of God אֱלֹהִים֙ H430 unto him Behold now there is in this city בָּעִ֣יר H5892 הַזֹּ֔את H2063 a man וְהָאִ֣ישׁ H376 and he is an honourable נִכְבָּ֔ד H3513 כֹּ֥ל H3605 אֲשֶׁר H834 all that he saith יְדַבֵּ֖ר H1696 cometh יָב֑וֹא H935 cometh יָב֑וֹא H935 עַתָּה֙ H6258 that we should go הָלַ֥כְנוּ H1980 שָּׁ֔ם H8033 אוּלַי֙ H194 thither peradventure he can shew יַגִּ֣יד H5046 לָ֔נוּ H0 אֶת H853 us הָֽרֹאֶֽה׃ H7200 כִּ֤י H3588 called a Prophet לַנָּבִיא֙ H5030 for he that is now הַיּ֔וֹם H3117 called יִקָּרֵ֥א H7121 Beforetime לְפָנִ֖ים H6440 a Seer הָֽרֹאֶֽה׃ H7200 10 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 Saul שָׁא֧וּל H7586 to his servant לְנַֽעֲר֛וֹ H5288 Well ט֥וֹב H2896 Then said דְּבָֽרְךָ֖ H1697 לְכָ֣ה׀ H1980 נֵלֵ֑כָה H1980 וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ H1980 אֶל H413 unto the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 אֲשֶׁר H834 שָׁ֖ם H8033 where the man אִ֥ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃ H430 11 הֵ֗מָּה H1992 And as they went up עֹלִים֙ H5927 the hill בְּמַֽעֲלֵ֣ה H4608 to the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 וְהֵ֙מָּה֙ H1992 they found מָֽצְא֣וּ H4672 young maidens נְעָר֔וֹת H5291 going out יֹֽצְא֖וֹת H3318 to draw לִשְׁאֹ֣ב H7579 water מָ֑יִם H4325 and said וַיֹּֽאמְר֣וּ H559 לָהֶ֔ן H0 unto them Is הֲיֵ֥שׁ H3426 בָּזֶ֖ה H2088 the seer הָֽרֹאֶֽה׃ H7200 12 And they answered וַתַּֽעֲנֶ֧ינָה H6030 אוֹתָ֛ם H853 them and said וַתֹּאמַ֥רְנָה H559 He is יֵּ֖שׁ H3426 הִנֵּ֣ה H2009 behold he is before לְפָנֶ֑יךָ H6440 you make haste מַהֵ֣ר׀ H4116 עַתָּ֗ה H6258 כִּ֤י H3588 to day הַיּ֛וֹם H3117 now for he came בָּ֣א H935 to the city לָעִ֔יר H5892 כִּ֣י H3588 for there is a sacrifice זֶ֧בַח H2077 to day הַיּ֛וֹם H3117 of the people לָעָ֖ם H5971 in the high place בַּבָּמָֽה׃ H1116 13 As soon as ye be come בֹּא֔וֹ H935 into the city הָעִ֣יר H5892 ye shall straightway כֵ֖ן H3651 find תִּמְצְא֥וּן H4672 אֹת֡וֹ H853 בְּטֶרֶם֩ H2962 Now therefore get you up עֲל֔וּ H5927 to the high place הַבָּמָ֜תָה H1116 they eat יֹֽאכְל֣וּ H398 כִּ֠י H3588 לֹֽא H3808 they eat יֹֽאכְל֣וּ H398 for the people הָעָם֙ H5971 עַד H5704 As soon as ye be come בֹּא֔וֹ H935 כִּי H3588 הוּא֙ H1931 because he doth bless יְבָרֵ֣ךְ H1288 the sacrifice הַזֶּ֔בַח H2077 and afterwards אַֽחֲרֵי H310 ye shall straightway כֵ֖ן H3651 they eat יֹֽאכְל֣וּ H398 that be bidden הַקְּרֻאִ֑ים H7121 וְעַתָּ֣ה H6258 Now therefore get you up עֲל֔וּ H5927 כִּֽי H3588 אֹת֥וֹ H853 for about this time כְהַיּ֖וֹם H3117 find תִּמְצְא֥וּן H4672 אֹתֽוֹ׃ H853 14 And they went up לַֽעֲל֖וֹת H5927 into the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 הֵ֗מָּה H1992 and when they were come בָּאִים֙ H935 into בְּת֣וֹךְ H8432 into the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 וְהִנֵּ֤ה H2009 behold Samuel שְׁמוּאֵל֙ H8050 came out יֹצֵ֣א H3318 against לִקְרָאתָ֔ם H7125 And they went up לַֽעֲל֖וֹת H5927 to the high place הַבָּמָֽה׃ H1116 15 Now the LORD וַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 had told גָּלָ֖ה H1540 אֶת H853 in his ear אֹ֣זֶן H241 Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֑ל H8050 day י֣וֹם H3117 a אֶחָ֔ד H259 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 came בֽוֹא H935 Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 16 about this time כָּעֵ֣ת׀ H6256 To morrow מָחָ֡ר H4279 I will send אֶשְׁלַח֩ H7971 אֵלֶ֨יךָ H413 thee a man אִ֜ישׁ H376 out of the land מֵאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Benjamin בִּנְיָמִ֗ן H1144 and thou shalt anoint וּמְשַׁחְתּ֤וֹ H4886 him to be captain לְנָגִיד֙ H5057 עַל H5921 my people עַמִּ֔י H5971 Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 that he may save וְהוֹשִׁ֥יעַ H3467 אֶת H853 my people עַמִּ֔י H5971 out of the hand מִיַּ֣ד H3027 of the Philistines פְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים H6430 כִּ֤י H3588 for I have looked רָאִ֙יתִי֙ H7200 אֶת H853 my people עַמִּ֔י H5971 כִּ֛י H3588 is come בָּ֥אָה H935 because their cry צַֽעֲקָת֖וֹ H6818 אֵלָֽי׃ H413 17 And when Samuel וּשְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 saw רָאָ֣ה H7200 אֶת H853 Saul שָׁא֑וּל H7586 the LORD וַֽיהוָ֣ה H3068 said עָנָ֔הוּ H6030 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 unto him Behold the man הָאִישׁ֙ H376 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 whom I spake אָמַ֣רְתִּי H559 אֵלֶ֔יךָ H413 זֶ֖ה H2088 to thee of! this same shall reign יַעְצֹ֥ר H6113 over my people בְּעַמִּֽי׃ H5971 18 drew near וַיִּגַּ֥שׁ H5066 Then Saul שָׁא֛וּל H7586 אֶת H853 to Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 in בְּת֣וֹךְ H8432 the gate הַשָּׁ֑עַר H8179 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 Tell הַגִּֽידָה H5046 נָּ֣א H4994 לִ֔י H0 me I pray thee where אֵי H335 זֶ֖ה H2088 house בֵּ֥ית H1004 the seer's הָֽרֹאֶֽה׃ H7200 19 answered וַיַּ֨עַן H6030 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֜ל H8050 אֶת H853 Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אָֽנֹכִ֣י H595 I am the seer הָֽרֹאֶ֔ה H7200 go up עֲלֵ֤ה H5927 before לְפָנַי֙ H6440 me unto the high place הַבָּמָ֔ה H1116 for ye shall eat וַֽאֲכַלְתֶּ֥ם H398 עִמִּ֖י H5973 with me to day הַיּ֑וֹם H3117 I will let thee go וְשִׁלַּחְתִּ֣יךָ H7971 and to morrow בַבֹּ֔קֶר H1242 וְכֹ֛ל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 thee all that is in thine heart בִּֽלְבָבְךָ֖ H3824 and will tell אַגִּ֥יד H5046 לָֽךְ׃ H0 20 And as for thine asses וְלָֽאֲתֹנ֞וֹת H860 that were lost הָאֹֽבְד֣וֹת H6 לְךָ֗ H0 ago הַיָּמִ֔ים H3117 three שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת H7969 ago הַיָּמִ֔ים H3117 אַל H408 set תָּ֧שֶׂם H7760 אֶֽת H853 not thy mind לִבְּךָ֛ H3820 לָהֶ֖ם H0 כִּ֣י H3588 on them for they are found נִמְצָ֑אוּ H4672 וּלְמִי֙ H4310 כָּל H3605 And on whom is all the desire חֶמְדַּ֣ת H2532 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 הֲל֣וֹא H3808 לְךָ֔ H0 וּלְכֹ֖ל H3605 house בֵּ֥ית H1004 Is it not on thee and on all thy father's אָבִֽיךָ׃ H1 21 answered וַיַּ֨עַן H6030 And Saul שָׁא֜וּל H7586 and said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 הֲל֨וֹא H3808 בֶן H0 Am not I a Benjamite יְמִינִ֤י H1145 אָ֙נֹכִי֙ H595 of the smallest מִקַּטַנֵּי֙ H6996 of the tribe שִׁבְטֵ֣י H7626 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 and my family מִשְׁפְּח֖וֹת H4940 the least הַצְּעִרָ֔ה H6810 מִכָּֽל H3605 and my family מִשְׁפְּח֖וֹת H4940 of the tribe שִׁבְטֵ֣י H7626 of Benjamin בִנְיָמִ֑ן H1144 וְלָ֙מָּה֙ H4100 wherefore then speakest דִּבַּ֣רְתָּ H1696 אֵלַ֔י H413 thou so כַּדָּבָ֖ר H1697 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 22 took וַיִּקַּ֤ח H3947 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵל֙ H8050 אֶת H853 Saul שָׁא֣וּל H7586 וְאֶֽת H853 and his servant נַעֲר֔וֹ H5288 and brought וַיְבִיאֵ֖ם H935 them into the parlour לִשְׁכָּ֑תָה H3957 and made them sit וַיִּתֵּ֨ן H5414 לָהֶ֤ם H0 place מָקוֹם֙ H4725 in the chiefest בְּרֹ֣אשׁ H7218 among them that were bidden הַקְּרוּאִ֔ים H7121 וְהֵ֖מָּה H1992 which were about thirty כִּשְׁלֹשִׁ֥ם H7970 persons אִֽישׁ׃ H376 23 said אָמַ֣רְתִּי H559 And Samuel שְׁמוּאֵל֙ H8050 unto the cook לַטַּבָּ֔ח H2876 Bring נָתַ֖תִּי H5414 אֶת H853 the portion הַמָּנָ֔ה H4490 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 Bring נָתַ֖תִּי H5414 לָ֑ךְ H0 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 said אָמַ֣רְתִּי H559 אֵלֶ֔יךָ H413 unto thee Set שִׂ֥ים H7760 אֹתָ֖הּ H853 עִמָּֽךְ׃ H5973 24 took up וַיָּ֣רֶם H7311 And the cook הַ֠טַּבָּח H2876 אֶת H853 the shoulder הַשּׁ֨וֹק H7785 וְהֶֽעָלֶ֜יהָ H5921 set שִׂים H7760 it before לְפָנֶ֣יךָ H6440 Saul שָׁא֛וּל H7586 And Samuel said לֵאמֹ֖ר H559 הִנֵּ֤ה H2009 Behold that which is left הַנִּשְׁאָר֙ H7604 set שִׂים H7760 it before לְפָנֶ֣יךָ H6440 did eat וַיֹּ֧אכַל H398 כִּ֧י H3588 for unto this time לַמּוֹעֵ֛ד H4150 hath it been kept שָֽׁמוּר H8104 לְךָ֥ H0 And Samuel said לֵאמֹ֖ר H559 the people הָעָ֣ם׀ H5971 I have invited קָרָ֑אתִי H7121 did eat וַיֹּ֧אכַל H398 Saul שָׁא֛וּל H7586 עִם H5973 with Samuel שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 that day בַּיּ֥וֹם H3117 הַהֽוּא׃ H1931 25 And when they were come down וַיֵּֽרְד֥וּ H3381 from the high place מֵֽהַבָּמָ֖ה H1116 into the city הָעִ֑יר H5892 Samuel communed וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר H1696 עִם H5973 with Saul שָׁא֖וּל H7586 עַל H5921 upon the top of the house הַגָּֽג׃ H1406 26 And they arose early וַיַּשְׁכִּ֗מוּ H7925 וַיְהִ֞י H1961 and it came to pass about the spring כַּֽעֲל֤וֹת H5927 of the day הַשַּׁ֙חַר֙ H7837 called וַיִּקְרָ֨א H7121 of them he and Samuel וּשְׁמוּאֵ֖ל H8050 אֶל H413 And Saul שָׁא֗וּל H7586 to the top of the
