וַיִּ֧בֶן H1129 אֶת H853 בֵּֽית H0 even Bethlehem לֶ֛חֶם H1035 וְאֶת H853 and Etam עֵיטָ֖ם H5862 וְאֶת H853 and Tekoa תְּקֽוֹעַ׃ H8620 7 וְאֶת H853 בֵּֽית H0 And Bethzur צ֥וּר H1049 וְאֶת H853 and Shoco שׂוֹכ֖וֹ H7755 וְאֶת H853 and Adullam עֲדֻלָּֽם׃ H5725 8 וְאֶת H853 And Gath גַּ֥ת H1661 וְאֶת H853 and Mareshah מָֽרֵשָׁ֖ה H4762 וְאֶת H853 and Ziph זִֽיף׃ H2128 9 וְאֶת H853 And Adoraim אֲדוֹרַ֥יִם H115 וְאֶת H853 and Lachish לָכִ֖ישׁ H3923 וְאֶת H853 and Azekah עֲזֵקָֽה׃ H5825 10 וְאֶת H853 And Zorah צָרְעָה֙ H6881 וְאֶת H853 and Aijalon אַיָּל֔וֹן H357 וְאֶת H853 and Hebron חֶבְר֔וֹן H2275 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which are in Judah בִּֽיהוּדָ֖ה H3063 and in Benjamin וּבְבִנְיָמִ֑ן H1144 cities עָרֵ֖י H5892 fenced מְצֻרֽוֹת׃ H4694 11 And he fortified וַיְחַזֵּ֖ק H2388 אֶת H853 the strong holds הַמְּצֻר֑וֹת H4694 and put וַיִּתֵּ֤ן H5414 בָּהֶם֙ H0 captains נְגִידִ֔ים H5057 in them and store וְאֹֽצְר֥וֹת H214 of victual מַֽאֲכָ֖ל H3978 and of oil וְשֶׁ֥מֶן H8081 and wine וָיָֽיִן׃ H3196 12 וּבְכָל H3605 And in every several city וָעִיר֙ H5892 And in every several city וָעִיר֙ H5892 he put shields צִנּ֣וֹת H6793 and spears וּרְמָחִ֔ים H7420 strong וַֽיְחַזְּקֵ֖ם H2388 and made them exceeding לְהַרְבֵּ֣ה H7235 מְאֹ֑ד H3966 וַֽיְהִי H1961 ל֖וֹ H0 having Judah יְהוּדָ֥ה H3063 and Benjamin וּבִנְיָמִֽן׃ H1144 13 And the priests וְהַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ H3548 and the Levites וְהַלְוִיִּ֔ם H3881 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 בְּכָל H3605 that were in all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 resorted הִֽתְיַצְּב֥וּ H3320 עָלָ֖יו H5921 מִכָּל H3605 to him out of all their coasts גְּבוּלָֽם׃ H1366 14 כִּֽי H3588 left עָזְב֣וּ H5800 For the Levites הַלְוִיִּ֗ם H3881 אֶת H853 their suburbs מִגְרְשֵׁיהֶם֙ H4054 and their possession וַֽאֲחֻזָּתָ֔ם H272 וַיֵּֽלְכ֥וּ H1980 to Judah לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה H3063 and Jerusalem וְלִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 כִּֽי H3588 had cast them off הִזְנִיחָ֤ם H2186 for Jeroboam יָֽרָבְעָם֙ H3379 and his sons וּבָנָ֔יו H1121 from executing the priest's office מִכַּהֵ֖ן H3547 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 15 And he ordained וַיַּֽעֲמֶד H5975 לוֹ֙ H0 him priests כֹּֽהֲנִ֔ים H3548 for the high places לַבָּמ֖וֹת H1116 and for the devils וְלַשְּׂעִירִ֑ים H8163 and for the calves וְלָֽעֲגָלִ֖ים H5695 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which he had made עָשָֽׂה׃ H6213 16 And after וְאַֽחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם H310 מִכֹּל֙ H3605 them out of all the tribes שִׁבְטֵ֣י H7626 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 such as set הַנֹּֽתְנִים֙ H5414 אֶת H853 their hearts לְבָבָ֔ם H3824 to seek לְבַקֵּ֕שׁ H1245 אֶת H853 the LORD לַֽיהוָ֖ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 came בָּ֚אוּ H935 to Jerusalem מַלְכ֣וּת H4438 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 strong וַֽיְאַמְּצ֛וּ H553 אֶת H853 and made Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֥ם H7346 the son בֶּן H1121 and Solomon וּשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה H8010 years לְשָׁנִ֥ים H8141 for three שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃ H7969 כִּ֣י H3588 they walked הָֽלְכ֗וּ H1980 in the way בְּדֶ֧רֶךְ H1870 of David דָּוִ֛יד H1732 and Solomon וּשְׁלֹמֹ֖ה H8010 years לְשָׁנִ֥ים H8141 for three שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃ H7969 18 took דָּוִ֑יד H1732 and Abihail אֲבִיהַ֕יִל H32 the daughter בַּת H1323 of Eliab אֱלִיאָ֖ב H446 the son בֶּן H1121 of Jesse יִשָֽׁי׃ H3448 19 Which bare וַתֵּ֥לֶד H3205 ל֖וֹ H0 him children בָּנִ֑ים H1121 his wives נָשִׁ֤ים H802 and his concubines וּפִֽילַגְשִׁ֖ים H6370 כִּ֠י H3588 above all his wives נָשִׁ֤ים H802 and eight וּשְׁמוֹנָ֛ה H8083 עֶשְׂרֵה֙ H6240 for he took נָשָׂ֔א H5375 and his לְנָגִ֣יד H5057 among his brethren בְּאֶחָ֑יו H251 כִּ֖י H3588 for he thought to make him king לְהַמְלִיכֽוֹ׃ H4427 23 And he dealt wisely וַיָּבֶן֩ H995 and dispersed וַיִּפְרֹ֨ץ H6555 מִכָּל H3605
