will discover וְנִגְלִ֖ינוּ H1540 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 9 אִם H518 כֹּ֤ה H3541 If they say יֹֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 אֵלֵ֔ינוּ H413 thus unto us Tarry דֹּ֕מּוּ H1826 עַד H5704 until we come הַגִּיעֵ֖נוּ H5060 H1697 and said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Jonathan יֽוֹנָתָ֜ן H3129 אֶל H413 and his armourbearer נֹשֵׂ֤א H5375 כֵלָיו֙ H3627 Come up עֲלֵ֣ה H5927 after אַֽחֲרַ֔י H310 כִּֽי H3588 hath delivered נְתָנָ֥ם H5414 me for the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 them into the hand בְּיַ֥ד H3027 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 13 climbed up וַיַּ֣עַל H5927 And Jonathan יֽוֹנָתָ֔ן H3129 עַל H5921 upon his hands יָדָיו֙ H3027 וְעַל H5921 and upon his feet רַגְלָ֔יו H7272 and his armourbearer וְנֹשֵׂ֥א H5375 כֵלָ֖יו H3627 after אַֽחֲרָֽיו׃ H310 him and they fell וַֽיִּפְּלוּ֙ H5307 before לִפְנֵ֣י H6440 And Jonathan יֽוֹנָתָ֔ן H3129 and his armourbearer וְנֹשֵׂ֥א H5375 כֵלָ֖יו H3627 slew מְמוֹתֵ֥ת H4191 after אַֽחֲרָֽיו׃ H310 14 וַתְּהִ֞י H1961 slaughter הַמַּכָּ֣ה H4347 And that first הָרִֽאשֹׁנָ֗ה H7223 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 made הִכָּ֧ה H5221 which Jonathan יֽוֹנָתָ֛ן H3129 and his armourbearer וְנֹשֵׂ֥א H5375 כֵלָ֖יו H3627 was about twenty כְּעֶשְׂרִ֣ים H6242 men אִ֑ישׁ H376 within as it were an half כְּבַֽחֲצִ֥י H2677 acre מַֽעֲנָ֖ה H4618 which a yoke צֶ֥מֶד H6776 of land שָׂדֶֽה׃ H7704 15 וַתְּהִי֩ H1961 And there was trembling לְחֶרְדַּ֥ת H2731 in the host בַמַּֽחֲנֶ֤ה H4264 in the field בַשָּׂדֶה֙ H7704 וּבְכָל H3605 and among all the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 the garrison הַמַּצָּב֙ H4673 and the spoilers וְהַמַּשְׁחִ֔ית H7843 they also trembled חָֽרְד֖וּ H2729 גַּם H1571 הֵ֑מָּה H1992 quaked וַתִּרְגַּ֣ז H7264 and the earth הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 וַתְּהִ֖י H1961 And there was trembling לְחֶרְדַּ֥ת H2731 so it was a very great אֱלֹהִֽים׃ H430 16 looked וַיִּרְא֤וּ H7200 And the watchmen הַצֹּפִים֙ H6822 of Saul לְשָׁא֔וּל H7586 in Gibeah בְּגִבְעַ֖ת H1390 of Benjamin בִּנְיָמִ֑ן H1144 וְהִנֵּ֧ה H2009 and behold the multitude הֶֽהָמ֛וֹן H1995 melted away נָמ֖וֹג H4127 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 on beating down וַֽהֲלֹֽם׃ H1986 17 Then said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 unto the people לָעָם֙ H5971 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 אִתּ֔וֹ H854 from us And when they had numbered וַֽיִּפְקְד֔וּ H6485 נָ֣א H4994 now and see וּרְא֔וּ H7200 מִ֖י H4310 who is gone הָלַ֣ךְ H1980 מֵֽעִמָּ֑נוּ H5973 from us And when they had numbered וַֽיִּפְקְד֔וּ H6485 וְהִנֵּ֛ה H2009 אֵ֥ין H369 behold Jonathan יֽוֹנָתָ֖ן H3129 and his armourbearer וְנֹשֵׂ֥א H5375 כֵלָֽיו׃ H3627 18 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And Saul שָׁאוּל֙ H7586 unto Ahiah לַֽאֲחִיָּ֔ה H281 Bring hither הַגִּ֖ישָׁה H5066 For the ark אֲר֧וֹן H727 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 כִּֽי H3588 הָיָ֞ה H1961 For the ark אֲר֧וֹן H727 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 was at that time בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַה֖וּא H1931 with the children וּבְנֵ֥י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 19 וַיְהִ֗י H1961 עַ֣ד H5704 talked דִּבֶּ֤ר H1696 And it came to pass while Saul שָׁא֛וּל H7586 אֶל H413 unto the priest הַכֹּהֵ֖ן H3548 that the noise וְהֶֽהָמ֗וֹן H1995 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 that was in the host בְּמַֽחֲנֵ֣ה H4264 of the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֔ים H6430 went וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H3212 on הָל֖וֹךְ H1980 and increased וָרָ֑ב H7227 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 And it came to pass while Saul שָׁא֛וּל H7586 אֶל H413 unto the priest הַכֹּהֵ֖ן H3548 Withdraw אֱסֹ֥ף H622 thine hand יָדֶֽךָ׃ H3027 20 that were with him assembled וַיִּזָּעֵ֣ק H2199 And Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 וְכָל H3605 and all the people הָעָם֙ H5971 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 אִתּ֔וֹ H854 themselves and they came וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ H935 עַד H5704 to the battle הַמִּלְחָמָ֑ה H4421 וְהִנֵּ֨ה H2009 הָֽיְתָ֜ה H1961 sword חֶ֤רֶב H2719 and behold every man's אִישׁ֙ H376 was against his fellow בְּרֵעֵ֔הוּ H7453 discomfiture מְהוּמָ֖ה H4103 great גְּדוֹלָ֥ה H1419 and there was a very מְאֹֽד׃ H3966 21 Moreover the Hebrews וְהָֽעִבְרִ֗ים H5680 הָי֤וּ H1961 that were with the Philistines לַפְּלִשְׁתִּים֙ H6430 before כְּאֶתְמ֣וֹל H865 that time שִׁלְשׁ֔וֹם H8032 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 which went up עָל֥וּ H5927 עִמָּ֛ם H5973 with them into the camp בַּֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה H4264 from the country round about סָבִ֑יב H5439 וְגַם H1571 הֵ֗מָּה H1992 לִֽהְיוֹת֙ H1961 עִם H5973 even they also turned to be with the Israelites יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 עִם H5973 that were with Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 and Jonathan וְיֽוֹנָתָֽן׃ H3129 22 וְכֹל֩ H3605 Likewise all the men אִ֨ישׁ H376 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל H3478 which had hid הַמִּֽתְחַבְּאִ֤ים H2244 themselves in mount בְּהַר H2022 Ephraim אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ H669 when they heard שָֽׁמְע֔וּ H8085 כִּי H3588 fled נָ֖סוּ H5127 that the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים H6430 even they also followed hard וַֽיַּדְבְּק֥וּ H1692 גַם H1571 הֵ֛מָּה H1992 after אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם H310 them in the battle בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ H4421 23 saved וַיּ֧וֹשַׁע H3467 So the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 that day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַה֖וּא H1931 אֶת H853 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 and the battle וְהַ֨מִּלְחָמָ֔ה H4421 passed over עָֽבְרָ֖ה H5674 אֶת H853 בֵּ֥ית H0 unto Bethaven אָֽוֶן׃ H1007 24 And the men הָ֠אִישׁ H376 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֥ל H3478 were distressed נִגַּ֖שׂ H5065 that day בַּיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַה֑וּא H1931 had adjured וַיֹּאֶל֩ H422 for Saul שָׁא֨וּל H7586 אֶת H853 So none of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 saying לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 Cursed אָר֣וּר H779 And the men הָ֠אִישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 that eateth יֹ֨אכַל H398 any food לָֽחֶם׃ H3899 עַד H5704 until evening הָעֶ֗רֶב H6153 that I may be avenged וְנִקַּמְתִּי֙ H5358 on mine enemies מֵאֹ֣יְבַ֔י H341 וְלֹֽא H3808 tasted טָעַ֥ם H2938 כָּל H3605 So none of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 any food לָֽחֶם׃ H3899 25 וְכָל H3605 And all they of the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 came בָּ֣אוּ H935 to a wood בַיָּ֑עַר H3293 וַיְהִ֥י H1961 and there was honey דְבַ֖שׁ H1706 עַל H5921 upon פְּנֵ֥י H6440 the ground הַשָּׂדֶֽה׃ H7704 26 were come וַיָּבֹ֤א H935 And when the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 אֶל H413 into the wood הַיַּ֔עַר H3293 וְהִנֵּ֖ה H2009 dropped הֵ֣לֶךְ H1982 behold the honey דְּבָ֑שׁ H1706 וְאֵין H369 but no man put מַשִּׂ֤יג H5381 his hand יָדוֹ֙ H3027 אֶל H413 to his mouth פִּ֔יו H6310 כִּֽי H3588 feared יָרֵ֥א H3372 And when the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 אֶת H853 the oath הַשְּׁבֻעָֽה׃ H7621 27 But Jonathan וְיֽוֹנָתָ֣ן H3129 לֹֽא H3808 heard שָׁמַ֗ע H8085 charged בְּהַשְׁבִּ֣יעַ H7650 not when his father אָבִיו֮ H1 אֶת H853 the people הָעָם֒ H5971 wherefore he put forth וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח H7971 אֶת H853 the end קְצֵ֤ה H7097 of the rod הַמַּטֶּה֙ H4294 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 his hand יָדוֹ֙ H3027 and dipped וַיִּטְבֹּ֥ל H2881 אוֹתָ֖הּ H853 it in an honeycomb בְּיַעְרַ֣ת H3295 הַדְּבָ֑שׁ H1706 and put וַיָּ֤שֶׁב H7725 his hand יָדוֹ֙ H3027 אֶל H413 to his mouth פִּ֔יו H6310 were enlightened וַתָּרֹ֖אְנָה H215 and his eyes עֵינָֽיו׃ H5869 28 Then answered וַיַּעַן֩ H6030 be the man הָאִ֛ישׁ H376 And the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 and said לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 charged הִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ H7650 charged הִשְׁבִּ֨יעַ H7650 Thy father אָבִ֤יךָ H1 אֶת H853 And the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 and said לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 Cursed אָר֥וּר H779 be the man הָאִ֛ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 that eateth יֹ֥אכַל H398 any food לֶ֖חֶם H3899 this day הַיּ֑וֹם H3117 were faint וַיָּ֖עַף H5774 And the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 29 Then said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 Jonathan יֽוֹנָתָ֔ן H3129 hath troubled עָכַ֥ר H5916 My father אָבִ֖י H1 אֶת H853 the land הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 see רְאוּ H7200 נָא֙ H4994 כִּי H3588 have been enlightened אֹ֣רוּ H215 I pray you how mine eyes עֵינַ֔י H5869 כִּ֣י H3588 because I tasted טָעַ֔מְתִּי H2938 a little מְעַ֖ט H4592 of this honey דְּבַ֥שׁ H1706 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 30 How much more אַ֗ף H637 כִּ֡י H3588 if haply לוּא֩ H3863 freely אָכַ֤ל H398 freely אָכַ֤ל H398 to day הַיּוֹם֙ H3117 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 of the spoil מִשְּׁלַ֥ל H7998 of their enemies אֹֽיְבָ֖יו H341 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which they found מָצָ֑א H4672 כִּ֥י H3588 עַתָּ֛ה H6258 לֹֽא H3808 for had there not been now a much greater רָבְתָ֥ה H7235 slaughter מַכָּ֖ה H4347 among the Philistines בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ H6430 31 And they smote וַיַּכּ֞וּ H5221 that day בַּיּ֤וֹם H3117 הַהוּא֙ H1931 the Philistines בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים H6430 from Michmash מִמִּכְמָ֖שׂ H4363 to Aijalon אַיָּלֹ֑נָה H357 faint וַיָּ֥עַף H5774 and the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 were very מְאֹֽד׃ H3966 32 וַיַּ֤עַשׂ H6213 And the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 אֶל H413 upon the spoil שָׁלָ֔ל H7998 and took וַיִּקְח֨וּ H3947 sheep צֹ֧אן H6629 and oxen בָקָ֖ר H1241 and calves וּבְנֵ֥י H1121 and oxen בָקָ֖ר H1241 and slew וַיִּשְׁחֲטוּ H7819 them on the ground אָ֑רְצָה H776 did eat וַיֹּ֥אכַל H398 And the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 עַל H5921 them with the blood הַדָּֽם׃ H1818 33 Then they told וַיַּגִּ֤ידוּ H5046 Saul לְשָׁאוּל֙ H7586 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 הִנֵּ֥ה H2009 Behold the people הָעָ֛ם H5971 sin חֹטִ֥אים H2398 against the LORD לַֽיהוָ֖ה H3068 in that they eat לֶֽאֱכֹ֣ל H398 עַל H5921 with the blood הַדָּ֑ם H1818 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Ye have transgressed בְּגַדְתֶּ֔ם H898 roll גֹּלּוּ H1556 אֵלַ֥י H413 unto me this day הַיּ֖וֹם H3117 stone אֶ֥בֶן H68 a great גְּדוֹלָֽה׃ H1419 34 and say וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֣ם H559 And Saul שָׁא֣וּל H7586 Disperse פֻּ֣צוּ H6327 And all the people הָעָ֜ם H5971 and say וַֽאֲמַרְתֶּ֣ם
