הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 officer וּפְקִיד֙ H6496 priest's כֹּהֵ֣ן H3548 and the high הָרֹ֔אשׁ H7218 and emptied וִיעָ֙רוּ֙ H6168 אֶת H853 the chest הָ֣אָר֔וֹן H727 and took וְיִשָּׂאֻ֖הוּ H5375 again וִֽישִׁיבֻ֣הוּ H7725 אֶל H413 it to his place מְקֹמ֑וֹ H4725 כֹּ֤ה H3541 Thus they did עָשׂוּ֙ H6213 by day בְּי֔וֹם H3117 by day בְּי֔וֹם H3117 and gathered וַיַּֽאַסְפוּ H622 money כֶ֖סֶף H3701 in abundance לָרֹֽב׃ H7230 12 gave וַיִּתְּנֵ֨הוּ H5414 And the king הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ H4428 and Jehoiada וִיהֽוֹיָדָ֗ע H3077 אֶל H413 it to such as did עוֹשֵׂה֙ H6213 the work מְלֶ֙אכֶת֙ H4399 of the service עֲבוֹדַ֣ת H5656 of the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 וַיִּֽהְי֤וּ H1961 and hired שֹֽׂכְרִים֙ H7936 masons חֹֽצְבִ֣ים H2672 and also such as wrought לְחָֽרָשֵׁ֤י H2796 to repair לְחַדֵּ֖שׁ H2318 of the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 וְ֠גַם H1571 and also such as wrought לְחָֽרָשֵׁ֤י H2796 iron בַרְזֶל֙ H1270 and brass וּנְחֹ֔שֶׁת H5178 to mend לְחַזֵּ֖ק H2388 אֶת H853 of the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 13 wrought עֹשֵׂ֣י H6213 wrought עֹשֵׂ֣י H6213 So the workmen לַמְּלָאכָ֖ה H4399 was וַתַּ֧עַל H5927 perfected אֲרוּכָ֛ה H724 So the workmen לַמְּלָאכָ֖ה H4399 by them בְּיָדָ֑ם H3027 and they set וַֽיַּעֲמִ֜ידוּ H5975 אֶת H853 the house בֵּ֧ית H1004 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים H430 עַל H5921 in his state מַתְכֻּנְתּ֖וֹ H4971 and strengthened וַֽיְאַמְּצֻֽהוּ׃ H553 14 And when they had finished וּֽכְכַלּוֹתָ֡ם H3615 it they brought הֵבִ֣יאוּ H935 before לִפְנֵי֩ H6440 the king הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ H4428 and Jehoiada יְהֽוֹיָדָֽע׃ H3077 אֶת H853 the rest שְׁאָ֣ר H7605 and silver וָכָ֑סֶף H3701 whereof were made וַיַּֽעֲשֵׂ֨הוּ H6213 and vessels וּכְלֵ֥י H3627 for the house בְּבֵית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 and vessels וּכְלֵ֥י H3627 to minister שָׁרֵ֔ת H8335 And they offered מַֽעֲלִ֨ים H5927 withal and spoons וְכַפּ֔וֹת H3709 and vessels וּכְלֵ֥י H3627 of gold זָהָ֖ב H2091 and silver וָכָ֑סֶף H3701 וַ֠יִּֽהְיוּ H1961 And they offered מַֽעֲלִ֨ים H5927 burnt offerings עֹל֤וֹת H5930 for the house בְּבֵית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 continually תָּמִ֔יד H8548 כֹּ֖ל H3605 all the days יְמֵ֥י H3117 and Jehoiada יְהֽוֹיָדָֽע׃ H3077 15 waxed old וַיִּזְקַ֧ן H2204 But Jehoiada יְהֽוֹיָדָ֛ע H3077 and was full וַיִּשְׂבַּ֥ע H7646 of days יָמִ֖ים H3117 when he died וַיָּמֹ֑ת H4191 old בֶּן H1121 an hundred מֵאָ֧ה H3967 and thirty וּשְׁלֹשִׁ֛ים H7970 years שָׁנָ֖ה H8141 was he when he died בְּמוֹתֽוֹ׃ H4194 16 And they buried וַיִּקְבְּרֻ֥הוּ H6912 him in the city בְעִיר H5892 of David דָּוִ֖יד H1732 עִם H5973 among the kings הַמְּלָכִ֑ים H4428 כִּֽי H3588 because he had done עָשָׂ֤ה H6213 good טוֹבָה֙ H2896 in Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 וְעִ֥ם H5973 both toward God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 and toward his house וּבֵיתֽוֹ׃ H1004 17 Now after וְאַֽחֲרֵ֥י H310 the death מוֹת֙ H4194 of Jehoiada יְה֣וֹיָדָ֔ע H3077 came בָּ֚אוּ H935 the princes שָׂרֵ֣י H8269 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 and made obeisance וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲו֖וּ H7812 Then the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 אָ֛ז H227 hearkened שָׁמַ֥ע H8085 Then the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 אֲלֵיהֶֽם׃ H413 18 And they left וַיַּֽעַזְב֗וּ H5800 אֶת H853 the house בֵּ֤ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of their fathers אֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֔ם H1 and served וַיַּֽעַבְד֥וּ H5647 אֶת H853 groves הָֽאֲשֵׁרִ֖ים H842 וְאֶת H853 and idols הָֽעֲצַבִּ֑ים H6091 וַֽיְהִי H1961 and wrath קֶ֗צֶף H7110 עַל H5921 came upon Judah יְהוּדָה֙ H3063 and Jerusalem וִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 for this their trespass בְּאַשְׁמָתָ֖ם H819 זֹֽאת׃ H2063 19 Yet he sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח H7971 בָּהֶם֙ H0 prophets נְבִאִ֔ים H5030 to them to bring them again לַֽהֲשִׁיבָ֖ם H7725 אֶל H413 unto the LORD יְהוָ֑ה H3068 and they testified וַיָּעִ֥ידוּ H5749 בָ֖ם H0 וְלֹ֥א H3808 against them but they would not give ear הֶֽאֱזִֽינוּ׃ H238 20 And the Spirit וְר֣וּחַ H7307 God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים H430 came לָֽבְשָׁה֙ H3847 אֶת H853 upon Zechariah זְכַרְיָה֙ H2148 the son בֶּן H1121 of Jehoiada יְהֽוֹיָדָ֣ע H3077 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֔ן H3548 which stood וַֽיַּעֲמֹ֖ד H5975 מֵעַ֣ל H5921 above the people לָעָ֑ם H5971 and said אָמַ֣ר H559 לָהֶ֜ם H0 כֹּ֣ה׀ H3541 and said אָמַ֣ר H559 God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֗ים H430 לָמָה֩ H4100 אַתֶּ֨ם H859 Why transgress עֹֽבְרִ֜ים H5674 אֶת H853 ye the commandments מִצְוֹ֤ת H4687 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 וְלֹ֣א H3808 that ye cannot prosper תַצְלִ֔יחוּ H6743 כִּֽי H3588 because ye have forsaken וַיַּֽעֲזֹ֥ב H5800 אֶת H853 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 because ye have forsaken וַיַּֽעֲזֹ֥ב H5800 אֶתְכֶֽם׃ H853 21 And they conspired וַיִּקְשְׁר֣וּ H7194 עָלָ֔יו H5921 against him and stoned וַיִּרְגְּמֻ֥הוּ H7275 him with stones אֶ֖בֶן H68 at the commandment בְּמִצְוַ֣ת H4687 of the king הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 in the court בַּֽחֲצַ֖ר H2691 of the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 22 וְלֹֽא H3808 remembered זָכַ֞ר H2142 Thus Joash יוֹאָ֣שׁ H3101 the king הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 not the kindness הַחֶ֙סֶד֙ H2617 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 had done עָשָׂ֜ה H6213 which Jehoiada יְהֽוֹיָדָ֤ע H3077 his father אָבִיו֙ H1 עִמּ֔וֹ H5973 to him but slew וַֽיַּהֲרֹ֖ג H2026 אֶת H853 his son בְּנ֑וֹ H1121 וּכְמוֹת֣וֹ H4191 he said אָמַ֔ר H559 look יֵ֥רֶא H7200 The LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 upon it and require וְיִדְרֹֽשׁ׃ H1875 23 וַיְהִ֣י׀ H1961 And it came to pass at the end לִתְקוּפַ֣ת H8622 of the year הַשָּׁנָ֗ה H8141 came up עָלָ֣ה H5927 עָלָיו֮ H5921 that the host חֵ֣יל H2428 of Syria אֲרָם֒ H758 against him and they came וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ H935 אֶל H413 to Judah יְהוּדָה֙ H3063 and Jerusalem וִיר֣וּשָׁלִַ֔ם H3389 and destroyed וַיַּשְׁחִ֛יתוּ H7843 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the princes שָׂרֵ֥י H8269 from among the people מֵעָ֑ם H5971 from among the people מֵעָ֑ם H5971 וְכָל H3605 all the spoil שְׁלָלָ֥ם H7998 and sent שִׁלְּח֖וּ H7971 of them unto the king לְמֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Damascus דַּרְמָֽשֶׂק׃ H1834 24 כִּי֩ H3588 with a small בְמִצְעַ֨ר H4705 company of men אֲנָשִׁ֜ים H582 came בָּ֣אוּ׀ H935 For the army חַ֙יִל֙ H2428 of the Syrians אֲרָ֗ם H758 and the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 delivered נָתַ֨ן H5414 into their hand בְּיָדָ֥ם H3027 For the army חַ֙יִל֙ H2428 great לָרֹ֣ב H7230 a very מְאֹ֔ד H3966 כִּ֣י H3588 because they had forsaken עָֽזְב֔וּ H5800 אֶת H853 and the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of their fathers אֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֑ם H1 וְאֶת H854 against Joash יוֹאָ֖שׁ H3101 So they executed עָשׂ֥וּ H6213 judgment שְׁפָטִֽים׃ H8201 25 וּבְלֶכְתָּ֣ם H1980 מִמֶּ֗נּוּ H4480 כִּֽי H3588 from him (for they left עָזְב֣וּ H5800 אֹתוֹ֮ H853 diseases בְּמַחֲלֻיִ֣ים H4251 him in great רַבִּים֒ H7227 conspired הִתְקַשְּׁר֨וּ H7194 עָלָ֜יו H5921 his own servants עֲבָדָ֗יו H5650 against him for the blood בִּדְמֵי֙ H1818 of the sons בְּנֵי֙ H1121 of Jehoiada יְהֽוֹיָדָ֣ע H3077 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֔ן H3548 and slew וַיַּֽהַרְגֻ֥הוּ H2026 עַל H5921 him on his bed מִטָּת֖וֹ H4296 and he died וַיָּמֹ֑ת H4191 and they buried קְבָרֻ֖הוּ H6912 him in the city בְּעִ֣יר H5892 of David דָּוִ֔יד H1732 וְלֹ֥א H3808 and they buried קְבָרֻ֖הוּ H6912 him not in the sepulchres בְּקִבְר֥וֹת H6913 of the kings הַמְּלָכִֽים׃ H4428 26 וְאֵ֖לֶּה H428 And these are they that conspired הַמִּתְקַשְּׁרִ֣ים H7194 עָלָ֑יו H5921 against him Zabad זָבָ֗ד H2066 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shimeath שִׁמְעָת֙ H8100 an Ammonitess הָֽעַמּוֹנִ֔ית H5985 and Jehozabad וִיה֣וֹזָבָ֔ד H3075 the son בֶּן H1121 of Shimrith שִׁמְרִ֖ית H8116 a Moabitess הַמּֽוֹאָבִֽית׃ H4125 27 Now concerning his sons בְנ֖וֹ H1121 וִ֧רֶב H7230 of the burdens הַמַּשָּׂ֣א H4853 עָלָ֗יו H5921 laid upon him and the repairing וִיסוֹד֙ H3247 of the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430
