him drink וַיַּשְׁקֻ֖הוּ H8248 water מָֽיִם׃ H4325 12 And they gave וַיִּתְּנוּ H5414 לוֹ֩ H0 him a piece פֶ֨לַח H6400 of a cake דְּבֵלָ֜ה H1690 of figs and two וּשְׁנֵ֤י H8147 clusters of raisins צִמֻּקִים֙ H6778 and when he had eaten אָ֤כַל H398 came again וַתָּ֥שָׁב H7725 his spirit רוּח֖וֹ H7307 אֵלָ֑יו H413 כִּ֠י H3588 לֹא H3808 and when he had eaten אָ֤כַל H398 no bread לֶ֙חֶם֙ H3899 וְלֹא H3808 nor drunk שָׁ֣תָה H8354 any water מַ֔יִם H4325 and three וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה H7969 days יָמִ֖ים H3117 and three וּשְׁלֹשָׁ֥ה H7969 nights לֵילֽוֹת׃ H3915 13 said וַיֹּ֜אמֶר H559 ל֤וֹ H0 And David דָוִד֙ H1732 לְֽמִי H4310 אַ֔תָּה H859 וְאֵ֥י H335 מִזֶּ֖ה H2088 אָ֑תָּה H859 said וַיֹּ֜אמֶר H559 I am a young man נַ֧עַר H5288 of Egypt מִצְרִ֣י H4713 אָנֹ֗כִי H595 servant עֶ֚בֶד H5650 to an Amalekite לְאִ֣ישׁ H376 עֲמָֽלֵקִ֔י H6003 left וַיַּֽעַזְבֵ֧נִי H5800 and my master אֲדֹנִ֛י H113 כִּ֥י H3588 agone I fell sick חָלִ֖יתִי H2470 days הַיּ֥וֹם H3117 me because three שְׁלֹשָֽׁה׃ H7969 14 אֲנַ֡חְנוּ H587 We made an invasion פָּשַׁ֜טְנוּ H6584 and upon the south נֶ֣גֶב H5045 of the Cherethites הַכְּרֵתִ֛י H3774 וְעַל H5921 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 and upon the coast which belongeth to Judah לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה H3063 וְעַל H5921 and upon the south נֶ֣גֶב H5045 of Caleb כָּלֵ֑ב H3612 וְאֶת H853 Ziklag צִֽקְלַ֖ג H6860 and we burned שָׂרַ֥פְנוּ H8313 with fire בָאֵֽשׁ׃ H784 15 And he said וַיֹּ֡אמֶר H559 אֵלָיו֙ H413 And David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 and I will bring thee down וְאוֹרִֽדְךָ֖ H3381 אֶל H413 to this company הַגְּד֥וּד H1416 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 And he said וַיֹּ֡אמֶר H559 Swear הִשָּֽׁבְעָה֩ H7650 לִּ֨י H0 unto me by God בֵֽאלֹהִ֜ים H430 me nor וְאִם H518 that thou wilt neither kill תְּמִיתֵ֗נִי H4191 me nor וְאִם H518 deliver תַּסְגִּרֵ֙נִי֙ H5462 me into the hands בְּיַד H3027 of my master אֲדֹנִ֔י H113 and I will bring thee down וְאוֹרִֽדְךָ֖ H3381 אֶל H413 to this company הַגְּד֥וּד H1416 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 16 And when he had brought him down וַיֹּ֣רִדֵ֔הוּ H3381 וְהִנֵּ֥ה H2009 behold they were spread abroad נְטֻשִׁ֖ים H5203 עַל H5921 upon all פְּנֵ֣י H6440 כָל H3605 and out of the land וּמֵאֶ֥רֶץ H776 eating אֹֽכְלִ֤ים H398 and drinking וְשֹׁתִים֙ H8354 and dancing וְחֹ֣גְגִ֔ים H2287 בְּכֹל֙ H3605 spoil הַשָּׁלָ֣ל H7998 because of all the great הַגָּד֔וֹל H1419 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that they had taken לָֽקְח֛וּ H3947 and out of the land וּמֵאֶ֥רֶץ H776 of the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים H6430 and out of the land וּמֵאֶ֥רֶץ H776 of Judah יְהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 17 smote וַיַּכֵּ֥ם H5221 And David דָּוִ֛ד H1732 them from the twilight מֵֽהַנֶּ֥שֶׁף H5399 וְעַד H5704 even unto the evening הָעֶ֖רֶב H6153 of the next day לְמָֽחֳרָתָ֑ם H4283 וְלֹֽא H3808 and there escaped נִמְלַ֤ט H4422 מֵהֶם֙ H1992 men אִֽישׁ H376 כִּי֩ H3588 אִם H518 of them save four אַרְבַּ֨ע H702 hundred מֵא֧וֹת H3967 men אִֽישׁ H376 young נַ֛עַר H5288 אֲשֶׁר H834 which rode רָֽכְב֥וּ H7392 עַל H5921 upon camels הַגְּמַלִּ֖ים H1581 and fled וַיָּנֻֽסוּ׃ H5127 18 recovered הִצִּ֥יל H5337 And David דָּוִֽד׃ H1732 אֵ֛ת H853 כָּל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 had carried away לָֽקְח֖וּ H3947 all that the Amalekites עֲמָלֵ֑ק H6002 וְאֶת H853 his two שְׁתֵּ֥י H8147 wives נָשָׁ֖יו H802 recovered הִצִּ֥יל H5337 And David דָּוִֽד׃ H1732 19 וְלֹ֣א H3808 And there was nothing lacking נֶעְדַּר H5737 לָ֠הֶם H0 to them neither מִן H4480 small הַקָּטֹ֨ן H6996 וְעַד H5704 nor great הַגָּד֜וֹל H1419 וְעַד H5704 neither sons בָּנִ֤ים H1121 nor daughters וּבָנוֹת֙ H1323 neither spoil וּמִשָּׁלָ֔ל H7998 וְעַ֛ד H5704 כָּל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 nor any thing that they had taken לָֽקְח֖וּ H3947 לָהֶ֑ם H0 הַכֹּ֖ל H3605 recovered הֵשִׁ֥יב H7725 to them David דָּוִֽד׃ H1732 20 took וַיִּקַּ֣ח H3947 And David דָּוִֽד׃ H1732 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the flocks הַצֹּ֖אן H6629 and the herds וְהַבָּקָ֑ר H1241 which they drave נָֽהֲג֗וּ H5090 before לִפְנֵי֙ H6440 other cattle הַמִּקְנֶ֣ה H4735 those הַה֔וּא H1931 and said וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 זֶ֖ה H2088 spoil שְׁלַ֥ל H7998 And David דָּוִֽד׃ H1732 21 came וַיָּבֹ֣א H935 And David דָּוִד֙ H1732 אֶל H413 to the two hundred מָאתַ֨יִם H3967 הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֜ים H376 אֲשֶֽׁר H834 which were so faint פִּגְּר֣וּ׀ H6296 מִלֶּ֣כֶת׀ H1980 אַֽחֲרֵ֣י H310 And David דָּוִד֙ H1732 whom they had made also to abide וַיֹּֽשִׁיבֻם֙ H3427 at the brook בְּנַ֣חַל H5158 Besor הַבְּשׂ֔וֹר H1308 and they went forth וַיֵּֽצְאוּ֙ H3318 and to meet וְלִקְרַ֖את H7125 And David דָּוִד֙ H1732 and to meet וְלִקְרַ֖את H7125 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֑וֹ H854 came near וַיִּגַּ֤שׁ H5066 And David דָּוִד֙ H1732 אֶת H853 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 he saluted וַיִּשְׁאַ֥ל H7592 לָהֶ֖ם H0 לְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 22 Then answered וַיַּ֜עַן H6030 כָּל H3605 men אִ֤ישׁ H376 all the wicked רָ֣ע H7451 and men of Belial וּבְלִיַּ֗עַל H1100 of those מֵהָֽאֲנָשִׁים֮ H582 דָּוִ֔ד H1732 לֹֽא H3808 Ye shall not do so תַעֲשׂ֥וּ H6213 כֵ֖ן H3651 my brethren אֶחָ֑י H251 אֵ֠ת H854 אֲשֶׁר H834 hath given וַיִּתֵּ֗ן H5414 with that which the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 לָ֙נוּ֙ H0 us who hath preserved וַיִּשְׁמֹ֣ר H8104 אֹתָ֔נוּ H853 hath given וַיִּתֵּ֗ן H5414 אֶֽת H853 the company הַגְּד֛וּד H1416 that came הַבָּ֥א H935 עָלֵ֖ינוּ H5921 against us into our hand בְּיָדֵֽנוּ׃ H3381 to the battle בַּמִּלְחָמָ֗ה H4421 but as his part וּֽכְחֵ֛לֶק H2506 be that tarrieth הַיֹּשֵׁ֥ב H3427 עַל H5921 by the stuff הַכֵּלִ֖ים H3627 alike יַחְדָּ֥ו H3162 they shall part יַֽחֲלֹֽקוּ׃ H2505 25 וַיְהִ֕י H1961 And it was so from that day הַיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַה֖וּא H1931 forward וָמָ֑עְלָה H4605 that he made וַיְשִׂמֶ֜הָ H7760 it a statute לְחֹ֤ק H2706 and an ordinance וּלְמִשְׁפָּט֙ H4941 for Israel לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 עַ֖ד H5704 And it was so from that day הַיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 26 came וַיָּבֹ֤א H935 And when David דָוִד֙ H1732 אֶל H413 to Ziklag צִ֣קְלַ֔ג H6860 he sent וַיְשַׁלַּ֧ח H7971 for you of the spoil מִשְּׁלַ֖ל H7998 unto the elders לְזִקְנֵ֥י H2205 of Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 even to his friends לְרֵעֵ֣הוּ H7453 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 לָכֶם֙ H0 Behold a present בְּרָכָ֔ה H1293 for you of the spoil מִשְּׁלַ֖ל H7998 of the enemies אֹֽיְבֵ֥י H341 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 27 To them וְלַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 בְּבֵֽית H0 which were in Bethel אֵ֛ל H1008
