and all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 עִמּֽוֹ׃ H5973 2 וַיְהִ֞י H1961 year בַּשָּׁנָ֤ה H8141 And it came to pass that in the fifth הַֽחֲמִישִׁית֙ H2549 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֔ם H7346 came up עָלָ֛ה H5927 Shishak שִׁישַׁ֥ק H7895 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Egypt מִצְרַ֖יִם H4714 עַל H5921 against Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 כִּ֥י H3588 because they had transgressed מָֽעֲל֖וּ H4603 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 3 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 With twelve hundred וּמָאתַ֙יִם֙ H3967 chariots רֶ֔כֶב H7393 and threescore וּבְשִׁשִּׁ֥ים H8346 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 horsemen פָּֽרָשִׁ֑ים H6571 וְאֵ֣ין H369 were without number מִסְפָּ֗ר H4557 and the people לָעָ֞ם H5971 אֲשֶׁר H834 that came בָּ֤אוּ H935 עִמּוֹ֙ H5973 with him out of Egypt מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם H4714 the Lubims לוּבִ֥ים H3864 the Sukkiims סֻכִּיִּ֖ים H5525 and the Ethiopians וְכוּשִֽׁים׃ H3569 4 And he took וַיִּלְכֹּ֛ד H3920 אֶת H853 cities עָרֵ֥י H5892 the fenced הַמְּצֻר֖וֹת H4694 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which pertained to Judah לִֽיהוּדָ֑ה H3063 and came וַיָּבֹ֖א H935 עַד H5704 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ H3389 5 Shemaiah וּֽשְׁמַעְיָ֤ה H8098 the prophet הַנָּבִיא֙ H5030 Then came בָּ֣א H935 אֶל H413 to Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֔ם H7346 and to the princes וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 אֲשֶׁר H834 that were gathered together נֶֽאֶסְפ֥וּ H622 אֶל H413 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם H3389 because מִפְּנֵ֣י H6440 of Shishak שִׁישָֽׁק׃ H7895 and said אָמַ֣ר H559 לָהֶ֜ם H0 כֹּֽה H3541 and said אָמַ֣ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 אַתֶּם֙ H859 Ye have forsaken עָזַ֥בְתִּי H5800 אֹתִ֔י H853 me and therefore have I also וְאַף H637 אֲנִ֛י H589 Ye have forsaken עָזַ֥בְתִּי H5800 אֶתְכֶ֖ם H853 you in the hand בְּיַד H3027 of Shishak שִׁישָֽׁק׃ H7895 6 humbled וַיִּכָּֽנְע֥וּ H3665 Whereupon the princes שָׂרֵֽי H8269 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 and the king וְהַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 themselves and they said וַיֹּֽאמְר֖וּ H559 is righteous צַדִּ֥יק׀ H6662 The LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 7 saw וּבִרְא֤וֹת H7200 And when the LORD יְהוָ֨ה H3068 כִּ֣י H3588 They have humbled נִכְנְע֖וּ H3665 הָיָה֩ H1961 themselves the word דְבַר H1697 And when the LORD יְהוָ֨ה H3068 אֶל H413 came to Shemaiah שְׁמַעְיָ֧ה׀ H8098 saying לֵאמֹ֛ר H559 They have humbled נִכְנְע֖וּ H3665 לֹ֣א H3808 themselves therefore I will not destroy אַשְׁחִיתֵ֑ם H7843 them but I will grant וְנָֽתַתִּ֨י H5414 לָהֶ֤ם H1992 them some כִּמְעַט֙ H4592 deliverance לִפְלֵיטָ֔ה H6413 וְלֹֽא H3808 shall not be poured out תִתַּ֧ךְ H5413 and my wrath חֲמָתִ֛י H2534 upon Jerusalem בִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם H3389 by the hand בְּיַד H3027 of Shishak שִׁישָֽׁק׃ H7895 8 כִּ֥י H3588 יִֽהְיוּ H1961 ל֖וֹ H0 Nevertheless they shall be his servants לַֽעֲבָדִ֑ים H5650 that they may know וְיֵֽדְעוּ֙ H3045 and the service וַֽעֲבוֹדַ֖ת H5656 and the service וַֽעֲבוֹדַ֖ת H5656 of the kingdoms מַמְלְכ֥וֹת H4467 of the countries הָֽאֲרָצֽוֹת׃ H776 9 came up וַיַּ֨עַל H5927 So Shishak שִׁישַׁ֥ק H7895 king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 of Egypt מִצְרַיִם֮ H4714 עַל H5921 against Jerusalem LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 came בָּ֤אוּ H935 into the guard הָֽרָצִֽים׃ H7323 and fetched וּנְשָׂא֔וּם H5375 them and brought them again וֶֽהֱשִׁב֖וּם H7725 אֶל H413 chamber תָּ֥א H8372 into the guard הָֽרָצִֽים׃ H7323 12 And when he humbled וּבְהִכָּֽנְע֗וֹ H3665 turned שָׁ֤ב H7725 מִמֶּ֙נּוּ֙ H4480 himself the wrath אַף H639 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 וְלֹ֥א H3808 from him that he would not destroy לְהַשְׁחִ֖ית H7843 him altogether לְכָלָ֑ה H3617 וְגַם֙ H1571 and also in Judah בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה H3063 הָיָ֖ה H1961 things דְּבָרִ֥ים H1697 went well טוֹבִֽים׃ H2896 13 strengthened וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֞ק H2388 So king הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ H4428 Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֨ם H7346 himself in Jerusalem בִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֗ם H3389 and he reigned מָלַ֣ךְ H4427 כִּ֣י H3588 old בֶן H1121 and forty אַרְבָּעִ֣ים H705 was one וְאַחַ֣ת H259 years שָׁנָ֣ה׀ H8141 Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֨ם H7346 and he reigned מָלַ֣ךְ H4427 seventeen וּֽשֲׁבַ֨ע H7651 עֶשְׂרֵ֥ה H6240 years שָׁנָ֣ה׀ H8141 and he reigned מָלַ֣ךְ H4427 himself in Jerusalem בִּירֽוּשָׁלִַ֗ם H3389 the city הָ֠עִיר H5892 אֲשֶׁר H834 had chosen בָּחַ֨ר H977 which the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 to put לָשׂ֨וּם H7760 אֶת H853 his name וְשֵׁ֣ם H8034 שָׁם֙ H8033 מִכֹּל֙ H3605 out of all the tribes שִׁבְטֵ֣י H7626 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 his name וְשֵׁ֣ם H8034 there And his mother's אִמּ֔וֹ H517 was Naamah נַֽעֲמָ֖ה H5279 an Ammonitess הָֽעַמֹּנִֽית׃ H5985 14 And he did וַיַּ֖עַשׂ H6213 evil הָרָ֑ע H7451 כִּ֣י H3588 לֹ֤א H3808 because he prepared הֵכִין֙ H3559 not his heart לִבּ֔וֹ H3820 to seek לִדְר֖וֹשׁ H1875 אֶת H853 the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 15 Now the acts בְּדִבְרֵ֨י H1697 between Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֛ם H7346 first הָרִֽאשֹׁנִים֙ H7223 and last וְהָאֲ֣חַרוֹנִ֔ים H314 הֲלֹא H3808 הֵ֨ם H1992 are they not written כְּתוּבִ֜ים H3789 Now the acts בְּדִבְרֵ֨י H1697 of Shemaiah שְׁמַעְיָ֧ה H8098 the prophet הַנָּבִ֛יא H5030 and of Iddo וְעִדּ֥וֹ H5714 the seer הַֽחֹזֶ֖ה H2374 concerning genealogies לְהִתְיַחֵ֑שׂ H3187 And there were wars וּמִלְחֲמ֧וֹת H4421 between Rehoboam רְחַבְעָ֛ם H7346 and Jeroboam וְיָֽרָבְעָ֖ם H3379 כָּל H3605 continually הַיָּמִֽים׃ H3117 16 slept וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב H7901 And Rehoboam רְחַבְעָם֙ H7346 עִם H5973 with his fathers אֲבֹתָ֔יו H1 and was buried וַיִּקָּבֵ֖ר H6912 in the city בְּעִ֣יר H5892 of David דָּוִ֑יד H1732 reigned וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ H4427 and Abijah אֲבִיָּ֥ה H29 his son בְנ֖וֹ H1121 תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ H8478 [2
