slew וַיַּ֤ךְ H5221 בָּהֶם֙ H0 slaughter מַכָּ֣ה H4347 them with a great גְדוֹלָ֔ה H1419 and they fled וַיָּנֻ֖סוּ H5127 from מִפָּנָֽיו׃ H6440 9 וַתְּהִי֩ H1961 spirit ר֨וּחַ H7307 from the LORD יְהוָ֤ה׀ H3068 And the evil רָעָה֙ H7451 אֶל H413 was upon Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 וְהוּא֙ H1931 in his house בְּבֵית֣וֹ H1004 as he sat יוֹשֵׁ֔ב H3427 with his javelin וַֽחֲנִית֖וֹ H2595 in his hand בְּיָֽד׃ H3027 and David וְדָוִ֖ד H1732 played מְנַגֵּ֥ן H5059 in his hand בְּיָֽד׃ H3027 10 sought וַיְבַקֵּ֨שׁ H1245 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 and he smote וַיַּ֥ךְ H5221 the javelin הַחֲנִ֖ית H2595 David וְדָוִ֛ד H1732 even to the wall בַּקִּ֑יר H7023 but he slipped away וַיִּפְטַר֙ H6362 presence מִפְּנֵ֣י H6440 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 and he smote וַיַּ֥ךְ H5221 אֶֽת H853 the javelin הַחֲנִ֖ית H2595 even to the wall בַּקִּ֑יר H7023 David וְדָוִ֛ד H1732 fled נָ֥ס H5127 and escaped וַיִּמָּלֵ֖ט H4422 that night בַּלַּ֥יְלָה H3915 הֽוּא׃ H1931 11 also sent וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ H7971 Saul שָׁא֨וּל H7586 messengers מַלְאָכִ֜ים H4397 אֶל H413 house בֵּ֤ית H1004 David's לְדָוִ֗ד H1732 to watch לְשָׁמְר֔וֹ H8104 him and to slay מוּמָֽת׃ H4191 him in the morning בַּבֹּ֑קֶר H1242 told וַתַּגֵּ֣ד H5046 David's לְדָוִ֗ד H1732 and Michal מִיכַ֤ל H4324 wife אִשְׁתּוֹ֙ H802 him saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 אִם H518 אֵ֨ינְךָ֜ H369 If thou save מְמַלֵּ֤ט H4422 אֶֽת H853 not thy life נַפְשְׁךָ֙ H5315 to night הַלַּ֔יְלָה H3915 to morrow מָחָ֖ר H4279 אַתָּ֥ה H859 him and to slay מוּמָֽת׃ H4191 12 down וַתֹּ֧רֶד H3381 So Michal מִיכַ֛ל H4324 אֶת H853 David דָּוִ֖ד H1732 בְּעַ֣ד H1157 through a window הַֽחַלּ֑וֹן H2474 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 and fled וַיִּבְרַ֖ח H1272 and escaped וַיִּמָּלֵֽט׃ H4422 13 took וַתִּקַּ֨ח H3947 And Michal מִיכַ֜ל H4324 אֶת H853 an image הַתְּרָפִ֗ים H8655 and laid שָׂ֖מָה H7760 אֶל H413 it in the bed הַמִּטָּ֔ה H4296 וְאֵת֙ H853 a pillow כְּבִ֣יר H3523 of goats הָֽעִזִּ֔ים H5795 and laid שָׂ֖מָה H7760 hair for his bolster מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָ֑יו H4763 and covered וַתְּכַ֖ס H3680 it with a cloth בַּבָּֽגֶד׃ H899 14 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח H7971 And when Saul שָׁא֛וּל H7586 messengers מַלְאָכִ֖ים H4397 to take לָקַ֣חַת H3947 אֶת H853 David דָּוִ֑ד H1732 she said וַתֹּ֖אמֶר H559 He is sick חֹלֶ֥ה H2470 הֽוּא׃ H1931 15 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח H7971 And Saul שָׁאוּל֙ H7586 אֶת H853 the messengers הַמַּלְאָכִ֔ים H4397 again to see לִרְא֥וֹת H7200 אֶת H853 David דָּוִ֖ד H1732 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 Bring him up הַֽעֲל֨וּ H5927 אֹת֧וֹ H853 to me in the bed בַמִּטָּ֛ה H4296 אֵלַ֖י H413 that I may slay לַֽהֲמִתֽוֹ׃ H4191 16 were come in וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ H935 And when the messengers הַמַּלְאָכִ֔ים H4397 וְהִנֵּ֥ה H2009 behold there was an image הַתְּרָפִ֖ים H8655 אֶל H413 in the bed הַמִּטָּ֑ה H4296 with a pillow וּכְבִ֥יר H3523 of goats הָֽעִזִּ֖ים H5795 hair for his bolster מְרַֽאֲשֹׁתָֽיו׃ H4763 17 He said אָמַ֥ר H559 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 אֶל H413 And Michal מִיכַל֙ H4324 לָ֤מָּה H4100 כָּ֙כָה֙ H3602 Why hast thou deceived me so רִמִּיתִ֔נִי H7411 and sent away שַׁלְּחִ֖נִי H7971 אֶת H853 mine enemy אֹֽיְבִ֖י H341 that he is escaped וַיִּמָּלֵ֑ט H4422 He said אָמַ֥ר H559 And Michal מִיכַל֙ H4324 אֶל H413 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 הוּא H1931 He said אָמַ֥ר H559 H413 to Samuel וּשְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 to Ramah הָֽרָמָ֔תָה H7414 and told וַיַּ֨גֶּד H5046 ל֔וֹ H0 אֵ֛ת H853 כָּל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 had done עָֽשָׂה H6213 ל֖וֹ H0 him all that Saul שָׁא֑וּל H7586 וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ H1980 הוּא֙ H1931 to Samuel וּשְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 and dwelt וַיֵּֽשְׁב֖וּ H3427 in Naioth בְּנָוֹיֽת׃ H5121 19 And it was told וַיֻּגַּ֥ד H5046 Saul לְשָׁא֖וּל H7586 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 הִנֵּ֣ה H2009 Behold David דָוִ֔ד H1732 is at Naioth בְּנָוֹי֖ת H5121 in Ramah בָּֽרָמָֽה׃ H7414 20 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֨ח H7971 And Saul שָׁאוּל֙ H7586 messengers מַלְאֲכֵ֤י H4397 to take לָקַ֣חַת H3947 אֶת H853 David דָּוִד֒ H1732 and when they saw וַיַּ֗רְא H7200 אֶֽת H853 the company לַהֲקַ֤ת H3862 of the prophets הַנְּבִיאִים֙ H5030 and they also prophesied וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ H5012 and Samuel וּשְׁמוּאֵ֕ל H8050 standing עֹמֵ֥ד H5975 as appointed נִצָּ֖ב H5324 עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם H5921 וַתְּהִ֞י H1961 עַֽל H5921 messengers מַלְאֲכֵ֤י H4397 And Saul שָׁאוּל֙ H7586 over them the Spirit ר֣וּחַ H7307 of מַלְאָכִ֣ים H4397 other אֲחֵרִ֔ים H312 and they prophesied וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ H5012 גַּם H1571 הֵ֑מָּה H1992 again וַיֹּ֣סֶף H3254 Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 he sent וַיִּשְׁלַח֙ H7971 messengers מַלְאָכִ֣ים H4397 the third שְׁלִשִׁ֔ים H7992 and they prophesied וַיִּֽתְנַבְּא֖וּ H5012 גַּם H1571 הֵֽמָּה׃ H1992 22 וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ H1980 גַּם H1571 ה֜וּא H1931 he also to Ramah בָּֽרָמָֽה׃ H7414 and came וַיָּבֹא֙ H935 עַד H5704 well בּ֤וֹר H953 to a great הַגָּדוֹל֙ H1419 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that is in Sechu בַּשֶּׂ֔כוּ H7906 and he asked וַיִּשְׁאַ֣ל H7592 And one said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 Where אֵיפֹ֥ה H375 are Samuel
