 19 rebelled וַיִּפְשְׁע֤וּ H6586 So Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 against the house בְּבֵ֣ית H1004 of David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 עַ֖ד H5704 unto this day הַיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 20 וַיְהִ֞י H1961 heard כִּשְׁמֹ֤עַ H8085 כָּל H3605 And it came to pass when all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 כִּֽי H3588 was come again שָׁ֣ב H7725 that Jeroboam יָֽרָבְעָ֔ם H3379 that they sent וַֽיִּשְׁלְח֗וּ H7971 and called וַיִּקְרְא֤וּ H7121 אֹתוֹ֙ H853 אֶל H413 him unto the congregation הָ֣עֵדָ֔ה H5712 and made him king וַיַּמְלִ֥יכוּ H4427 אֹת֖וֹ H853 עַל H5921 כָּל H3605 And it came to pass when all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 לֹ֤א H3808 הָיָה֙ H1961 there was none that followed אַֽחֲרֵ֣י H310 the house בֵית H1004 of David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 but זֽוּלָתִ֥י H2108 the tribe שֵֽׁבֶט H7626 of Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 לְבַדּֽוֹ׃ H905 21 was come וַיָּבֹ֣או H935 And when Rehoboam לִרְחַבְעָ֖ם H7346 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִַם֒ H3389 he assembled וַיַּקְהֵל֩ H6950 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 against the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of Judah יְהוּדָ֜ה H3063 וְאֶת H853 with the tribe שֵׁ֣בֶט H7626 of Benjamin בִּנְיָמִ֗ן H1144 an hundred מֵאָ֨ה H3967 and fourscore וּשְׁמֹנִ֥ים H8084 thousand אֶ֛לֶף H505 chosen men בָּח֖וּר H977 which were warriors עֹשֵׂ֣ה H6213 מִלְחָמָ֑ה H4421 to fight לְהִלָּחֵם֙ H3898 עִם H5973 against the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 again לְהָשִׁיב֙ H7725 אֶת H853 the kingdom הַמְּלוּכָ֔ה H4410 And when Rehoboam לִרְחַבְעָ֖ם H7346 the son בֶּן H1121 of Solomon שְׁלֹמֹֽה׃ H8010 22 וַֽיְהִי֙ H1961 But the word דְּבַ֣ר H1697 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 אֶל H413 came unto Shemaiah שְׁמַעְיָ֥ה H8098 the man אִישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 23 Speak לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 אֶל H413 unto Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֤ם H7346 the son בֶּן H1121 of Solomon שְׁלֹמֹה֙ H8010 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 וְאֶל H413 כָּל H3605 and unto all the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 and Benjamin וּבִנְיָמִ֑ין H1144 and to the remnant וְיֶ֥תֶר H3499 of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 Speak לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 24 כֹּ֣ה H3541 Thus saith אָמַ֣ר H559 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 לֹֽא H3808 Ye shall not go up תַעֲלוּ֩ H5927 וְלֹא H3808 nor fight תִלָּ֨חֲמ֜וּן H3898 עִם H5973 against your brethren אֲחֵיכֶ֣ם H251 the children בְּנֵֽי H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל H3478 and returned וַיָּשֻׁ֥בוּ H7725 every man אִ֣ישׁ H376 to his house לְבֵית֔וֹ H1004 כִּ֧י H3588 מֵֽאִתִּ֛י H853 is נִֽהְיָ֖ה H1961 according to the word כִּדְבַ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 from me They hearkened וַֽיִּשְׁמְעוּ֙ H8085 אֶת H853 according to the word כִּדְבַ֥ר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 and returned וַיָּשֻׁ֥בוּ H7725 לָלֶ֖כֶת H1980 according to the word כִּדְבַ֥ר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 25 built וַיִּ֖בֶן H1129 Then Jeroboam יָֽרָבְעָ֧ם H3379 אֶת H853 Shechem שְׁכֶ֛ם H7927 in mount בְּהַ֥ר H2022 Ephraim אֶפְרַ֖יִם H669 and dwelt וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב H3427 בָּ֑הּ H0 therein and went out וַיֵּצֵ֣א H3318 מִשָּׁ֔ם H8033 built וַיִּ֖בֶן H1129 אֶת H853 Penuel פְּנוּאֵֽל׃ H6439 26 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 And Jeroboam יָֽרָבְעָ֖ם H3379 in his heart בְּלִבּ֑וֹ H3820 עַתָּ֛ה H6258 return תָּשׁ֥וּב H7725 Now shall the kingdom הַמַּמְלָכָ֖ה H4467 to the house לְבֵ֥ית H1004 of David דָּוִֽד׃ H1732 27 אִֽם H518 go up יַעֲלֶ֣ה׀ H5927 If this people הָעָ֤ם H5971 הַזֶּ֗ה H2088 to do לַֽעֲשׂ֨וֹת H6213 sacrifice זְבָחִ֤ים H2077 in the house בְּבֵית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 at Jerusalem בִּיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 me and go again וְשָׁ֖בוּ H7725 then shall the heart לֵ֣ב H3820 If this people הָעָ֤ם H5971 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 אֶל H413 unto their lord אֲדֹ֣נֵיהֶ֔ם H113 אֶל H413 even unto Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֥ם H7346 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 and they shall kill וַֽהֲרָגֻ֕נִי H2026 me and go again וְשָׁ֖בוּ H7725 אֶל H413 even unto Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֥ם H7346 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 28 took counsel וַיִּוָּעַ֣ץ H3289 Whereupon the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 and made וַיַּ֕עַשׂ H6213 two שְׁנֵ֖י H8147 calves עֶגְלֵ֣י H5695 of gold זָהָ֑ב H2091 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֲלֵהֶ֗ם H413 unto them It is too much רַב H7227 לָכֶם֙ H0 for you to go up הֶֽעֱל֖וּךָ H5927 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 behold thy gods אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ H430 O Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 for you to go up הֶֽעֱל֖וּךָ H5927 out of the land מֵאֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Egypt מִצְרָֽיִם׃ H4714 29 And he set וַיָּ֥שֶׂם H7760 אֶת H853 and H2088 became a sin לְחַטָּ֑את H2403 וַיֵּֽלְכ֥וּ H1980 for the people הָעָ֛ם H5971 to worship before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the one הָֽאֶחָ֖ד H259 עַד H5704 even unto Dan דָּֽן׃ H1835 31 And he made וַיַּ֤עַשׂ H6213 אֶת H853 an house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of high places בָּמ֑וֹת H1116 And he made וַיַּ֤עַשׂ H6213 priests כֹּֽהֲנִים֙ H3548 of the lowest מִקְצ֣וֹת H7098 of the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 הָי֖וּ H1961 which were not of the sons מִבְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Levi לֵוִֽי׃ H3878 32 So did עָשָֽׂה׃ H6213 And Jeroboam יָֽרָבְעָ֣ם׀ H3379 a feast כֶּחָ֣ג׀ H2282 month לַחֹ֜דֶשׁ H2320 in the eighth הַשְּׁמִינִ֣י H8066 on the fifteenth בַּחֲמִשָּֽׁה H2568 עָשָׂר֩ H6240 day י֨וֹם׀ H3117 month לַחֹ֜דֶשׁ H2320 a feast כֶּחָ֣ג׀ H2282 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that is in Judah בִּֽיהוּדָ֗ה H3063 and he
