H413 and Ahimelech אֲחִימֶ֜לֶךְ H288 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֑ן H3548 was afraid וַיֶּֽחֱרַ֨ד H2729 and Ahimelech אֲחִימֶ֜לֶךְ H288 at the meeting לִקְרַ֣את H7125 David דָּוִ֗ד H1732 and said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 מַדּ֤וּעַ H4069 אַתָּה֙ H859 לְבַדֶּ֔ךָ H905 unto him Why art thou alone and no man וְאִ֖ישׁ H376 אֵ֥ין H369 אִתָּֽךְ׃ H854 2 and hath said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֜ד H1732 unto Ahimelech לַֽאֲחִימֶ֣לֶךְ H288 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֗ן H3548 The king הַמֶּלֶךְ֮ H4428 hath commanded צִוִּיתִ֑ךָ H6680 me a business הַדָּבָ֛ר H1697 and hath said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֵלַ֗י H413 unto me Let commanded צִוִּיתִ֑ךָ H6680 וְאֶת H853 my servants הַנְּעָרִ֣ים H5288 know יוֹדַ֔עְתִּי H3045 אֶל H413 a place מְק֥וֹם H4725 to such פְּלֹנִ֖י H6423 and such אַלְמוֹנִֽי׃ H492 3 וְעַתָּ֗ה H6258 מַה H4100 Now therefore what is יֵּ֧שׁ H3426 תַּֽחַת H8478 in mine hand בְיָדִ֑י H3027 me five חֲמִשָּׁה H2568 loaves of bread לֶ֖חֶם H3899 give תְּנָ֣ה H5414 in mine hand בְיָדִ֑י H3027 א֖וֹ H176 or what there is present הַנִּמְצָֽא׃ H4672 4 answered וַיַּ֨עַן H6030 And the priest הַכֹּהֵ֤ן H3548 אֶת H853 David דָּוִד֙ H1732 and said וַיֹּ֔אמֶר H559 אֵֽין H369 bread לֶ֤חֶם H3899 There is no common ל֗וֹ H0 כִּ֣י H3588 unto him Of a truth אִם H518 women אִשָּׁ֤ה H802 have been kept עֲצֻֽרָה H6113 לָ֙נוּ֙ H0 days כִּתְמ֣וֹל H8543 from us about these three שִׁלְשֹׁ֔ם H8032 since I came out בְּצֵאתִ֕י H3318 וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ H1961 and the vessels בַּכֶּֽלִי׃ H3627 of the young men הַנְּעָרִ֖ים H5288 are holy קֹ֑דֶשׁ H6944 וְהוּא֙ H1931 and the bread is in a manner דֶּ֣רֶךְ H1870 common חֹ֔ל H2455 וְאַ֕ף H637 כִּ֥י H3588 this day הַיּ֖וֹם H3117 yea though it were sanctified יִקְדַּ֥שׁ H6942 and the vessels בַּכֶּֽלִי׃ H3627 6 gave וַיִּתֶּן H5414 ל֥וֹ H0 So the priest הַכֹּהֵ֖ן H3548 him hallowed קֹ֑דֶשׁ H6944 כִּי֩ H3588 לֹא H3808 הָ֨יָה H1961 שָׁ֜ם H8033 bread לֶ֣חֶם H3899 כִּֽי H3588 אִם H518 bread לֶ֣חֶם H3899 from before מִלִּפְנֵ֣י H6440 that was taken הַמּֽוּסָרִים֙ H5493 from
