the captives הַשִּׁבְיָה֙ H7633 הֵ֔נָּה H2008 כִּי֩ H3588 and to our trespass אַשְׁמָה֙ H819 against the LORD יְהוָ֤ה H3068 עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ H5921 אַתֶּ֣ם H859 And said אֹֽמְרִ֔ים H559 to add לְהֹסִ֥יף H3254 עַל H5921 more to our sins חַטֹּאתֵ֖נוּ H2403 וְעַל H5921 and to our trespass אַשְׁמָה֙ H819 כִּֽי H3588 is great רַבָּ֤ה H7227 and to our trespass אַשְׁמָה֙ H819 לָ֔נוּ H0 and there is fierce וַֽחֲר֥וֹן H2740 wrath אָ֖ף H639 עַל H5921 against Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 14 left וַיַּֽעֲזֹ֣ב H5800 So the armed men הֶֽחָל֗וּץ H2502 אֶת H853 the captives הַשִּׁבְיָה֙ H7633 וְאֶת H853 and the spoil הַבִּזָּ֔ה H961 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the princes הַשָּׂרִ֖ים H8269 וְכָל H3605 and all the congregation הַקָּהָֽל׃ H6951 15 rose up וַיָּקֻ֣מוּ H6965 הָֽאֲנָשִׁים֩ H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 which were expressed נִקְּב֨וּ H5344 by name בְשֵׁמ֜וֹת H8034 and took וַיַּֽחֲזִ֣יקוּ H2388 the captives בַשִּׁבְיָ֗ה H7633 וְכָֽל H3605 all that were naked מַעֲרֻמֵּיהֶם֮ H4636 among them and arrayed וַיַּלְבִּשֻׁ֣ם H3847 מִן H4480 and with the spoil הַשָּׁלָל֒ H7998 among them and arrayed וַיַּלְבִּשֻׁ֣ם H3847 them and shod וַ֠יַּנְעִלוּם H5274 them and gave them to eat וַיַּֽאֲכִל֨וּם H398 and H7628 18 The Philistines וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֣ים H6430 also had invaded פָּֽשְׁט֗וּ H6584 the cities בְּעָרֵ֨י H5892 of the low country הַשְּׁפֵלָ֣ה H8219 and of the south וְהַנֶּגֶב֮ H5045 of Judah לִֽיהוּדָה֒ H3063 and had taken וַֽ֠יִּלְכְּדוּ H3920 אֶת H853 בֵּֽית H0 Bethshemesh שֶׁ֨מֶשׁ H1053 וְאֶת H853 and Ajalon אַיָּל֜וֹן H357 וְאֶת H853 and Gederoth הַגְּדֵר֗וֹת H1450 וְאֶת H853 and Shocho שׂוֹכ֤וֹ H7755 also and the villages בְּנֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 וְאֶת H853 thereof and Timnah תִּמְנָ֣ה H8553 also and the villages בְּנֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 וְאֶת H853 thereof Gimzo גִּמְז֖וֹ H1579 וְאֶת H853 also and the villages בְּנֹתֶ֑יהָ H1323 thereof and they dwelt וַיֵּֽשְׁב֖וּ H3427 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 19 כִּֽי H3588 brought הִכְנִ֤יעַ H3665 For the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 אֶת H853 Judah בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה H3063 בַּֽעֲב֖וּר H5668 because of Ahaz אָחָ֣ז H271 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 כִּ֤י H3588 for he made הִפְרִ֙יעַ֙ H6544 Judah בִּֽיהוּדָ֔ה H3063 and transgressed וּמָע֥וֹל H4603 sore מַ֖עַל H4604 For the LORD בַּֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 20 came וַיָּבֹ֣א H935 עָלָ֔יו H5921 תִּלְּגַ֥ת H0 And Tilgathpilneser פִּלְנְאֶ֖סֶר H8407 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Assyria אַשּׁ֑וּר H804 unto him and distressed וַיָּ֥צַר H6696 ל֖וֹ H0 וְלֹ֥א H3808 him but strengthened חֲזָקֽוֹ׃ H2388 21 כִּֽי H3588 took away a portion חָלַ֤ק H2505 For Ahaz אָחָז֙ H271 אֶת H853 and out of the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 וְאֶת H853 and out of the house בֵּ֥ית H1004 it unto the king לְמֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 and of the princes וְהַשָּׂרִ֑ים H8269 and gave וַיִּתֵּן֙ H5414 it unto the king לְמֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Assyria אַשּׁ֔וּר H804 וְלֹ֥א H3808 but he helped לְעֶזְרָ֖ה H5833 לֽוֹ׃ H0 22 And in the time וּבְעֵת֙ H6256 of his distress הָצֵ֣ר H6887 ל֔וֹ H0 yet more וַיּ֖וֹסֶף H3254 did he trespass לִמְע֣וֹל H4603 against the LORD בַּֽיהוָ֑ה H3068 ה֖וּא H1931 this is that king הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ H4428 Ahaz אָחָֽז׃ H271 23 For he sacrificed אֲזַבֵּ֖חַ H2076 Because the gods אֱלֹהֵ֤י H430 of Damascus דַרְמֶשֶׂק֮ H1834 which smote הַמַּכִּ֣ים H5221 בּוֹ֒ H0 him and he said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 כִּ֠י H3588 Because the gods אֱלֹהֵ֤י H430 of the kings מַלְכֵֽי H4428 of Syria אֲרָם֙ H758 הֵ֚ם H1992 help pieces וַיְקַצֵּץ֙ H7112 אֶת H853 the vessels כְּלֵ֣י H3627 of the house בֵּית H1004 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 and shut up וַיִּסְגֹּ֖ר H5462 אֶת H853 the doors דַּלְת֣וֹת H1817 of the house בֵּית
