H3001 that the brook הַנָּ֑חַל H5158 כִּ֛י H3588 לֹֽא H3808 הָיָ֥ה H1961 because there had been no rain גֶ֖שֶׁם H1653 in the land בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ H776 8 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 And the word דְבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֵלָ֥יו H413 came unto him saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 9 Arise ק֣וּם H6965 לֵ֤ךְ H1980 thee to Zarephath צָֽרְפַ֙תָה֙ H6886 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which belongeth to Zidon לְצִיד֔וֹן H6721 and dwell וְיָֽשַׁבְתָּ֖ H3427 שָׁ֑ם H8033 הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 there behold I have commanded צִוִּ֥יתִי H6680 שָׁ֛ם H8033 woman אִשָּׁ֥ה H802 a widow אַלְמָנָ֖ה H490 there to sustain לְכַלְכְּלֶֽךָ׃ H3557 10 So he arose וַיָּ֣קָם׀ H6965 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ H1980 to Zarephath צָֽרְפַ֗תָה H6886 And when he came וַיָּבֹא֙ H935 אֶל H413 to the gate פֶּ֣תַח H6607 of the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 וְהִנֵּה H2009 שָׁ֛ם H8033 woman אִשָּׁ֥ה H802 behold the widow אַלְמָנָ֖ה H490 was there gathering מְקֹשֶׁ֣שֶׁת H7197 of sticks עֵצִ֑ים H6086 and he called וַיִּקְרָ֤א H7121 אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙ H413 to her and said וַיֹּאמַ֔ר H559 Fetch קְחִי H3947 נָ֨א H4994 לִ֧י H0 me I pray thee a little מְעַט H4592 water מַ֛יִם H4325 in a vessel בַּכְּלִ֖י H3627 that I may drink וְאֶשְׁתֶּֽה׃ H8354 11 וַתֵּ֖לֶךְ H1980 Bring לִֽקְחִי H3947 it he called וַיִּקְרָ֤א H7121 אֵלֶ֙יהָ֙ H413 to her and said וַיֹּאמַ֔ר H559 Bring לִֽקְחִי H3947 נָ֥א H4994 לִ֛י H0 me I pray thee a morsel פַּת H6595 of bread לֶ֖חֶם H3899 in thine hand בְּיָדֵֽךְ׃ H3027 12 And she said וַתֹּ֗אמֶר H559 liveth חַי H2416 As the LORD יְהוָ֤ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ H430 אִם H518 I have יֶשׁ H3426 לִ֣י H0 not a cake מָע֔וֹג H4580 כִּ֣י H3588 אִם H518 but an handful מְלֹ֤א H4393 כַף H3709 of meal קֶ֙מַח֙ H7058 in a barrel בַּכַּ֔ד H3537 and a little וּמְעַט H4592 oil שֶׁ֖מֶן H8081 in a cruse בַּצַּפָּ֑חַת H6835 וְהִנְנִ֨י H2005 and behold I am gathering מְקֹשֶׁ֜שֶׁת H7197 two שְׁנַ֣יִם H8147 sticks עֵצִ֗ים H6086 that I may go in וּבָ֙אתִי֙ H935 and dress וַֽעֲשִׂיתִ֙יהוּ֙ H6213 לִ֣י H0 it for me and my son וְלִבְנִ֔י H1121 that we may eat וַֽאֲכַלְנֻ֖הוּ H398 it and die וָמָֽתְנוּ׃ H4191 13 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 אֵלֶ֤יהָ H413 And Elijah אֵֽלִיָּ֙הוּ֙ H452 אַל H408 unto her Fear תִּ֣ירְאִ֔י H3372 not go בֹּ֖אִי H935 and do תַּֽעֲשִׂ֖י H6213 as thou hast said כִדְבָרֵ֑ךְ H1697 אַ֣ךְ H389 and do תַּֽעֲשִׂ֖י H6213 לִ֣י H0 me thereof מִ֠שָּׁם H8033 cake עֻגָ֨ה H5692 a little קְטַנָּ֤ה H6996 first בָרִֽאשֹׁנָה֙ H7223 and bring וְהוֹצֵ֣אתְ H3318 לִ֔י H0 וְלָ֣ךְ H0 for thee and for thy son וְלִבְנֵ֔ךְ H1121 and do תַּֽעֲשִׂ֖י H6213 it unto me and after בָּאַֽחֲרֹנָֽה׃ H314 14 כִּ֣י H3588 כֹה֩ H3541 For thus saith אָמַ֨ר H559 that the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל H3478 The barrel כַּ֤ד H3537 of meal הַקֶּ֙מַח֙ H7058 לֹ֣א H3808 shall not waste תִכְלָ֔ה H3615 neither shall the cruse וְצַפַּ֥חַת H6835 of oil הַשֶּׁ֖מֶן H8081 לֹ֣א H3808 fail תֶחְסָ֑ר H2637 עַ֠ד H5704 until the day י֧וֹם H3117 sendeth תֵּתן H5414 that the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 rain גֶּ֖שֶׁם H1653 עַל H5921 upon פְּנֵ֥י H6440 the earth הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ H127 15 וַתֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 and did וַֽתַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה H6213 according to the saying כִּדְבַ֣ר H1697 of Elijah אֵֽלִיָּ֑הוּ H452 did eat וַתֹּ֧אכַל H398 הִֽוא H1931 וָה֛יּא H1931 and she and he and her house וּבֵיתָ֖הּ H1004 many days יָמִֽים׃ H3117 16 And the barrel כַּ֤ד H3537 of meal הַקֶּ֙מַח֙ H7058 לֹ֣א H3808 wasted כָלָ֔תָה H3615 not neither did the cruse וְצַפַּ֥חַת H6835 of oil הַשֶּׁ֖מֶן H8081 לֹ֣א H3808 fail חָסֵ֑ר H2638 according to the word כִּדְבַ֣ר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which he spake דִּבֶּ֖ר H1696 by בְּיַ֥ד H3027 Elijah אֵֽלִיָּֽהוּ׃ H452 17 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 And it came to pass after אַחַר֙ H310 these things הַדְּבָרִ֣ים H1697 הָאֵ֔לֶּה H428 fell sick חָלָ֕ה H2470 that the son בֶּן H1121 of the woman הָֽאִשָּׁ֖ה H802 the mistress בַּֽעֲלַ֣ת H1172 of the house הַבָּ֑יִת H1004 וַיְהִ֤י H1961 and his sickness חָלְיוֹ֙ H2483 sore חָזָ֣ק H2389 was so מְאֹ֔ד H3966 עַ֛ד H5704 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 לֹא H3808 left נֽוֹתְרָה H3498 בּ֖וֹ H0 that there was no breath נְשָׁמָֽה׃ H5397 18 And she said וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 unto Elijah אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ H452 מַה H4100 לִּ֥י H0 וָלָ֖ךְ H0 What have I to do with thee O thou man אִ֣ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים H430 art thou come בָּ֧אתָ H935 אֵלַ֛י H413 to remembrance לְהַזְכִּ֥יר H2142 אֶת H853 my sin עֲוֹנִ֖י H5771 and to slay וּלְהָמִ֥ית H4191 אֶת H853 my son בְּנִֽי׃ H1121 19 And he said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 אֵלֶ֖יהָ H413 unto her Give תְּנִי H5414 לִ֣י H0 אֶת H853 me thy son בְּנֵ֑ךְ H1121 And he took וַיִּקָּחֵ֣הוּ H3947 him out of her bosom מֵֽחֵיקָ֗הּ H2436 and carried him up וַֽיַּעֲלֵ֙הוּ֙ H5927 אֶל H413 into a loft הָֽעֲלִיָּ֗ה H5944 אֲשֶׁר H834 הוּא֙ H1931 where he abode יֹשֵׁ֣ב H3427 שָׁ֔ם H8033 and laid וַיַּשְׁכִּבֵ֖הוּ H7901 עַל H5921 him upon his own bed מִטָּתֽוֹ׃ H4296 20 And he cried וַיִּקְרָ֥א H7121 אֶל H413 O LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 O LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 my God אֱלֹהָ֔י H430 הֲ֠גַם H1571 עַל H5921 upon the widow הָֽאַלְמָנָ֞ה H490 אֲשֶׁר H834 אֲנִ֨י H589 with whom I sojourn מִתְגּוֹרֵ֥ר H1481 עִמָּ֛הּ H5973 hast thou also brought evil הֲרֵע֖וֹתָ H7489 by slaying לְהָמִ֥ית H4191 אֶת H853 her son בְּנָֽהּ׃ H1121 21 And he stretched וַיִּתְמֹדֵ֤ד H4058 עַל H5921 I pray thee let this child's הַיֶּ֥לֶד H3206 three שָׁלֹ֣שׁ H7969 times פְּעָמִ֔ים H6471 and cried וַיִּקְרָ֥א H7121 אֶל H413 O LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 O LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 my God אֱלֹהָ֔י H430 again תָּ֥שָׁב H7725 נָ֛א H4994 soul נֶֽפֶשׁ H5315 I pray thee let this child's הַיֶּ֥לֶד H3206 הַזֶּ֖ה H2088 עַל H5921 into him קִרְבּֽוֹ׃ H7130 22 heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע H8085 And the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 the voice בְּק֣וֹל H6963 of Elijah אֵֽלִיָּ֑הוּ H452 again וַתָּ֧שָׁב H7725 and the soul נֶֽפֶשׁ H5315 of the child הַיֶּ֛לֶד H3206 עַל H5921 into him קִרְבּ֖וֹ H7130 and he revived וַיֶּֽחִי׃ H2421 23 took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 And Elijah אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ H452 אֶת H853 the child הַיֶּ֗לֶד H3206 and brought him down וַיֹּֽרִדֵ֤הוּ H3381 מִן H4480 out of the chamber הָֽעֲלִיָּה֙ H5944 into the house הַבַּ֔יְתָה H1004 and delivered וַֽיִּתְּנֵ֖הוּ H5414 him unto his mother לְאִמּ֑וֹ H517 said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 And Elijah אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ H452 See רְאִ֖י H7200 liveth חַ֥י H2416 thy son בְּנֵֽךְ׃ H1121 24 said וַתֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And the woman הָֽאִשָּׁה֙ H802 אֶל H413 to Elijah אֵ֣לִיָּ֔הוּ H452 עַתָּה֙ H6258 Now by this זֶ֣ה H2088 I know יָדַ֔עְתִּי H3045 כִּ֛י H3588 that thou art a man אִ֥ישׁ H376 of
