שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 11 It repenteth נִחַ֗מְתִּי H5162 כִּֽי H3588 me that I have set up הִמְלַ֤כְתִּי H4427 אֶת H853 Saul שָׁאוּל֙ H7586 to be king לְמֶ֔לֶךְ H4428 כִּי H3588 for he is turned back שָׁב֙ H7725 from following מֵאַֽחֲרַ֔י H310 וְאֶת H853 my commandments דְּבָרַ֖י H1697 לֹ֣א H3808 me and hath not performed הֵקִ֑ים H6965 And it grieved וַיִּ֙חַר֙ H2734 Samuel לִשְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 and he cried וַיִּזְעַ֥ק H2199 אֶל H413 unto the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 כָּל H3605 all night הַלָּֽיְלָה׃ H3915 12 rose early וַיַּשְׁכֵּ֧ם H7925 And when Samuel לִשְׁמוּאֵ֜ל H8050 to meet לִקְרַ֥את H7125 Saul שָׁא֤וּל H7586 in the morning בַּבֹּ֑קֶר H1242 it was told וַיֻּגַּ֨ד H5046 And when Samuel לִשְׁמוּאֵ֜ל H8050 saying לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 came בָּֽא H935 Saul שָׁא֤וּל H7586 to Carmel הַכַּרְמֶ֙לָה֙ H3760 וְהִנֵּ֨ה H2009 and behold he set him up מַצִּ֥יב H5324 לוֹ֙ H0 a place יָ֔ד H3027 and is gone about וַיִּסֹּב֙ H5437 and passed on וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֔ר H5674 and gone down וַיֵּ֖רֶד H3381 to Gilgal הַגִּלְגָּֽל׃ H1537 13 came וַיָּבֹ֥א H935 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 אֶל H413 and Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 ל֣וֹ H0 and Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 unto him Blessed בָּר֤וּךְ H1288 אַתָּה֙ H859 be thou of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 I have performed הֲקִימֹ֖תִי H6965 אֶת H853 the commandment דְּבַ֥ר H1697 be thou of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 14 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 וּמֶ֛ה H4100 What meaneth then this bleating וְק֣וֹל H6963 of the sheep הַצֹּ֥אן H6629 הַזֶּ֖ה H2088 in mine ears בְּאָזְנָ֑י H241 What meaneth then this bleating וְק֣וֹל H6963 of the oxen הַבָּקָ֔ר H1241 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 אָֽנֹכִ֖י H595 which I hear שֹׁמֵֽעַ׃ H8085 15 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Saul שָׁא֜וּל H7586 them from the Amalekites מֵעֲמָֽלֵקִ֣י H6003 They have brought הֱבִיא֗וּם H935 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 spared חָמַ֤ל H2550 for the people הָעָם֙ H5971 עַל H5921 the best מֵיטַ֤ב H4315 of the sheep הַצֹּאן֙ H6629 and of the oxen וְהַבָּקָ֔ר H1241 לְמַ֥עַן H4616 to sacrifice זְבֹ֖חַ H2076 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֣ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ H430 וְאֶת H853 and the rest הַיּוֹתֵ֖ר H3498 we have utterly destroyed הֶֽחֱרַֽמְנוּ׃ H2763 16 And he said וַיֹּ֥אמֶרוּ H559 Then Samuel שְׁמוּאֵל֙ H8050 אֶל H413 unto Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 Stay הֶ֚רֶף H7503 and I will tell וְאַגִּ֣ידָה H5046 לְּךָ֔ H0 אֵת֩ H853 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 hath said דַּבֵּֽר׃ H1696 thee what the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 אֵלַ֖י H413 to me this night הַלָּ֑יְלָה H3915 And he said וַיֹּ֥אמֶרוּ H559 ל֖וֹ H0 hath said דַּבֵּֽר׃ H1696 17 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 הֲל֗וֹא H3808 אִם H518 When thou wast little קָטֹ֤ן H6996 אַתָּה֙ H859 in thine own sight בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ H5869 wast thou not made the head רֹ֛אשׁ H7218 of the tribes שִׁבְטֵ֥י H7626 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 אָ֑תָּה H859 anointed וַיִּמְשָֽׁחֲךָ֧ H4886 and the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 thee king לְמֶ֖לֶךְ H4428 עַל H5921 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 18 sent וַיִּשְׁלָֽחֲךָ֥ H7971 And the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 thee on a journey בְּדָ֑רֶךְ H1870 and said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 לֵ֣ךְ H1980 and utterly destroy וְהַֽחֲרַמְתָּ֞ה H2763 אֶת H853 the sinners הַֽחַטָּאִים֙ H2400 אֶת H853 the Amalekites עֲמָלֵ֔ק H6002 and fight וְנִלְחַמְתָּ֣ H3898 ב֔וֹ H0 עַ֥ד H5704 against them until they be consumed כַּלּוֹתָ֖ם H3615 אֹתָֽם׃ H853 19 וְלָ֥מָּה H4100 לֹֽא H3808 Wherefore then didst thou not obey שָׁמַ֖עְתָּ H8085 the voice בְּק֣וֹל H6963 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 but didst fly וַתַּ֙עַט֙ H5860 אֶל H413 upon the spoil הַשָּׁלָ֔ל H7998 and didst וַתַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 evil הָרַ֖ע H7451 in the sight בְּעֵינֵ֥י H5869 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 20 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Saul שָׁא֜וּל H7586 אֶל H413 unto Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל H8050 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 Yea I have obeyed שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ H8085 the voice בְּק֣וֹל H6963 of the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 וָֽאֵלֵ֕ךְ H1980 the way בַּדֶּ֖רֶךְ H1870 אֲשֶׁר H834 sent שְׁלָחַ֣נִי H7971 of the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 me and have brought וָֽאָבִ֗יא H935 אֶת H853 Agag אֲגַג֙ H90 the king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Amalek עֲמָלֵ֖ק H6002 וְאֶת H853 of Amalek עֲמָלֵ֖ק H6002 and have utterly destroyed הֶֽחֱרַֽמְתִּי׃ H2763 21 took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 But the people הָעָ֧ם H5971 of the spoil מֵֽהַשָּׁלָ֛ל H7998 sheep צֹ֥אן H6629 and oxen וּבָקָ֖ר H1241 the chief רֵאשִׁ֣ית H7225 of the things which should have been utterly destroyed הַחֵ֑רֶם H2764 to sacrifice לִזְבֹּ֛חַ H2076 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֥ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ H430 in Gilgal בַּגִּלְגָּֽל׃ H1537 22 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל H8050 as great delight הַחֵ֤פֶץ H2656 Hath the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 in burnt offerings בְּעֹל֣וֹת H5930 and sacrifices מִזֶּ֣בַח H2077 Behold to obey שְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ H8085 the voice בְּק֣וֹל H6963 Hath the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 Behold to obey שְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ H8085 and sacrifices מִזֶּ֣בַח H2077 is better ט֔וֹב H2896 and to hearken לְהַקְשִׁ֖יב H7181 than the fat מֵחֵ֥לֶב H2459 of rams אֵילִֽים׃ H352 23 כִּ֤י H3588 is as the sin חַטַּאת H2403 of witchcraft קֶ֙סֶם֙ H7081 For rebellion מֶ֔רִי H4805 is as iniquity וְאָ֥וֶן H205 and idolatry וּתְרָפִ֖ים H8655 and stubbornness הַפְצַ֑ר H6484 יַ֗עַן H3282 Because thou hast rejected וַיִּמְאָֽסְךָ֖ H3988 אֶת H853 the word דְּבַ֣ר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 Because thou hast rejected וַיִּמְאָֽסְךָ֖ H3988 thee from being king מִמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 24 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Saul שָׁא֤וּל H7586 אֶל H413 unto Samuel שְׁמוּאֵל֙ H8050 I have sinned חָטָ֔אתִי H2398 כִּֽי H3588 for I have transgressed עָבַ֥רְתִּי H5674 אֶת H853 the commandment פִּֽי H6310 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 וְאֶת H853 and thy words דְּבָרֶ֑יךָ H1697 כִּ֤י H3588 because I feared יָרֵ֙אתִי֙ H3372 אֶת H853 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 and obeyed וָֽאֶשְׁמַ֖ע H8085 their voice בְּקוֹלָֽם׃ H6963 25 וְעַתָּ֕ה H6258 Now therefore I pray thee pardon שָׂ֥א H5375 נָ֖א H4994 אֶת H853 my sin חַטָּאתִ֑י H2403 and turn again וְשׁ֣וּב H7725 עִמִּ֔י H5973 with me that I may worship וְאֶֽשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֖ה H7812 the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 26 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵל֙ H8050 אֶל H413 unto Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 לֹ֥א H3808 I will not return אָשׁ֖וּב H7725 עִמָּ֑ךְ H5973 כִּ֤י H3588 hath rejected וַיִּמְאָֽסְךָ֣ H3988 אֶת H853 the word דְּבַ֣ר H1697 and the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 hath rejected וַיִּמְאָֽסְךָ֣ H3988 and the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 מִֽהְי֥וֹת H1961 thee from being king מֶ֖לֶךְ H4428 עַל H5921 over Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 27 turned about וַיִּסֹּ֥ב H5437 And as Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 לָלֶ֑כֶת H1980 he laid hold וַיַּֽחֲזֵ֥ק H2388 upon the skirt בִּכְנַף H3671 of his mantle מְעִיל֖וֹ H4598 and it rent וַיִּקָּרַֽע׃ H7167 28 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 אֵלָיו֙ H413 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 hath rent קָרַ֨ע H7167 unto him The LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 אֶֽת H853 the kingdom מַמְלְכ֧וּת H4468 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל H3478 מֵֽעָלֶ֖יךָ H5921 from thee this day הַיּ֑וֹם H3117 and hath given וּנְתָנָ֕הּ H5414 it to a neighbour לְרֵֽעֲךָ֖ H7453 of thine that is better הַטּ֥וֹב H2896 מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ H4480 29 וְגַם֙ H1571 And also the Strength נֵ֣צַח H5331 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 לֹ֥א H3808 will not lie יְשַׁקֵּ֖ר H8266 וְלֹ֣א H3808 nor repent לְהִנָּחֵֽם׃ H5162 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֥א H3808 for he is not a man אָדָ֛ם H120 ה֖וּא H1931 nor repent לְהִנָּחֵֽם׃ H5162 30 Then he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 I have sinned חָטָ֔אתִי H2398 עַתָּ֗ה H6258 yet honour כַּבְּדֵ֥נִי H3513 נָ֛א H4994 נֶ֥גֶד H5048 me now I pray thee before the elders זִקְנֵֽי H2205 of my people עַמִּ֖י H5971 וְנֶ֣גֶד H5048 and before Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 and turn again וְשׁ֣וּב H7725 עִמִּ֔י H5973 with me that I may worship וְהִֽשְׁתַּחֲוֵ֖יתִי H7812 the LORD לַֽיהוָ֥ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶֽיךָ׃ H430 31 turned again וַיָּ֥שָׁב H7725 So Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 after אַֽחֲרֵ֣י H310 Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 worshipped וַיִּשְׁתַּ֥חוּ H7812 Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 32 Then said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל H8050 Bring ye hither הַגִּ֤ישׁוּ H5066 אֵלַי֙ H413 אֶת H853 And Agag אֲגָ֔ג H90 the king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of the Amalekites עֲמָלֵ֔ק H6002 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ H1980 אֵלָ֔יו H413 And Agag אֲגָ֔ג H90 unto him delicately מַֽעֲדַנֹּ֑ת H4574 Then said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Agag אֲגָ֔ג H90 Surely אָכֵ֖ן H403 is past סָ֥ר H5493 the bitterness מַר H4751 of death הַמָּֽוֶת׃ H4194 33 בַּגִּלְגָּֽל׃ H1537 34 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 Then Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 to Ramah הָֽרָמָ֑תָה H7414 and Saul שָׁאֽוּל׃ H7586 went up עָלָ֥ה H5927 אֶל H413 to his house בֵּית֖וֹ H1004 to Gibeah גִּבְעַ֥ת
