that which was evil הָרַ֔ע H7451 in the sight בְּעֵינֵ֖י H5869 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 his God אֱלֹהָ֑יו H430 לֹ֣א H3808 and humbled נִכְנַ֗ע H3665 not himself before מִלִּפְנֵ֛י H6440 Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֥הוּ H3414 the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 speaking from the mouth מִפִּ֥י H6310 of the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 13 וְ֠גַם H1571 against king בַּמֶּ֤לֶךְ H4428 Nebuchadnezzar נְבֽוּכַדְנֶאצַּר֙ H5019 And he also rebelled מָרָ֔ד H4775 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 who had made him swear הִשְׁבִּיע֖וֹ H7650 God אֱלֹהֵ֥י H430 but he stiffened וַיֶּ֤קֶשׁ H7185 אֶת H853 his neck עָרְפּוֹ֙ H6203 and hardened וַיְאַמֵּ֣ץ שָׂרֵ֨י H8269 of the priests הַכֹּֽהֲנִ֤ים H3548 and the people וְהָעָם֙ H5971 much הִרְבּ֣וּ H7235 transgressed לִמְעָול H4603 very מַ֔עַל H4604 כְּכֹ֖ל H3605 after all the abominations תֹּֽעֲב֣וֹת H8441 of the heathen הַגּוֹיִ֑ם H1471 and polluted וַֽיְטַמְּאוּ֙ H2930 אֶת H853 the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which he had hallowed הִקְדִּ֖ישׁ H6942 in Jerusalem בִּירֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ H3389 15 and sending וְשָׁל֑וֹחַ H7971 And the LORD יְהוָה֩ H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֨י H430 of their fathers אֲבֽוֹתֵיהֶ֧ם H1 עֲלֵיהֶ֛ם H5921 to them by בְּיַ֥ד H3027 his messengers מַלְאָכָ֖יו H4397 rising up betimes הַשְׁכֵּ֣ם H7925 and sending וְשָׁל֑וֹחַ H7971 כִּֽי H3588 because he had compassion חָמַ֥ל H2550 עַל H5921 on his people עַמּ֖וֹ H5971 וְעַל H5921 and on his dwelling מְעוֹנֽוֹ׃ H4583 16 וַיִּֽהְי֤וּ H1961 But they mocked מַלְעִבִים֙ H3931 the messengers בְּמַלְאֲכֵ֣י H4397 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 and despised וּבוֹזִ֣ים H959 his words דְּבָרָ֔יו H1697 and misused וּמִֽתַּעְתְּעִ֖ים H8591 his prophets בִּנְבִאָ֑יו H5030 עַ֠ד H5704 arose עֲל֧וֹת H5927 until the wrath חֲמַת H2534 of the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 against his people בְּעַמּ֖וֹ H5971 עַד H5704 H5921 their young men בָּח֥וּר H970 or maiden וּבְתוּלָ֖ה H1330 old man זָקֵ֣ן H2205 or him that stooped for age וְיָשֵׁ֑שׁ H3486 הַכֹּ֖ל H3605 he gave נָתַ֥ן H5414 them all into his hand בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ H3027 18 וְ֠כֹל H3605 And all the vessels כְּלֵ֞י H3627 of the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִים֙ H430 great הַגְּדֹלִ֣ים H1419 and small וְהַקְּטַנִּ֔ים H6996 and the treasures וְאֹֽצְר֥וֹת H214 of the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 and the treasures וְאֹֽצְר֥וֹת H214 of the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 and of his princes וְשָׂרָ֑יו H8269 הַכֹּ֖ל H3605 all these he brought הֵבִ֥יא H935 to Babylon בָבֶֽל׃ H894 19 And they burnt שָֽׂרְפ֣וּ H8313 אֶת H853 the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 and brake down וַֽיְנַתְּצ֔וּ H5422 אֵ֖ת H853 the wall חוֹמַ֣ת H2346 of Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 וְכָל H3605 all the palaces אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֙יהָ֙ H759 And they burnt שָֽׂרְפ֣וּ H8313 thereof with fire בָאֵ֔שׁ H784 וְכָל H3605 vessels כְּלֵ֥י H3627 all the goodly מַֽחֲמַדֶּ֖יהָ H4261 and destroyed לְהַשְׁחִֽית׃ H7843 20 carried he away וַיֶּ֛גֶל H1540 And them that had escaped הַשְּׁאֵרִ֥ית H7611 מִן H4480 from the sword הַחֶ֖רֶב H2719 אֶל H413 to Babylon בָּבֶ֑ל H894 H6539 21 To fulfil לְמַלֹּ֖אות H4390 the word דְּבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 by the mouth בְּפִ֣י H6310 of Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֔הוּ H3414 עַד H5704 had enjoyed רָֽצְתָ֥ה H7521 until the land הָאָ֖רֶץ H776 אֶת H853 her sabbaths שַׁבְּתוֹתֶ֑יהָ H7676 כָּל H3605 for as long as יְמֵ֤י H3117 she lay desolate הָשַּׁמָּה֙ H8074 she kept sabbath שָׁבָ֔תָה H7673 To fulfil לְמַלֹּ֖אות H4390 threescore and ten שִׁבְעִ֥ים H7657 years שָׁנָֽה׃ H8141 22 year וּבִשְׁנַ֣ת H8141 Now in the first אַחַ֗ת H259 of Cyrus כּ֣וֹרֶשׁ H3566 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Persia פָּרַ֔ס H6539 might be accomplished לִכְל֥וֹת H3615 that the word דְּבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 spoken by the mouth בְּפִ֣י H6310 of Jeremiah יִרְמְיָ֑הוּ H3414 stirred up הֵעִ֣יר H5782 of the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 אֶת H853 the spirit ר֙וּחַ֙ H7307 of Cyrus כּ֣וֹרֶשׁ H3566 king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Persia פָּרַ֔ס H6539 that he made a proclamation וַיַּֽעֲבֶר H5674 קוֹל֙ H6963 בְּכָל H3605 throughout all his kingdom מַלְכוּת֔וֹ H4438 וְגַם H1571 and put it also in writing בְּמִכְתָּ֖ב H4385 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 23 כּֽה H3541 Thus saith אָמַ֞ר H559 Cyrus כּ֣וֹרֶשׁ׀ H3566 king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Persia פָּרַ֗ס H6539
