firstborn בְּנ֤וֹ H1121 הַבְּכוֹר֙ H1060 was Joel יוֹאֵ֔ל H3100 Now the name וְשֵׁ֥ם H8034 of his second מִשְׁנֵ֖הוּ H4932 Abiah אֲבִיָּ֑ה H29 they were judges שֹֽׁפְטִ֖ים H8199 בִּבְאֵ֥ר H0 in H2088 יִֽהְיֶה֙ H1961 This will be the manner מִשְׁפַּ֣ט H4941 of the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that shall reign יִמְלֹ֖ךְ H4427 עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם H5921 אֶת H853 your sons בְּנֵיכֶ֣ם H1121 over you He will take יִקָּ֗ח H3947 and appoint וְשָׂ֥ם H7760 לוֹ֙ H0 his chariots מֶרְכַּבְתּֽוֹ׃ H4818 and to be his horsemen וּבְפָֽרָשָׁ֔יו H6571 and some shall run וְרָצ֖וּ H7323 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 his chariots מֶרְכַּבְתּֽוֹ׃ H4818 12 And he will appoint וְלָשׂ֣וּם H7760 ל֔וֹ H0 and captains וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 over thousands אֲלָפִ֖ים H505 and captains וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 over fifties חֲמִשִּׁ֑ים H2572 and will set them to ear וְלַֽחֲרֹ֤שׁ H2790 his ground חֲרִישׁוֹ֙ H2758 and to reap וְלִקְצֹ֣ר H7114 his harvest קְצִיר֔וֹ H7105 and to make וְלַֽעֲשׂ֥וֹת H6213 and instruments וּכְלֵ֥י H3627 of war מִלְחַמְתּ֖וֹ H4421 and instruments וּכְלֵ֥י H3627 of his chariots רִכְבּֽוֹ׃ H7393 13 וְאֶת H853 your daughters בְּנֽוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם H1323 And he will take יִקָּ֑ח H3947 to be confectionaries לְרַקָּח֥וֹת H7548 and to be cooks וּלְטַבָּח֖וֹת H2879 and to be bakers וּלְאֹפֽוֹת׃ H644 14 וְאֶת H853 your fields שְׂ֠דֽוֹתֵיכֶם H7704 וְאֶת H853 and your vineyards כַּרְמֵיכֶ֧ם H3754 and your oliveyards וְזֵֽיתֵיכֶ֛ם H2132 even the best הַטּוֹבִ֖ים H2896 And he will take יִקָּ֑ח H3947 of them and give וְנָתַ֖ן H5414 them to his servants לַֽעֲבָדָֽיו׃ H5650 15 of your seed וְזַרְעֵיכֶ֥ם H2233 and of your vineyards וְכַרְמֵיכֶ֖ם H3754 And he will take the tenth יַעְשֹׂ֑ר H6237 and give וְנָתַ֥ן H5414 to his officers לְסָֽרִיסָ֖יו H5631 and to his servants וְלַֽעֲבָדָֽיו׃ H5650 16 וְאֶת H853 your H859 תִּֽהְיוּ H1961 ל֥וֹ H0 and ye shall be his servants לַֽעֲבָדִֽים׃ H5650 18 And ye shall cry out וּזְעַקְתֶּם֙ H2199 in that day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַה֔וּא H1931 because מִלִּפְנֵ֣י H6440 of your king מַלְכְּכֶ֔ם H4428 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which ye shall have chosen בְּחַרְתֶּ֖ם H977 לָכֶ֑ם H0 וְלֹֽא H3808 will not hear יַעֲנֶ֧ה H6030 you and the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 אֶתְכֶ֖ם H853 in that day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַהֽוּא׃ H1931 19 refused וַיְמָֽאֲנ֣וּ H3985 Nevertheless the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 to obey לִשְׁמֹ֖עַ H8085 the voice בְּק֣וֹל H6963 of Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל H8050 and they said וַיֹּֽאמְר֣וּ H559 לֹּ֔א H3808 כִּ֥י H3588 אִם H518 Nay but we will have a king מֶ֖לֶךְ H4428 יִֽהְיֶ֥ה H1961 עָלֵֽינוּ׃ H5921 20 וְהָיִ֥ינוּ H1961 גַם H1571 אֲנַ֖חְנוּ H587 כְּכָל H3605 That we also may be like all the nations הַגּוֹיִ֑ם H1471 may judge וּשְׁפָטָ֤נוּ H8199 and that our king מַלְכֵּ֙נוּ֙ H4428 us and go out וְיָצָ֣א H3318 before לְפָנֵ֔ינוּ H6440 us and fight וְנִלְחַ֖ם H3898 אֶת H853 our battles מִלְחֲמֹתֵֽנוּ׃ H4421 21 heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע H8085 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֔ל H8050 אֵ֖ת H853 כָּל H3605 all the words דִּבְרֵ֣י H1697 of the people הָעָ֑ם H5971 and he rehearsed וַֽיְדַבְּרֵ֖ם H1696 them
