were scattered וַיָּ֥פֶץ H6327 and the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 מֵֽעָלָֽיו׃ H5921 9 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 Bring hither הַגִּ֣שׁוּ H5066 אֵלַ֔י H413 a burnt offering הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ H5930 to me and peace offerings וְהַשְּׁלָמִ֑ים H8002 And he offered וַיַּ֖עַל H5927 a burnt offering הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ H5930 10 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 And it came to pass that as soon as he had made an end כְּכַלֹּתוֹ֙ H7586 כִּֽי H3588 Because I saw רָאִיתִי֩ H7200 כִֽי H3588 were scattered נָפַ֨ץ H5310 that the people הָעָ֜ם H5971 מֵֽעָלַ֗י H5921 וְאַתָּה֙ H859 לֹֽא H3808 from me and that thou camest בָ֙אתָ֙ H935 appointed לְמוֹעֵ֣ד H4150 not within the days הַיָּמִ֔ים H3117 and that the Philistines וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים H6430 gathered themselves together נֶֽאֱסָפִ֥ים H622 at Michmash מִכְמָֽשׂ׃ H4363 12 Therefore said וָֽאֹמַ֗ר H559 עַ֠תָּה H6258 will come down יֵֽרְד֨וּ H3381 I The Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֤ים H6430 אֵלַי֙ H413 now upon me to Gilgal הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל H1537 unto וּפְנֵ֥י H6440 the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 לֹ֣א H3808 and I have not made supplication חִלִּ֑יתִי H2470 I forced וָֽאֶתְאַפַּ֔ק H662 myself therefore and offered וָאַֽעֲלֶ֖ה H5927 a burnt offering הָֽעֹלָֽה׃ H5930 13 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֛ל H8050 אֶל H413 to Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 Thou hast done foolishly נִסְכָּ֑לְתָּ H5528 לֹ֣א H3808 thou hast not kept שָׁמַ֗רְתָּ H8104 אֶת H853 the commandment מִצְוַ֞ת H4687 of the LORD spoilers הַמַּשְׁחִ֛ית H7843 of the camp מִמַּֽחֲנֵ֥ה H4264 of the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים H6430 in three שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה H7969 companies הָרֹ֨אשׁ H7218 companies הָרֹ֨אשׁ H7218 one אֶחָ֥ד H259 turned יַֽעֲשׂ֣וּ H6213 Lest the Hebrews הָֽעִבְרִ֔ים H5680 them swords חֶ֖רֶב H2719 א֥וֹ H176 or spears חֲנִֽית׃ H2595 20 went down וַיֵּֽרְד֥וּ H3381 כָל H3605 But all the Israelites יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 to the Philistines הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים H6430 to sharpen לִ֠לְטוֹשׁ H3913 every man אִ֣ישׁ H376 אֶת H853 his share מַֽחֲרַשְׁתּ֤וֹ H4282 וְאֶת H853 and his coulter אֵתוֹ֙ H855 וְאֶת H853 and his axe קַרְדֻּמּ֔וֹ H7134 וְאֵ֖ת H853 and his mattock מַחֲרֵֽשָׁתֽוֹ׃ H4281 21 וְֽהָיְתָ֞ה H1961 Yet they had a file הַפְּצִ֣ירָה H6477 פִ֗ים H6310 for the mattocks לַמַּֽחֲרֵשֹׁת֙ H4281 and for the coulters וְלָ֣אֵתִ֔ים H855 and for the forks וְלִשְׁלֹ֥שׁ H7969 קִלְּשׁ֖וֹן H7053 and for the axes וּלְהַקַּרְדֻּמִּ֑ים H7134 and to sharpen וּלְהַצִּ֖יב H5324 the goads הַדָּרְבָֽן׃ H1861 22 וְהָיָה֙ H1961 So it came to pass in the day בְּי֣וֹם H3117 of battle מִלְחֶ֔מֶת H4421 וְלֹ֨א H3808 found וַתִּמָּצֵ֣א H4672 that there was neither sword חֶ֤רֶב H2719 nor spear וַֽחֲנִית֙ H2595 in the hand בְּיַ֣ד H3027 כָּל H3605 of any of the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 אֶת H854 but with Saul לְשָׁא֔וּל H7586 וְאֶת H853 and Jonathan וּלְיֽוֹנָתָ֖ן H3129 found וַתִּמָּצֵ֣א H4672 but with Saul לְשָׁא֔וּל
