דָּוִ֣ד H1732 my father אָבִ֗י H1 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֤א H3808 could יָכֹל֙ H3201 not build לִבְנ֣וֹת H1129 an house בַּ֗יִת H1004 unto the ~ לְשֵׁם֙ H8034 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 his God אֱלֹהָ֔יו H430 for מִפְּנֵ֥י H6440 the wars הַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה H4421 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which were about him on every side סְבָבֻ֑הוּ H5437 עַ֤ד H5704 put תֵּת H5414 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 אֹתָ֔ם H853 תַּ֖חַת H8478 them build יִבְנֶ֥ה H1129 an house הַבַּ֖יִת H1004 unto my ~ לִשְׁמִֽי׃ H8034 as the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 my God אֱלֹהָ֑י H430 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר׀ H834 spake דִּבֶּ֣ר H1696 as the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 אֶל H413 unto David דָּוִ֤ד H1732 my father אָבִי֙ H1 And behold I purpose לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 Thy son בִּנְךָ֗ H1121 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 whom I will set אֶתֵּ֤ן H5414 תַּחְתֶּ֙יךָ֙ H8478 עַל H5921 upon thy throne כִּסְאֶ֔ךָ H3678 הֽוּא H1931 in thy room he shall build יִבְנֶ֥ה H1129 an house הַבַּ֖יִת H1004 unto my ~ לִשְׁמִֽי׃ H8034 6 וְעַתָּ֡ה H6258 Now therefore command צַוֵּה֩ H6680 thou that they hew לִכְרָת H3772 לִ֨י H0 me cedar trees אֲרָזִ֜ים H730 מִן H4480 out of Lebanon הַלְּבָנ֗וֹן H3844 and my servants עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ H5650 יִֽהְי֣וּ H1961 עִם H5973 and my servants עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ H5650 hire וּשְׂכַ֤ר H7939 and my servants עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ H5650 and unto thee will I give אֶתֵּ֣ן H5414 לְךָ֔ H0 כְּכֹ֖ל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 according to all that thou shalt appoint תֹּאמֵ֑ר H559 כִּ֣י׀ H3588 אַתָּ֣ה H859 for thou knowest יֹדֵ֥עַ H3045 כִּ֣י H3588 אֵ֥ין H369 בָּ֛נוּ H0 that there is not among us any אִ֛ישׁ H376 for thou knowest יֹדֵ֥עַ H3045 thou that they hew לִכְרָת H3772 timber עֵצִ֖ים H6086 like unto the Sidonians כַּצִּֽדֹנִֽים׃ H6722 7 וַיְהִ֞י H1961 heard כִּשְׁמֹ֧עַ H8085 And it came to pass when Hiram חִירָ֛ם H2438 אֶת H853 the words דִּבְרֵ֥י H1697 of Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה H8010 that he rejoiced וַיִּשְׂמַ֣ח H8055 greatly מְאֹ֑ד H3966 and said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 Blessed בָּר֤וּךְ H1288 be the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 this day הַיּ֔וֹם H3117 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 which hath given נָתַ֤ן H5414 unto David לְדָוִד֙ H1732 son בֵּ֣ן H1121 a wise חָכָ֔ם H2450 עַל H5921 people הָעָ֥ם H5971 over this great הָרָ֖ב H7227 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 8 sent שָׁלַ֖חְתָּ H7971 And Hiram חִירָם֙ H2438 אֶל H413 to Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה H8010 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 I have considered שָׁמַ֕עְתִּי H8085 אֵ֥ת H853 אֲשֶׁר H834 sent שָׁלַ֖חְתָּ H7971 אֵלָ֑י H413 אֲנִ֤י H589 to me for and I will do אֶֽעֱשֶׂה֙ H6213 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all thy desire חֶפְצְךָ֔ H2656 and concerning timber וּבַֽעֲצֵ֥י H6086 of cedar אֲרָזִ֖ים H730 and concerning timber וּבַֽעֲצֵ֥י H6086 of fir בְרוֹשִֽׁים׃ H1265 9 My servants עֲ֠בָדַי H5650 shall bring them down יֹרִ֨דוּ H3381 מִן H4480 from Lebanon הַלְּבָנ֜וֹן H3844 them by sea בַּיָּם֙ H3220 וַֽ֠אֲנִי H589 and I will convey אֲשִׂימֵ֨ם H7760 in floats דֹּֽבְר֤וֹת H1702 them by sea בַּיָּם֙ H3220 עַֽד H5704 unto the place הַמָּק֞וֹם H4725 אֲשֶׁר H834 that thou shalt appoint תִּשְׁלַ֥ח H7971 אֵלַ֛י H413 me and will cause them to be discharged וְנִפַּצְתִּ֥ים H5310 שָׁ֖ם H8033 וְאַתָּ֣ה H859 there and thou shalt receive תִשָּׂ֑א H5375 וְאַתָּה֙ H859 them and thou shalt accomplish תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֣ה H6213 אֶת H853 my desire חֶפְצִ֔י H2656 in giving לָתֵ֖ת H5414 food לֶ֥חֶם H3899 for my household בֵּיתִֽי׃ H1004 10 וַיְהִ֨י H1961 So Hiram חִיר֜וֹם H2438 gave נֹתֵ֣ן H5414 Solomon לִשְׁלֹמֹ֗ה H8010 trees וַֽעֲצֵ֥י H6086 cedar אֲרָזִ֛ים H730 trees וַֽעֲצֵ֥י H6086 and fir בְרוֹשִׁ֖ים H1265 כָּל H3605 according to all his desire חֶפְצֽוֹ׃ H2656 11 And Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה H8010 gave יִתֵּ֧ן H5414 Hiram לְחִירָ֖ם H2438 and twenty וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים H6242 thousand אֶ֨לֶף H505 measures כֹּ֖ר H3734 of wheat חִטִּים֙ H2406 for food מַכֹּ֣לֶת H4361 to his household לְבֵית֔וֹ H1004 and twenty וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים H6242 measures כֹּ֖ר H3734 oil שֶׁ֣מֶן H8081 of pure כָּתִ֑ית H3795 כֹּֽה H3541 gave יִתֵּ֧ן H5414 And Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה H8010 Hiram לְחִירָ֖ם H2438 by year בְשָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 by year בְשָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 12 And the LORD וַֽיהוָ֗ה H3068 gave נָתַ֤ן H5414 wisdom חָכְמָה֙ H2451 Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה H8010 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 as he promised דִּבֶּר H1696 ל֑וֹ H0 וַיְהִ֣י H1961 him and there was peace שָׁלֹ֗ם H7965 בֵּ֤ין H996 between Hiram חִירָם֙ H2438 וּבֵ֣ין H996 Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֔ה H8010 made וַיִּכְרְת֥וּ H3772 a league בְרִ֖ית H1285 and they two שְׁנֵיהֶֽם׃ H8147 13 raised וַיַּ֨עַל H5927 And king הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ H4428 Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה H8010 a levy הַמַּ֔ס H4522 מִכָּל H3605 out of all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 וַיְהִ֣י H1961 a levy הַמַּ֔ס H4522 was thirty שְׁלֹשִׁ֥ים H7970 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 men אִֽישׁ׃ H376 14 And he sent וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֣ם H7971 them to Lebanon בַלְּבָנ֔וֹן H3844 ten עֲשֶׂ֨רֶת H6235 thousand אֲלָפִ֤ים H505 a month חֳדָשִׁ֖ים H2320 by courses חֲלִיפ֔וֹת H2487 a month חֳדָשִׁ֖ים H2320 יִֽהְי֣וּ H1961 them to Lebanon בַלְּבָנ֔וֹן H3844 and two שְׁנַ֥יִם H8147 a month חֳדָשִׁ֖ים H2320 at home בְּבֵית֑וֹ H1004 and Adoniram וַאֲדֹֽנִירָ֖ם H141 עַל H5921 was over the levy הַמַּֽס׃ H4522 15 וַיְהִ֧י H1961 And Solomon לִשְׁלֹמֹ֛ה H8010 had threescore and ten שִׁבְעִ֥ים H7657 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 that bare נֹשֵׂ֣א H5375 burdens סַבָּ֑ל H5449 and fourscore וּשְׁמֹנִ֥ים H8084 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 hewers חֹצֵ֥ב H2672 in the mountains בָּהָֽר׃ H2022 16 לְ֠בַד H905 Beside the chief מִשָּׂרֵ֨י H8269 officers הַנִּצָּבִ֤ים H5324 of Solomon's לִשְׁלֹמֹה֙ H8010 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 עַל H5921 in the work בַּמְּלָאכָֽה׃ H4399 and three וּשְׁלֹ֣שׁ H7969 thousand אֲלָפִ֖ים H505 and three וּשְׁלֹ֣שׁ H7969 hundred מֵא֑וֹת H3967 which ruled הָֽרֹדִ֣ים H7287 over the people בָּעָ֔ם H5971 that wrought הָֽעֹשִׂ֖ים H6213 in the work בַּמְּלָאכָֽה׃ H4399 17 commanded וַיְצַ֣ו H6680 And the king הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ H4428 and they brought וַיַּסִּעוּ֩ H5265 stones אַבְנֵ֥י H68 great גְּדֹל֜וֹת H1419 stones אַבְנֵ֥י H68 costly יְקָר֛וֹת H3368 to lay the foundation לְיַסֵּ֥ד H3245 of the house הַבָּ֖יִת H1004 stones אַבְנֵ֥י H68 and hewed גָזִֽית׃ H1496 18 did hew וַֽיִּפְסְל֞וּ H6458 builders לִבְנ֥וֹת H1129 And Solomon's שְׁלֹמֹ֛ה H8010 builders לִבְנ֥וֹת H1129 and Hiram's חִיר֖וֹם H2438 them and the stonesquarers וְהַגִּבְלִ֑ים H1382 so they prepared וַיָּכִ֛ינוּ H3559 timber הָֽעֵצִ֥ים H6086 and stones וְהָֽאֲבָנִ֖ים H68 builders לִבְנ֥וֹת
