לַכֹּֽהֲנִ֤ים H3548 and the diviners וְלַקֹּֽסְמִים֙ H7080 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 מַֽה H4100 What shall we do נַּעֲשֶׂ֖ה H6213 to the ark לַֽאֲר֣וֹן H727 of the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 tell הֽוֹדִעֻ֕נוּ H3045 take וּלְקַחְתֶּ֞ם H3947 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 and lay וּנְתַתֶּ֤ם H5414 אֹתוֹ֙ H853 אֶל H413 it upon the cart הָ֣עֲגָלָ֔ה H5699 וְאֵ֣ת׀ H853 the jewels כְּלֵ֣י H3627 goeth up יַֽעֲלֶה֙ H5927 בֵּ֣ית H0 to Bethshemesh שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ H1053 ה֚וּא H1931 then he hath done עָ֣שָׂה H6213 לָ֔נוּ H0 אֶת H853 evil הָֽרָעָ֥ה H7451 us this great הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה H1419 הַזֹּ֑את H2063 וְאִם H518 לֹ֗א H3808 but if not then we shall know וְיָדַ֙עְנוּ֙ H3045 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֤א H3808 that it is not his hand יָדוֹ֙ H3027 that smote נָ֣גְעָה H5060 בָּ֔נוּ H0 us it was a chance מִקְרֶ֥ה H4745 ה֖וּא H1931 that happened to us הָ֥יָה H1961 לָֽנוּ׃ H0 10 did so וַיַּֽעֲשׂ֤וּ H6213 הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֙ H376 כֵּ֔ן H3651 and took וַיִּקְח֗וּ H3947 two שְׁתֵּ֤י H8147 kine פָרוֹת֙ H6510 milch עָל֔וֹת H5763 and tied וַיַּֽאַסְר֖וּם H631 them to the cart בָּֽעֲגָלָ֑ה H5699 וְאֶת H853 their calves בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם H1121 and shut up כָּל֥וּ H3607 at home בַבָּֽיִת׃ H1004 11 And they laid וַיָּשִׂ֛מוּ H7760 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֥וֹן H727 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶל H413 upon the cart הָֽעֲגָלָ֑ה H5699 וְאֵ֣ת H853 and the coffer הָֽאַרְגַּ֗ז H712 וְאֵת֙ H853 with the mice עַכְבְּרֵ֣י H5909 of gold הַזָּהָ֔ב H2091 וְאֵ֖ת H853 and the images צַלְמֵ֥י H6754 of their emerods טְחֹֽרֵיהֶֽם׃ H2914 12 took the straight וַיִשַּׁ֨רְנָה H3474 And the kine הַפָּר֜וֹת H6510 to the way דֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ H1870 עַל H5921 to the way דֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ H1870 בֵּ֣ית H0 of Bethshemesh שָֽׁמֶשׁ׃ H1053 the highway בִּמְסִלָּ֣ה H4546 אַחַ֗ת H259 and went along הֹֽלְכִ֣ים H1980 and went along הֹֽלְכִ֣ים H1980 lowing וְגָע֔וֹ H1600 וְלֹא H3808 and turned not aside סָ֖רוּ H5493 to the right hand יָמִ֣ין H3225 or to the left וּשְׂמֹ֑אול H8040 and the lords וְסַרְנֵ֤י H5633 of the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּים֙ H6430 and went along הֹֽלְכִ֣ים H1980 after אַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם H310 עַד H5704 them unto the border גְּב֖וּל H1366 בֵּ֥ית H0 of Bethshemesh שָֽׁמֶשׁ׃ H1053 13 וּבֵ֣ית H0 And they of Bethshemesh שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ H1053 were reaping קֹֽצְרִ֥ים H7114 harvest קְצִיר H7105 their wheat חִטִּ֖ים H2406 in the valley בָּעֵ֑מֶק H6010 and they lifted up וַיִּשְׂא֣וּ H5375 אֶת H853 their eyes עֵֽינֵיהֶ֗ם H5869 and saw לִרְאֽוֹת׃ H7200 אֶת H853 the ark הָ֣אָר֔וֹן H727 and rejoiced וַֽיִּשְׂמְח֖וּ H8055 and saw לִרְאֽוֹת׃ H7200 14 And the cart הָֽעֲגָלָ֔ה H5699 came בָּ֠אָה H935 אֶל H413 into the field שְׂדֵ֨ה H7704 of Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַ H3091 בֵּֽית H0 a Bethshemite הַשִּׁמְשִׁי֙ H1030 and stood וַתַּֽעֲמֹ֣ד H5975 שָׁ֔ם H8033 וְשָׁ֖ם H8033 stone אֶ֣בֶן H68 there where there was a great גְּדוֹלָ֑ה H1419 and they clave וַֽיְבַקְּעוּ֙ H1234 אֶת H853 the wood עֲצֵ֣י H6086 And the cart הָֽעֲגָלָ֔ה H5699 וְאֶת H853 the kine הַ֨פָּר֔וֹת H6510 and offered הֶֽעֱל֥וּ H5927 a burnt offering עֹלָ֖ה H5930 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 15 And the Levites וְהַלְוִיִּ֞ם H3881 took down הוֹרִ֣ידוּ׀ H3381 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 וְאֶת H853 and the coffer הָֽאַרְגַּ֤ז H712 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּוֹ֙ H854 אֲשֶׁר H834 בּ֣וֹ H0 that was with it wherein the jewels כְלֵֽי H3627 of gold זָהָ֔ב H2091 were and put וַיָּשִׂ֖מוּ H7760 אֶל H413 stone הָאֶ֣בֶן H68 them on the great הַגְּדוֹלָ֑ה H1419 וְאַנְשֵׁ֣י H376 בֵֽית H0 of Bethshemesh שֶׁ֗מֶשׁ H1053 offered הֶֽעֱל֨וּ H5927 burnt offerings עֹל֜וֹת H5930 and sacrificed וַֽיִּזְבְּח֧וּ H2076 sacrifices זְבָחִ֛ים H2077 the same day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַה֖וּא H1931 of the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 16 And when the five וַֽחֲמִשָּׁ֥ה H2568 lords סַרְנֵֽי H5633 of the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים H6430 had seen רָא֑וּ H7200 it they returned וַיָּשֻׁ֥בוּ H7725 to Ekron עֶקְר֖וֹן H6138 the same day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַהֽוּא׃ H1931 17 וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ H428 emerods טְחֹרֵ֣י H2914 And these are the golden הַזָּהָ֔ב H2091 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 returned הֵשִׁ֧יבוּ H7725 which the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּ֛ים H6430 for a trespass offering אָשָׁ֖ם H817 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֑ה H3068 for Ashdod לְאַשְׁדּ֨וֹד H795 one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 for Gaza לְעַזָּ֤ה H5804 one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 for Askelon לְאַשְׁקְל֣וֹן H831 one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 for Gath לְגַ֥ת H1661 one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 for Ekron לְעֶקְר֥וֹן H6138 one אֶחָֽד׃ H259 18 mice וְעַכְבְּרֵ֣י H5909 And the golden הַזָּהָ֗ב H2091 according to the number מִסְפַּ֞ר H4557 כָּל H3605 cities מֵעִ֣יר H5892 of the Philistines פְלִשְׁתִּים֙ H6430 belonging to the five לַֽחֲמֵ֣שֶׁת H2568 lords הַסְּרָנִ֔ים H5633 cities מֵעִ֣יר H5892 both of fenced מִבְצָ֔ר H4013 וְעַ֖ד H5704 villages כֹּ֣פֶר H3724 and of country הַפְּרָזִ֑י H6521 וְעַ֣ד׀ H5704 stone of Abel אָבֵ֣ל H59 even unto the great הַגְּדוֹלָ֗ה H1419 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 whereon they set down הִנִּ֤יחוּ H3240 עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ H5921 אֵ֚ת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 עַ֚ד H5704 which stone remaineth unto this day הַיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 in the field בִּשְׂדֵ֥ה H7704 of Joshua יְהוֹשֻׁ֖עַ H3091 בֵּֽית H0 the Bethshemite הַשִּׁמְשִֽׁי׃ H1030 19 And he smote הִכָּ֧ה H5221 men בְּאַנְשֵׁ֣י H582 בֵֽית H0 of Bethshemesh שֶׁ֗מֶשׁ H1053 כִּ֤י H3588 because they had looked רָאוּ֙ H7200 into the ark בַּֽאֲר֣וֹן H727 because the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 And he smote הִכָּ֧ה H5221 and the people בָּעָ֖ם H5971 and threescore and ten שִׁבְעִ֣ים H7657 the men אִ֑ישׁ H376 fifty חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים H2572 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 the men אִ֑ישׁ H376 lamented וַיִּֽתְאַבְּל֣וּ H56 and the people בָּעָ֖ם H5971 כִּֽי H3588 And he smote הִכָּ֧ה H5221 because the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 and the people בָּעָ֖ם H5971 slaughter מַכָּ֥ה H4347 with a great גְדוֹלָֽה׃ H1419 20 said וַיֹּֽאמְרוּ֙ H559 אַנְשֵׁ֣י H376 בֵֽית H0 of Bethshemesh שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ H1053 מִ֚י H4310 Who is able יוּכַ֣ל H3201 to stand לַֽעֲמֹ֔ד H5975 before לִפְנֵ֨י H6440 LORD יְהוָ֧ה H3068 God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 this holy הַקָּד֖וֹשׁ H6918 הַזֶּ֑ה H2088 וְאֶל H413 מִ֖י H4310 and to whom shall he go up
