as oft מִדֵּ֣י H1767 as he passed by עָבְר֔וֹ H5674 he turned יָסֻ֥ר H5493 שָׁ֖מָּה H8033 him to eat לֶֽאֱכָל H398 bread לָֽחֶם׃ H3899 9 And she said וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 man אִ֥ישׁ H376 הִנֵּה H2009 נָ֣א H4994 Behold now I perceive יָדַ֔עְתִּי H3045 כִּ֛י H3588 man אִ֥ישׁ H376 of God אֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 that this is an holy קָד֣וֹשׁ H6918 ה֑וּא H1931 which passeth עֹבֵ֥ר H5674 עָלֵ֖ינוּ H5921 by H5493 אֶל H413 into the chamber הָֽעֲלִיָּ֖ה H5944 and lay וַיִּשְׁכַּב H7901 שָֽׁמָּה׃ H8033 12 And he said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 to Gehazi גֵּיחֲזִ֣י H1522 his servant נַֽעֲר֔וֹ H5288 And when he had called וַיִּקְרָא H7121 this Shunammite לַשּֽׁוּנַמִּ֣ית H7767 הַזֹּ֑את H2063 And when he had called וַיִּקְרָא H7121 לָ֔הּ H0 her she stood וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד H5975 before לְפָנָֽיו׃ H6440 13 And he said וַתֹּ֕אמֶר H559 ל֗וֹ H0 And he said וַתֹּ֕אמֶר H559 נָ֣א H4994 אֵלֶיהָ֮ H413 הִנֵּ֣ה H2009 now unto her Behold thou hast been careful חָרַ֣דְתְּ׀ H2729 אֵלֵינוּ֮ H413 אֶת H854 כָּל H3605 for us with all this care הַֽחֲרָדָ֣ה H2731 הַזֹּאת֒ H2063 מֶ֚ה H4100 what is to be done לַֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת H6213 לָ֔ךְ H0 for thee wouldest הֲיֵ֤שׁ H3426 thou be spoken לְדַבֶּר H1696 לָךְ֙ H0 אֶל H413 for to the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 א֖וֹ H176 אֶל H413 or to the captain שַׂ֣ר H8269 of the host הַצָּבָ֑א H6635 And he said וַתֹּ֕אמֶר H559 among בְּת֥וֹךְ H8432 mine own people עַמִּ֖י H5971 אָֽנֹכִ֥י H595 I dwell יֹשָֽׁבֶת׃ H3427 14 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 וּמֶ֖ה H4100 What then is to be done לַֽעֲשׂ֣וֹת H6213 לָ֑הּ H0 And he said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 for her And Gehazi גֵּֽיחֲזִ֗י H1522 Verily אֲבָ֛ל H61 she hath no child בֵּ֥ן H1121 אֵֽין H369 לָ֖הּ H0 and her husband וְאִישָׁ֥הּ H376 is old זָקֵֽן׃ H2204 15 And he said וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 Call וַיִּקְרָא H7121 לָ֑הּ H0 Call וַיִּקְרָא H7121 לָ֔הּ H0 her she stood וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד H5975 in the door בַּפָּֽתַח׃ H6607 16 And he said וַתֹּ֗אמֶר H559 About this season לַמּוֹעֵ֤ד H4150 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 according to the time כָּעֵ֣ת H6256 of life חַיָּ֔ה H2416 אַ֖תְּי H859 thou shalt embrace חֹבֶ֣קֶת H2263 a son בֵּ֑ן H1121 And he said וַתֹּ֗אמֶר H559 אַל H408 Nay my lord אֲדֹנִי֙ H113 thou man אִ֣ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 אַל H408 do not lie תְּכַזֵּ֖ב H3576 unto thine handmaid בְּשִׁפְחָתֶֽךָ׃ H8198 17 conceived וַתַּ֥הַר H2029 And the woman הָֽאִשָּׁ֖ה H802 and bare וַתֵּ֣לֶד H3205 a son בֵּ֑ן H1121 at that season לַמּוֹעֵ֤ד H4150 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 unto her according to the time כָּעֵ֣ת H6256 of life חַיָּ֔ה H2416 אֲשֶׁר H834 had said דִּבֶּ֥ר H1696 אֵלֶ֖יהָ H413 that Elisha אֱלִישָֽׁע׃ H477 18 was grown וַיִּגְדַּ֖ל H1431 And when the child הַיָּ֑לֶד H3206 וַיְהִ֣י H1961 it fell on a day הַיּ֔וֹם H3117 that he went out וַיֵּצֵ֥א H3318 אֶל H413 to his father אָבִ֖יו H1 אֶל H413 to the reapers הַקֹּֽצְרִֽים׃ H7114 19 And he said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 unto his father אָבִ֖יו H1 My head רֹאשִׁ֑י H7218 My head רֹאשִׁ֑י H7218 And he said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 to a lad הַנַּ֔עַר H5288 Carry שָׂאֵ֖הוּ H5375 אֶל H413 him to his mother אִמּֽוֹ׃ H517 20 And when he had taken וַיִּ֨שָּׂאֵ֔הוּ H5375 him and brought וַיְבִיאֵ֖הוּ H935 אֶל H413 him to his mother אִמּ֑וֹ H517 he sat וַיֵּ֧שֶׁב H3427 עַל H5921 on her knees בִּרְכֶּ֛יהָ H1290 עַד H5704 till noon הַֽצָּהֳרַ֖יִם H6672 and then died וַיָּמֹֽת׃ H4191 21 And she went up וַתַּ֙עַל֙ H5927 and laid וַתַּשְׁכִּבֵ֔הוּ H7901 עַל H5921 him on the bed מִטַּ֖ת H4296 of the man אִ֣ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים H430 and shut וַתִּסְגֹּ֥ר H5462 בַּֽעֲד֖וֹ H1157 the door upon him and went out וַתֵּצֵֽא׃ H3318 22 And she called וַתִּקְרָא֮ H7121 אֶל H413 to the man אִ֥ישׁ H376 and said וַתֹּ֗אמֶר H559 Send שִׁלְחָ֨ה H7971 נָ֥א H4994 לִי֙ H0 and one וְאַחַ֖ת H259 מִן H4480 of the young men הַנְּעָרִ֔ים H5288 and one וְאַחַ֖ת H259 of the asses הָֽאֲתֹנ֑וֹת H860 that I may run וְאָר֛וּצָה H7323 עַד H5704 to the man אִ֥ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 and come again וְאָשֽׁוּבָה׃ H7725 23 And he said וַתֹּ֖אמֶר H559 מַ֠דּוּעַ H4069 אַ֣תְּי H859 Wherefore wilt thou go הֹלֶ֤כֶתי H1980 אֵלָיו֙ H413 to him to day הַיּ֔וֹם H3117 לֹא H3808 it is neither new moon חֹ֖דֶשׁ H2320 וְלֹ֣א H3808 nor sabbath שַׁבָּ֑ת H7676 And he said וַתֹּ֖אמֶר H559 It shall be well שָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 24 Then she saddled וַֽתַּחֲבֹשׁ֙ H2280 an ass הָֽאָת֔וֹן H860 and said אָמַ֥רְתִּי H559 אֶֽל H413 to her servant נַעֲרָ֖הּ H5288 Drive נְהַ֣ג H5090 וָלֵ֑ךְ H1980 אַל H408 slack תַּעֲצָר H6113 לִ֣י H0 not thy riding לִרְכֹּ֔ב H7392 כִּ֖י H3588 אִם H518 and said אָמַ֥רְתִּי H559 לָֽךְ׃ H0 25 וַתֵּ֗לֶךְ H1980 and came וַתָּבֹ֛א H935 אֶל H413 And it came to pass when the man אִישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֤ים H430 אֶל H413 to mount הַ֣ר H2022 Carmel הַכַּרְמֶ֑ל H3760 וַ֠יְהִי H1961 saw her afar off כִּרְא֨וֹת H7200 And it came to pass when the man אִישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֤ים H430 אֹתָהּ֙ H853 מִנֶּ֔גֶד H5048 he said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 to Gehazi גֵּֽיחֲזִ֣י H1522 his servant נַֽעֲר֔וֹ H5288 הִנֵּ֖ה H2009 Behold yonder is that Shunammite הַשּֽׁוּנַמִּ֥ית H7767 that הַלָּֽז׃ H1975 26 עַתָּה֮ H6258 Run רֽוּץ H7323 נָ֣א H4994 now I pray thee to meet לִקְרָאתָהּ֒ H7125 And she answered וַתֹּ֖אמֶר H559 לָ֗הּ H0 It is well שָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 לָ֛ךְ H0 It is well שָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 with thy husband לְאִישֵׁ֖ךְ H376 It is well שָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 with the child לַיָּ֑לֶד H3206 And she answered וַתֹּ֖אמֶר H559 It is well שָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 27 And when she came וַתָּבֹ֞א H935 אֶל H413 And the man אִ֨ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֤ים H430 אֶל H413 to the hill הָהָ֔ר H2022 she caught וַֽתַּחֲזֵ֖ק H2388 him by the feet בְּרַגְלָ֑יו H7272 came near וַיִּגַּ֨שׁ H5066 but Gehazi גֵּֽיחֲזִ֜י H1522 to thrust her away לְהָדְפָ֗הּ H1920 said וַיֹּאמֶר֩ H559 And the man אִ֨ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֤ים H430 Let her alone הַרְפֵּה H7503 לָהּ֙ H0 כִּֽי H3588 for her soul נַפְשָׁ֣הּ H5315 is vexed מָֽרָה H4843 לָ֔הּ H0 within her and the LORD וַֽיהוָה֙ H3068 hath hid הֶעְלִ֣ים H5956 מִמֶּ֔נִּי H4480 וְלֹ֥א H3808 it from me and hath not told הִגִּ֖יד H5046 לִֽי׃ H0 28 Then she said אָמַ֔רְתִּי H559 Did I desire הֲשָׁאַ֥לְתִּי H7592 a son בֵ֖ן H1121 מֵאֵ֣ת H853 of my lord אֲדֹנִ֑י H113 הֲלֹ֣א H3808 Then she said אָמַ֔רְתִּי H559 לֹ֥א H3808 Do not deceive תַשְׁלֶ֖ה H7952 אֹתִֽי׃ H853 29 Then he said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 to Gehazi לְגֵֽיחֲזִ֜י H1522 Gird up חֲגֹ֣ר H2296 thy loins מָתְנֶ֗יךָ H4975 and take וְקַ֨ח H3947 my staff מִשְׁעַנְתִּ֖י H4938 in thine hand בְיָֽדְךָ֮ H3027 וָלֵךְ֒ H1980 כִּֽי H3588 if thou meet תִמְצָ֥א H4672 any man אִ֖ישׁ H376 לֹ֣א H3808 salute יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ H1288 וְכִֽי H3588 salute יְבָרֶכְךָ֥ H1288 any man אִ֖ישׁ H376 לֹ֣א H3808 thee answer him not again תַֽעֲנֶנּ֑וּ H6030 and lay וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ H7760 my staff מִשְׁעַנְתִּ֖י H4938 עַל H5921 upon the face פְּנֵ֥י H6440 of the child הַנָּֽעַר׃ H5288 30 said וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 And the mother אֵ֣ם H517 of the child הַנַּ֔עַר H5288 liveth וְחֵֽי H2416 As the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 liveth וְחֵֽי H2416 and as thy soul נַפְשְׁךָ֖ H5315 אִם H518 I will not leave אֶֽעֶזְבֶ֑ךָּ H5800 thee And he arose וַיָּ֖קָם H6965 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 אַֽחֲרֶֽיהָ׃ H310 31 And Gehazi וְגֵֽחֲזִ֞י H1522 passed on עָבַ֣ר H5674 before פְּנֵ֣י H6440 them and laid וַיָּ֤שֶׂם H7760 אֶת H853 the staff הַמִּשְׁעֶ֙נֶת֙ H4938 עַל H5921 before פְּנֵ֣י H6440 The child הַנָּֽעַר׃ H5288 וְאֵ֥ין H369 but there was neither voice ק֖וֹל H6963 וְאֵ֣ין H369 nor hearing קָ֑שֶׁב H7182 Wherefore he went again וַיָּ֤שָׁב H7725 to meet לִקְרָאתוֹ֙ H7125 him and told וַיַּגֶּד H5046 ל֣וֹ H0 him saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 לֹ֥א H3808 is not awaked הֵקִ֖יץ H6974 The child הַנָּֽעַר׃ H5288 32 was come וַיָּבֹ֥א H935 And when Elisha אֱלִישָׁ֖ע H477 into the house הַבָּ֑יְתָה H1004 וְהִנֵּ֤ה H2009 behold the child הַנַּ֙עַר֙ H5288 was dead מֵ֔ת H4191 and laid מֻשְׁכָּ֖ב H7901 עַל H5921 upon his bed מִטָּתֽוֹ׃ H4296 33 He went in וַיָּבֹ֕א H935 therefore and shut וַיִּסְגֹּ֥ר H5462 the door הַדֶּ֖לֶת H1817 בְּעַ֣ד H1157 upon them twain שְׁנֵיהֶ֑ם H8147 and prayed וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֖ל H6419 אֶל H413 unto the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 34 And he went up וַיַּ֜עַל H5927 and lay וַיִּשְׁכַּ֣ב H7901 עַל H5921 of the child הַיָּֽלֶד׃ H3206 and put וַיָּשֶׂם֩ H7760 his mouth פִּ֜יו H6310 עַל H5921 his mouth פִּ֜יו H6310 and his eyes עֵינָיו֙ H5869 עַל H5921 and his eyes עֵינָיו֙ H5869 and his hands כַּפָּ֔ו H3709 עַל H5921 and his hands כַּפָּ֔ו H3709 and he stretched וַיִּגְהַ֖ר H1457 עָלָ֑יו H5921 waxed warm וַיָּ֖חָם H2552 himself upon the child and the flesh בְּשַׂ֥ר H1320 of the child הַיָּֽלֶד׃ H3206 35 Then he returned וַיָּ֜שָׁב H7725 וַיֵּ֣לֶךְ H1980 in the house בַּבַּ֗יִת H1004 and fro וְאַחַ֣ת H259 הֵ֙נָּה֙ H2008 and fro וְאַחַ֣ת H259 הֵ֔נָּה H2008 and went up וַיַּ֖עַל H5927 and stretched וַיִּגְהַ֣ר H1457 עָלָ֑יו H5921 sneezed וַיְזוֹרֵ֤ר H2237 and the child הַנַּ֖עַר H5288 עַד H5704 seven שֶׁ֣בַע H7651 times פְּעָמִ֔ים H6471 opened וַיִּפְקַ֥ח H6491 and the child הַנַּ֖עַר H5288 אֶת H853 his eyes עֵינָֽיו׃ H5869 36 And he called וַיִּקְרָאֶ֖הָ H7121 אֶל H413 Gehazi גֵּֽיחֲזִ֗י H1522 and said וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 And he called וַיִּקְרָאֶ֖הָ H7121 אֶל H413 this Shunammite הַשֻּֽׁנַמִּ֣ית H7767 הַזֹּ֔את H2063 And he called וַיִּקְרָאֶ֖הָ H7121 her And when she was come in וַתָּבֹ֣א H935 אֵלָ֑יו H413 and said וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 Take up שְׂאִ֥י H5375 thy son בְנֵֽךְ׃ H1121 37 Then she went in וַתָּבֹא֙ H935 and fell וַתִּפֹּ֣ל H5307 עַל H5921 at his feet רַגְלָ֔יו H7272 and bowed וַתִּשְׁתַּ֖חוּ H7812 herself to the ground אָ֑רְצָה H776 and took up וַתִּשָּׂ֥א H5375 אֶת H853 her son בְּנָ֖הּ H1121 and went out וַתֵּצֵֽא׃ H3318 38 And Elisha וֶֽאֱלִישָׁ֞ע H477 came again שָׁ֤ב H398 כִּ֣י H3588 כֹ֥ה H3541 He said again אָמַ֛ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 They shall eat אָכֹ֥ל H398 and shall leave וְהוֹתֵֽר׃ H3498 44 So he set וַיִּתֵּ֧ן H5414 it before לִפְנֵיהֶ֛ם H6440 them
