וָשֵׁשׁ֙ H8337 of the reign לְמַלְכ֣וּת H4438 of Asa לְאָסָ֖א H609 came up עָלָ֞ה H5927 Baasha בַּעְשָׁ֤א H1201 king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ H3478 עַל H5921 against Judah יְהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 and built וַיִּ֖בֶן H1129 אֶת H853 Ramah הָֽרָמָ֑ה H7414 to the intent that לְבִלְתִּ֗י H1115 he might let תֵּ֚ת H5414 none go out יוֹצֵ֣א H3318 or come in וָבָ֔א H935 of Asa לְאָסָ֖א H609 king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 against Judah יְהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 2 brought out וַיֹּצֵ֨א H3318 Then Asa אָסָ֜א H609 silver כֶּ֣סֶף H3701 and gold וְזָהָ֗ב H2091 out of the treasures מֵאֹֽצְר֛וֹת H214 house וּבֵ֣ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 house וּבֵ֣ית H1004 and of the king's מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 and sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח H7971 אֶל H413 בֶּן H0 to Benhadad הֲדַד֙ H1130 and of the king's מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Syria אֲרָ֔ם H758 Benhadad הֲדַ֜ד H1130 אֶל H413 unto king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Asa אָסָ֗א H609 and sent וַ֠יִּשְׁלַח H7971 אֶת H853 the captains שָׂרֵ֨י H8269 of his armies הַֽחֲיָלִ֤ים H2428 אֲשֶׁר H834 לוֹ֙ H0 אֶל H413 against the cities עָרֵ֥י H5892 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 and they smote וַיַּכּוּ֙ H5221 אֶת H853 Ijon עִיּ֣וֹן H5859 וְאֶת H853 and Dan דָּ֔ן H1835 וְאֵ֖ת H853 אָבֵ֣ל H0 and Abelmaim מָ֑יִם H66 וְאֵ֥ת H853 כָּֽל H3605 and all the store מִסְכְּנ֖וֹת H4543 against the cities עָרֵ֥י H5892 of Naphtali נַפְתָּלִֽי׃ H5321 5 וַֽיְהִי֙ H1961 heard כִּשְׁמֹ֣עַ H8085 And it came to pass when Baasha בַּעְשָׁ֔א H1201 it that he left off וַיֶּחְדַּ֕ל H2308 building מִבְּנ֖וֹת H1129 אֶת H853 of Ramah הָֽרָמָ֑ה H7414 cease וַיַּשְׁבֵּ֖ת H7673 אֶת H853 and let his work מְלַאכְתּֽוֹ׃ H4399 6 Then Asa וְאָסָ֣א H609 the king הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 took לָקַח֙ H3947 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 and they carried away וַיִּשְׂא֞וּ H5375 אֶת H853 the stones אַבְנֵ֤י H68 of Ramah הָֽרָמָה֙ H7414 וְאֶת H853 and the timber עֵצֶ֔יהָ H6086 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 and he built וַיִּ֣בֶן H1129 thereof wherewith Baasha בַּעְשָׁ֑א H1201 and he built וַיִּ֣בֶן H1129 בָּהֶ֔ם H0 אֶת H853 therewith Geba גֶּ֖בַע H1387 וְאֶת H853 and Mizpah הַמִּצְפָּֽה׃ H4709 7 And at that time וּבָעֵ֣ת H6256 הַהִ֗יא H1931 came בָּ֚א H935 Hanani חֲנָ֣נִי H2607 the seer הָֽרֹאֶ֔ה H7200 אֶל H413 to Asa אָסָ֖א H609 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Judah יְהוּדָ֑ה H3063 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 אֵלָ֗יו H413 and not relied נִשְׁעַ֙נְתָּ֙ H8172 עַל H5921 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Syria אֲרָ֖ם H758 וְלֹ֤א H3808 and not relied נִשְׁעַ֙נְתָּ֙ H8172 עַל H5921 on the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ H430 עַל H5921 כֵּ֗ן H3651 escaped נִמְלַ֛ט H4422 therefore is the host חֵ֥יל H2428 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Syria אֲרָ֖ם H758 out of thine hand מִיָּדֶֽךָ׃ H3027 8 הֲלֹ֧א H3808 Were not the Ethiopians הַכּוּשִׁ֣ים H3569 and the Lubims וְהַלּוּבִ֗ים H3864 הָי֨וּ H1961 host לְחַ֧יִל׀ H2428 a huge לָרֹ֛ב H7230 chariots לְרֶ֥כֶב H5973 עַל H5921 זֹ֑את H2063 oppressed וַיְרַצֵּ֥ץ H7533 Then Asa אָסָ֛א H609 מִן H4480 some of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 the same time בָּעֵ֥ת H6256 הַהִֽיא׃ H1931 11 וְהִנֵּה֙ H2009 And behold the acts דִּבְרֵ֣י H1697 of Asa אָסָ֔א H609 first הָרִֽאשׁוֹנִ֖ים H7223 and last וְהָאַֽחֲרוֹנִ֑ים H314 הִנָּ֤ם H2005 lo they are written כְּתוּבִים֙ H3789 עַל H5921 in the book סֵ֣פֶר H5612 of the kings הַמְּלָכִ֔ים H4428 of Judah לִֽיהוּדָ֖ה H3063 and Israel וְיִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 12 was diseased וַיֶּֽחֱלֶ֣א H2456 And Asa אָסָ֡א H609 year בִּשְׁנַת֩ H8141 in the thirty שְׁלוֹשִׁ֨ים H7970 and ninth וָתֵ֤שַׁע H8672 of his reign לְמַלְכוּתוֹ֙ H4438 in his feet בְּרַגְלָ֔יו H7272 עַד H5704 was exceeding לְמַ֖עְלָה H4605 great yet in his disease בְּחָלְיוֹ֙ H2483 וְגַם H1571 great yet in his disease H5973 with his fathers אֲבֹתָ֑יו H1 and died וַיָּ֕מָת H4191 year בִּשְׁנַ֛ת H8141 and fortieth אַרְבָּעִ֥ים H705 in the one וְאַחַ֖ת H259 of his reign לְמָלְכֽוֹ׃ H4427 14 And they buried וַיִּקְבְּרֻ֣הוּ H6912 him in his own sepulchres בְקִבְרֹתָ֗יו H6913 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which he had made כָּֽרָה H3738 לוֹ֮ H0 for himself in the city בְּעִ֣יר H5892 of David דָּוִיד֒ H1732 and laid
