תַּֽחַת H8478 under a tree הָאֶ֤שֶׁל H815 in Ramah בָּֽרָמָה֙ H7414 having his spear וַֽחֲנִית֣וֹ H2595 in his hand בְיָד֔וֹ H3027 וְכָל H3605 and all his servants עֲבָדָ֖יו H5650 were standing H5921 over the servants עַבְדֵֽי H5650 of Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 I saw רָאִ֙יתִי֙ H7200 אֶת H853 the son בֶּן H1121 of Jesse יִשַׁ֔י H3448 coming בָּ֣א H935 to Nob נֹ֔בֶה H5011 אֶל H413 to Ahimelech אֲחִימֶ֖לֶךְ H288 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ahitub אֲחִטֽוּב׃ H285 10 And he enquired וַיִּשְׁאַל H7592 לוֹ֙ H0 of the LORD בַּֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 him victuals וְצֵידָ֖ה H6720 and gave נָ֥תַן H5414 ל֑וֹ H0 וְאֵ֗ת H853 him the sword חֶ֛רֶב H2719 of Goliath גָּלְיָ֥ת H1555 the Philistine הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֖י H6430 and gave נָ֥תַן H5414 לֽוֹ׃ H0 11 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח H7971 Then the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 to call לִקְרֹא֩ H7121 אֶת H853 Ahimelech אֲחִימֶ֨לֶךְ H288 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ahitub אֲחִיט֜וּב H285 the priest הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים H3548 וְאֵ֨ת H853 כָּל H3605 house בֵּ֥ית H1004 and all his father's אָבִ֛יו H1 the priest הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֖ים H3548 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that were in Nob בְּנֹ֑ב H5011 and they came וַיָּבֹ֥אוּ H935 כֻלָּ֖ם H3605 אֶל H413 Then the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 12 And he answered וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 Hear שְֽׁמַֽע H8085 נָ֖א H4994 now thou son בֶּן H1121 of Ahitub אֲחִיט֑וּב H285 And he answered וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 הִנְנִ֥י H2005 Here I am my lord אֲדֹנִֽי׃ H113 13 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 אֵלָו֙ H413 And Saul שָׁא֔וּל H7586 לָ֚מָּה H4100 unto him Why have ye conspired קְשַׁרְתֶּ֣ם H7194 עָלַ֔י H5921 אַתָּ֖ה H859 against me thou and the son וּבֶן H1121 of Jesse יִשָׁ֑י H3448 in that thou hast given בְּתִתְּךָ֙ H5414 ל֜וֹ H0 him bread לֶ֣חֶם H3899 and a sword וְחֶ֗רֶב H2719 and hast enquired וְשָׁא֥וֹל H7592 לוֹ֙ H0 of God בֵּֽאלֹהִ֔ים H430 for him that he should rise לָק֥וּם H6965 אֵלַ֛י H413 against me to lie in wait לְאֹרֵ֖ב H693 as at this day כַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 14 answered וַיַּ֧עַן H6030 Then Ahimelech אֲחִימֶ֛לֶךְ H288 אֶת H853 the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 וּמִ֤י H4310 בְכָל H3605 among all thy servants עֲבָדֶ֙יךָ֙ H5650 as David כְּדָוִ֣ד H1732 And who is so faithful נֶֽאֱמָ֔ן H539 son in law וַֽחֲתַ֥ן H2860 the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 and goeth וְסָ֥ר H5493 אֶל H413 at thy bidding מִשְׁמַעְתֶּ֖ךָ H4928 and is honourable וְנִכְבָּ֥ד H3513 in thine house בְּבֵיתֶֽךָ׃ H1004 15 Did I then הַיּ֧וֹם H3117 begin הַחִלֹּ֛תִי H2490 to enquire ל֥וֹ H7592 to enquire ל֥וֹ H7592 of God בֵֽאלֹהִ֖ים H430 for him be it far from me חָלִ֣ילָה H2486 לִּ֑י H0 אַל H408 impute יָשֵׂם֩ H7760 let not the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 כִּ֤י H3588 גַם H1571 because their hand יָדָ֔ם H3027 עִם H5973 also is with David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 וְכִ֤י H3588 and because they knew יָֽדְעוּ֙ H3045 כִּֽי H3588 when he fled בֹרֵ֣חַ H1272 ה֔וּא H1931 וְלֹ֥א H3808 and did not shew גָל֖וּ H1540 אֶת H853 אָזְנִ֑וֹ H241 וְלֹֽא H3808 would אָב֞וּ H14 it to me But the servants עַבְדֵ֤י H5650 And the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 not put forth לִשְׁלֹ֣חַ H7971 אֶת H853 because their hand יָדָ֔ם H3027 to fall לִפְגֹ֖עַ H6293 the priests בְּכֹֽהֲנֵ֥י H3548 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 18 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 And Doeg דּוֹיֵ֣ג H1673 Turn וַיִּסֹּ֞ב H5437 אַתָּ֔ה H859 and he fell וַיִּפְגַּע H6293 upon the priests בַּכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים H3548 Turn וַיִּסֹּ֞ב H5437 And Doeg דּוֹיֵ֣ג H1673 the Edomite הָֽאֲדֹמִ֗י H130 and he fell וַיִּפְגַּע H6293 הוּא֙ H1931 upon the priests בַּכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים H3548 and slew וַיָּ֣מֶת׀ H4191 on that day בַּיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַה֗וּא H1931 fourscore שְׁמֹנִ֤ים H8084 and five וַֽחֲמִשָּׁה֙ H2568 persons אִ֔ישׁ H376 that did wear נֹשֵׂ֖א H5375 ephod אֵפ֥וֹד H646 a linen בָּֽד׃ H906 19 וְאֵ֨ת H853 And Nob נֹ֤ב H5011 the city עִיר H5892 of the priests הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ H3548 smote הִכָּ֣ה H5221 he with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חָֽרֶב׃ H2719 both men מֵאִישׁ֙ H376 וְעַד H5704 and women אִשָּׁ֔ה H802 children מֵֽעוֹלֵ֖ל H5768 וְעַד H5704 and sucklings יוֹנֵ֑ק H3243 and oxen וְשׁ֧וֹר H7794 and asses וַֽחֲמ֛וֹר H2543 and sheep וָשֶׂ֖ה H7716 he with the edge לְפִי H6310 of the sword חָֽרֶב׃ H2719 20 escaped וַיִּמָּלֵ֣ט H4422 of the sons בֶּן H1121 And one אֶחָ֗ד H259 of Ahimelech לַֽאֲחִימֶ֙לֶךְ֙ H288 of the sons בֶּן H1121 of Ahitub אֲחִט֔וּב H285 named וּשְׁמ֖וֹ H8034 Abiathar אֶבְיָתָ֑ר H54 and fled וַיִּבְרַ֖ח H1272 after אַֽחֲרֵ֥י H310 David דָוִֽד׃ H1732 21 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֜ד H1732 unto Abiathar לְאֶבְיָתָ֗ר H54 I knew יָדַ֜עְתִּי H3045 it that day בַּיּ֤וֹם H3117 הַהוּא֙ H1931 כִּֽי H3588 שָׁם֙ H8033 when Doeg דּוֹיֵ֣ג H1673 the Edomite הָֽאֲדֹמִ֔י H130 כִּֽי H3588 tell יַגִּ֖יד H5046 tell יַגִּ֖יד H5046 Saul לְשָׁא֑וּל H7586 אָֽנֹכִ֣י H595 I have occasioned סַבֹּ֔תִי H5437 בְּכָל H3605 the death of all the persons נֶ֖פֶשׁ
