But did וַיַּ֥עַשׂ H6213 that which was evil הָרַ֖ע H7451 in the sight בְּעֵינֵ֣י H5869 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 like unto the abominations כְּתֽוֹעֲבוֹת֙ H8441 of the heathen הַגּוֹיִ֔ם H1471 הַסֶּ֖מֶל H5566 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which he had made עָשָׂ֑ה H6213 In this house בַּבַּ֨יִת H1004 of God אֱלֹהִים֙ H430 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 had said אָמַ֤ר H559 of God אֱלֹהִים֙ H430 אֶל H413 to David דָּוִיד֙ H1732 וְאֶל H413 and to Solomon שְׁלֹמֹ֣ה H8010 his son בְנ֔וֹ H1121 In this house בַּבַּ֨יִת H1004 הַזֶּ֜ה H2088 and in Jerusalem וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֗ם H3389 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 which I have chosen בָּחַ֙רְתִּי֙ H977 מִכֹּל֙ H3605 before all the tribes שִׁבְטֵ֣י H7626 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 And he set אָשִׂ֥ים H7760 אֶת H853 my name שְׁמִ֖י H8034 for ever לְעֵילֽוֹם׃ H5865 8 וְלֹ֣א H3808 I have commanded צִוִּיתִ֔ים H6680 לְכָל H3605 them according to the whole law הַתּוֹרָ֛ה H8451 and the statutes וְהַֽחֻקִּ֥ים H2706 and the ordinances וְהַמִּשְׁפָּטִ֖ים H4941 by the hand בְּיַד H3027 of Moses מֹשֶֽׁה׃ H4872 9 made וַיֶּ֣תַע H8582 So Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה H4519 אֶת H853 Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 and the inhabitants וְיֹֽשְׁבֵ֣י H3427 of Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 and to do לַֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת H6213 worse רָ֔ע H7451 מִן H4480 than the heathen הַ֨גּוֹיִ֔ם H1471 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 had destroyed הִשְׁמִ֣יד H8045 whom the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 before מִפְּנֵ֖י H6440 the children בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 10 spake וַיְדַבֵּ֧ר H1696 And the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 אֶל H413 to Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֥ה H4519 וְאֶל H413 and to his people עַמּ֖וֹ H5971 וְלֹ֥א H3808 but they would not hearken הִקְשִֽׁיבוּ׃ H7181 11 brought וַיָּבֵ֨א H935 Wherefore the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 עֲלֵיהֶ֗ם H5921 אֶת H853 upon them the captains of שָׂרֵ֤י H8269 the host of הַצָּבָא֙ H6635 אֲשֶׁר֙ H834 the king לְמֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Assyria אַשּׁ֔וּר H804 which took וַיִּלְכְּד֥וּ H3920 אֶת H853 Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֖ה H4519 among the thorns בַּֽחֹחִ֑ים H2336 and bound him וַיַּֽאַסְרֻ֙הוּ֙ H631 with fetters בַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִם H5178 וַיּֽוֹלִיכֻ֖הוּ H1980 him to Babylon בָּבֶֽלָה׃ H894 12 And when he was in affliction וּכְהָצֵ֣ר H6887 ל֔וֹ H0 he besought חִלָּ֕ה H2470 אֶת H853 before מִלִּפְנֵ֖י H6440 the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 his God אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 and humbled וַיִּכָּנַ֣ע H3665 himself greatly מְאֹ֔ד H3966 before מִלִּפְנֵ֖י H6440 his God אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 of his fathers אֲבֹתָֽיו׃ H1 13 And prayed וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֣ל H6419 אֵלָ֗יו H413 unto him and he was intreated וַיֵּעָ֤תֶר H6279 לוֹ֙ H0 of him and heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע H8085 his supplication תְּחִנָּת֔וֹ H8467 and brought him again וַיְשִׁיבֵ֥הוּ H7725 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִַ֖ם H3389 into his kingdom לְמַלְכוּת֑וֹ H4438 knew וַיֵּ֣דַע H3045 Then Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁ֔ה H4519 כִּ֥י H3588 that the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 ה֥וּא H1931 he was God הָֽאֱלֹהִֽים׃ H430 14 Now after this וְאַֽחֲרֵי H310 כֵ֡ן H3651 he built בָּנָ֣ה H1129 a wall חוֹמָ֣ה H2346 without חִֽיצוֹנָ֣ה׀ H2435 cities הֶֽעָרִ֥ים H5892 of David דָּוִ֡יד H1732 on the west side מַעְרָבָה֩ H4628 of Gihon לְגִיח֨וֹן H1521 in the valley בַּנַּ֜חַל H5158 even to the entering in וְלָב֨וֹא H935 gate בְשַׁ֤עַר H8179 at the fish הַדָּגִים֙ H1709 and compassed וְסָבַ֣ב H5437 about Ophel לָעֹ֔פֶל H6077 and raised it up וַיַּגְבִּיהֶ֖הָ H1361 a very great height מְאֹ֑ד H3966 and put וַיָּ֧שֶׂם H7760 captains שָֽׂרֵי H8269 of war חַ֛יִל H2428 בְּכָל H3605 cities הֶֽעָרִ֥ים H5892 in all the fenced הַבְּצֻר֖וֹת H1219 of Judah בִּֽיהוּדָֽה׃ H3063 15 And he took away וַ֠יָּסַר H5493 אֶת H853 gods אֱלֹהֵ֨י H430 the strange הַנֵּכָ֤ר H5236 וְאֶת H853 and the idol הַסֶּ֙מֶל֙ H5566 of the house בֵּית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 וְכָל H3605 and all the altars הַֽמִּזְבְּח֗וֹת H4196 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that he had built בָּנָ֛ה H1129 in the mount בְּהַ֥ר H2022 of the house בֵּית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 and in Jerusalem וּבִירֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 and cast וַיַּשְׁלֵ֖ךְ H7993 them out ח֥וּצָה H2351 of the city לָעִֽיר׃ H5892 16 And he repaired וַיִּ֙כֶן֙ H1129 אֶת H853 the altar מִזְבַּ֣ח H4196 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 and sacrificed וַיִּזְבַּ֣ח H2076 עָלָ֔יו H5921 offerings זִבְחֵ֥י H2077 thereon peace שְׁלָמִ֖ים H8002 and thank offerings וְתוֹדָ֑ה H8426 and commanded וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 Judah לִֽיהוּדָ֔ה H3063 to serve לַֽעֲב֕וֹד H5647 אֶת H853 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 17 Nevertheless אֲבָל֙ H61 ע֣וֹד H5750 the people הָעָ֔ם H5971 did sacrifice זֹֽבְחִ֖ים H2076 still in the high places בַּבָּמ֑וֹת H1116 רַ֖ק H7535 yet unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֥ה H3068 their God אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶֽם׃ H430 18 Now the rest וְיֶ֨תֶר H3499 and the words דִּבְרֵ֖י H1697 of Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁה֮ H4519 and his prayer וּתְפִלָּת֣וֹ H8605 אֶל H413 God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 and the words דִּבְרֵ֖י H1697 of the seers הַֽחֹזִ֔ים H2374 that spake הַֽמְדַבְּרִ֣ים H1696 אֵלָ֔יו H413 to him in the name בְּשֵׁ֥ם H8034 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֣י H430 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 הִנָּ֕ם H2005 עַל H5921 and the words דִּבְרֵ֖י H1697 of the kings מַלְכֵ֥י H4428 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 19 His prayer וּתְפִלָּת֣וֹ H8605 also and how God was intreated וְהֵֽעָתֶר H6279 לוֹ֮ H0 וְכָל H3605 of him and all his sin חַטָּאת֣וֹ H2403 and his trespass וּמַעְלוֹ֒ H4604 and the places וְהַמְּקֹמ֗וֹת H4725 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 wherein he built בָּנָ֨ה H1129 בָהֶ֤ם H0 high places בָּמוֹת֙ H1116 and set up וְהֶֽעֱמִיד֙ H5975 groves הָֽאֲשֵׁרִ֣ים H842 and graven images וְהַפְּסִלִ֔ים H6456 before לִפְנֵ֖י H6440 he was humbled הִכָּֽנְע֑וֹ H3665 הִנָּ֣ם H2005 behold they are written כְּתוּבִ֔ים H3789 עַ֖ל H5921 among the sayings דִּבְרֵ֥י H1697 of the seers חוֹזָֽי׃ H2374 20 slept וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב H7901 So Manasseh מְנַשֶּׁה֙ H4519 עִם H5973 with his fathers אֲבֹתָ֔יו H1 and they buried וַֽיִּקְבְּרֻ֖הוּ H6912 him in his own house בֵּית֑וֹ H1004 reigned וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ H4427 and Amon אָמ֥וֹן H526 his son בְּנ֖וֹ H1121 תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ H8478 21 old בֶּן H1121 and twenty עֶשְׂרִ֧ים H6242 two וּשְׁתַּ֣יִם H8147 years שָׁנִ֔ים H8141 Amon אָמ֣וֹן
