of the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Syria לַֽאֲרָ֑ם H758 הָיָ֣ה H1961 man וְהָאִ֗ישׁ H376 was a great גָּד֨וֹל H1419 with פָנִ֔ים H6440 his master אֲדֹנָיו֙ H113 and honourable וּנְשֻׂ֣א H5375 with פָנִ֔ים H6440 כִּי H3588 ב֛וֹ H0 had given נָֽתַן H5414 because by him the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 deliverance תְּשׁוּעָ֖ה H8668 of Syria לַֽאֲרָ֑ם H758 man וְהָאִ֗ישׁ H376 הָיָ֛ה H1961 he was also a mighty גִּבּ֥וֹר H1368 in valour חַ֖יִל H2428 but he was a leper מְצֹרָֽע׃ H6879 2 And the Syrians וַֽאֲרָם֙ H758 had gone out יָֽצְא֣וּ H3318 by companies גְדוּדִ֔ים H1416 and had brought away captive נַֽעֲמָֽן׃ H5283 3 And she said וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 אֶל H413 unto her mistress גְּבִרְתָּ֔הּ H1404 Would אַֽחֲלֵ֣י H305 God my lord אֲדֹנִ֔י H113 were with לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the prophet הַנָּבִ֖יא H5030 the king מֶ֣לֶךְ H4428 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 וַיֵּלֶךְ֩ H1980 and took וַיִּקַּ֨ח H3947 with him בְּיָד֜וֹ H3027 and ten וְעֶ֖שֶׂר H6235 talents כִּכְּרֵי H3603 of silver כֶ֗סֶף H3701 and six וְשֵׁ֤שֶׁת H8337 thousand אֲלָפִים֙ H505 pieces of gold זָהָ֔ב H2091 and ten וְעֶ֖שֶׂר H6235 changes חֲלִיפ֥וֹת H2487 of raiment בְּגָדִֽים׃ H899 6 And he brought כְּב֨וֹא H935 Now when this letter הַסֵּ֤פֶר H5612 אֶל H413 to the king מֶ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 וְעַתָּ֗ה H6258 And he brought כְּב֨וֹא H935 Now when this letter הַסֵּ֤פֶר H5612 הַזֶּה֙ H2088 אֵלֶ֔יךָ H413 הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 unto thee behold I have therewith sent שָׁלַ֤חְתִּי H7971 אֵלֶ֙יךָ֙ H413 אֶת H853 Naaman נַֽעֲמָ֣ן H5283 my servant עַבְדִּ֔י H5650 to thee that thou mayest recover וַֽאֲסַפְתּ֖וֹ H622 him of his leprosy מִצָּֽרַעְתּֽוֹ׃ H6883 7 וַיְהִ֡י H1961 had read כִּקְרֹא֩ H7121 And it came to pass when the king מֶֽלֶךְ H4428 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל H3478 אֶת H853 the letter הַסֵּ֜פֶר H5612 that he rent וַיִּקְרַ֣ע H7167 his clothes בְּגָדָ֗יו H899 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 Am I God הַאֱלֹהִ֥ים H430 אָ֙נִי֙ H589 to kill לְהָמִ֣ית H4191 and to make alive וּֽלְהַחֲי֔וֹת H2421 כִּי H3588 that this man זֶה֙ H2088 doth send שֹׁלֵ֣חַ H7971 אֵלַ֔י H413 unto me to recover לֶֽאֱסֹ֥ף H622 a man אִ֖ישׁ H376 of his leprosy מִצָּֽרַעְתּ֑וֹ H6883 כִּ֤י H3588 wherefore אַךְ H389 וַיָּבֹ֥א H935 So Naaman נַֽעֲמָ֖ן H5283 with his horses בְּסוּסָ֣ו H5483 and with his chariot וּבְרִכְבּ֑וֹ H7393 and stood וַיַּֽעֲמֹ֥ד H5975 at the door פֶּֽתַח H6607 of the house הַבַּ֖יִת H1004 of Elisha לֶֽאֱלִישָֽׁע׃ H477 10 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֥ח H7971 אֵלָ֛יו H413 And Elisha אֱלִישָׁ֖ע H477 a messenger מַלְאָ֣ךְ H4397 unto him saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 Go הָל֗וֹךְ H1980 and wash וְרָֽחַצְתָּ֤ H7364 seven שֶֽׁבַע H7651 times פְּעָמִים֙ H6471 in Jordan בַּיַּרְדֵּ֔ן H3383 shall come again וְיָשֹׁ֧ב H7725 and thy flesh בְּשָֽׂרְךָ֛ H1320 לְךָ֖ H0 to thee and thou shalt be clean וּטְהָֽר׃ H2891 11 was wroth וַיִּקְצֹ֥ף H7107 But Naaman נַֽעֲמָ֖ן H5283 וַיֵּלַ֑ךְ H1980 Behold I thought אָמַ֜רְתִּי H559 הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 Behold I thought אָמַ֜רְתִּי H559 אֵלַ֣י׀ H413 He will surely יָצ֗וֹא H3318 He will surely יָצ֗וֹא H3318 to me and stand וְעָמַד֙ H5975 and call וְקָרָא֙ H7121 on the name בְּשֵׁם H8034 of the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 his God אֱלֹהָ֔יו H430 and strike וְהֵנִ֥יף H5130 his hand יָד֛וֹ H3027 אֶל H413 over the place הַמָּק֖וֹם H4725 and recover וְאָסַ֥ף H622 the leper הַמְּצֹרָֽע׃ H6879 12 הֲלֹ֡א H3808 better טוֹב֩ H2896 Are not Abana אֲבָנָ֨ה H71 and Pharpar וּפַרְפַּ֜ר H6554 rivers נַֽהֲר֣וֹת H5104 of Damascus דַּמֶּ֗שֶׂק H1834 מִכֹּל֙ H3605 than all the waters מֵימֵ֣י H4325 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 הֲלֹֽא H3808 may I not wash אֶרְחַ֥ץ H7364 בָּהֶ֖ם H0 in them and be clean וְטָהָ֑רְתִּי H2891 So he turned וַיִּ֖פֶן H6437 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 in a rage בְּחֵמָֽה׃ H2534 13 came near וַיִּגְּשׁ֣וּ H5066 And his servants עֲבָדָיו֮ H5650 and spake דִּבֶּ֥ר H1696 אֵלָיו֒ H413 unto him and said אָמַ֥ר H559 My father אָבִי֙ H1 thing דָּבָ֣ר H1697 thee do some great גָּד֗וֹל H1419 if the prophet הַנָּבִ֛יא H5030 and spake דִּבֶּ֥ר H1696 אֵלֶ֖יךָ H413 הֲל֣וֹא H3808 wouldest thou not have done תַֽעֲשֶׂ֑ה H6213 it how much rather then וְאַ֛ף H637 כִּֽי H3588 unto him and said אָמַ֥ר H559 אֵלֶ֖יךָ H413 to thee Wash רְחַ֥ץ H7364 and be clean וּטְהָֽר׃ H2891 14 Then went he down וַיֵּ֗רֶד H3381 and dipped וַיִּטְבֹּ֤ל H2881 in Jordan בַּיַּרְדֵּן֙ H3383 himself seven שֶׁ֣בַע H7651 times פְּעָמִ֔ים H6471 according to the saying כִּדְבַ֖ר H1697 of the man אִ֣ישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֑ים H430 came again וַיָּ֣שָׁב H7725 and his flesh כִּבְשַׂ֛ר H1320 and his flesh כִּבְשַׂ֛ר H1320 child נַ֥עַר H5288 of a little קָטֹ֖ן H6996 and he was clean וַיִּטְהָֽר׃ H2891 15 And he returned וַיָּשָׁב֩ H7725 אֶל H413 to the man אִ֨ישׁ H376 of God אֱלֹהִים֙ H430 ה֣וּא H1931 וְכָֽל H3605 he and all his company מַחֲנֵ֗הוּ H4264 and came וַיָּבֹא֮ H935 and stood וַיַּֽעֲמֹ֣ד H5975 before לְפָנָיו֒ H6440 him and he said וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 הִנֵּה H2009 נָ֤א H4994 Behold now I know יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ H3045 כִּ֣י H3588 אֵ֤ין H369 of God אֱלֹהִים֙ H430 בְּכָל H3605 in all the earth הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 כִּ֖י H3588 אִם H518 but in Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל H3478 וְעַתָּ֛ה H6258 now therefore I pray thee take קַח H3947 נָ֥א H4994 a blessing בְרָכָ֖ה H1293 מֵאֵ֥ת H853 of thy servant עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ H5650 16 But he said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 liveth חַי H2416 As the LORD יְהוָ֛ה H3068 אֲשֶׁר H834 whom I stand עָמַ֥דְתִּי H5975 before לְפָנָ֖יו H6440 אִם H518 I will receive לָקַ֖חַת H3947 none And he urged וַיִּפְצַר H6484 בּ֥וֹ H0 I will receive לָקַ֖חַת H3947 it but he refused וַיְמָאֵֽן׃ H3985 17 said וַיֹּאמֶר֮ H559 And Naaman נַֽעֲמָן֒ H5283 וָלֹ֕א H3808 Shall there not then I pray thee be given יֻתַּן H5414 נָ֣א H4994 for thy servant עַבְדְּךָ֜ H5650 burden מַשָּׂ֥א H4853 two צֶֽמֶד H6776 mules פְּרָדִ֖ים H6505 of earth אֲדָמָ֑ה H127 כִּ֡י H3588 לֽוֹא H3808 will henceforth offer יַעֲשֶׂה֩ H6213 ע֨וֹד H5750 for thy servant עַבְדְּךָ֜ H5650 neither burnt offering עֹלָ֤ה H5930 nor sacrifice וָזֶ֙בַח֙ H2077 gods לֵֽאלֹהִ֣ים H430 unto other אֲחֵרִ֔ים H312 כִּ֖י H3588 אִם H518 but unto the LORD לַֽיהוָֽה׃ H3068 18 In this thing בַּדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 pardon יִסְלַח H5545 the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 thy servant לְעַבְדְּךָ֖ H5650 goeth בְּב֣וֹא H935 that when my master אֲדֹנִ֣י H113 into the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of Rimmon רִמֹּ֔ן H7417 and I bow בְּהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוָיָ֙תִי֙ H7812 שָׁ֜מָּה H8033 וְה֣וּא׀ H1931 there and he leaneth נִשְׁעָ֣ן H8172 עַל H5921 on my hand יָדִ֗י H3027 and I bow בְּהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוָיָ֙תִי֙ H7812 into the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of Rimmon רִמֹּ֔ן H7417 and I bow בְּהִשְׁתַּֽחֲוָיָ֙תִי֙ H7812 into the house בֵּ֣ית H1004 of Rimmon רִמֹּ֔ן H7417 pardon יִסְלַח H5545 נא H4994 the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 thy servant לְעַבְדְּךָ֖ H5650 In this thing בַּדָּבָ֥ר H1697 הַזֶּֽה׃ H2088 19 And he said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 ל֖וֹ H0 לֵ֣ךְ H1980 in peace לְשָׁל֑וֹם H7965 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 מֵֽאִתּ֖וֹ H853 from him a little כִּבְרַת H3530 way אָֽרֶץ׃ H776 20 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 But Gehazi גֵּֽיחֲזִ֗י H1522 the servant נַעַר֮ H5288 of Elisha אֱלִישָׁ֣ע H477 the man אִישׁ H376 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִים֒ H430 הִנֵּ֣ה׀ H2009 hath spared חָשַׂ֣ךְ H2820 Behold my master אֲדֹנִ֗י H113 אֶֽת H853 Naaman נַעֲמָ֤ן H5283 this Syrian הָֽאֲרַמִּי֙ H761 הַזֶּ֔ה H2088 him and take וְלָֽקַחְתִּ֥י H3947 at his hands מִיָּד֖וֹ H3027 אֵ֣ת H853 אֲשֶׁר H834 that which he brought הֵבִ֑יא H935 liveth חַי H2416 but as the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 כִּֽי H3588 אִם H518 I will run רַ֣צְתִּי H7323 after אַֽחֲרָ֔יו H310 him and take וְלָֽקַחְתִּ֥י H3947 מֵֽאִתּ֖וֹ H853 somewhat מְאֽוּמָה׃ H3972 21 followed וַיִּרְדֹּ֥ף H7291 So Gehazi גֵּֽיחֲזִ֖י H1522 after אַֽחֲרָ֔יו H310 And when Naaman נַֽעֲמָן֙ H5283 saw וַיִּרְאֶ֤ה H7200 And when Naaman נַֽעֲמָן֙ H5283 him running רָ֣ץ H7323 after אַֽחֲרָ֔יו H310 him he lighted down וַיִּפֹּ֞ל H5307 מֵעַ֧ל H5921 from the chariot הַמֶּרְכָּבָ֛ה H4818 to meet לִקְרָאת֖וֹ H7125 him and said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 Is all well הֲשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 22 And he said לֵאמֹר֒ H559 All is well שָׁל֗וֹם H7965 My master אֲדֹנִי֮ H113 hath sent שְׁלָחַ֣נִי H7971 And he said לֵאמֹר֒ H559 הִנֵּ֣ה H2009 עַתָּ֡ה H6258 זֶ֠ה H2088 Behold even now there be come בָּ֣אוּ H935 אֵלַ֧י H413 and two וּשְׁתֵּ֖י H8147 young men נְעָרִ֛ים H5288 to me from mount מֵהַ֥ר H2022 Ephraim אֶפְרַ֖יִם H669 of the sons מִבְּנֵ֣י H1121 of the prophets הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים H5030 give תְּנָה H5414 נָּ֤א H4994 לָהֶם֙ H0 them I pray thee a talent כִּכַּר H3603 of silver כֶּ֔סֶף H3701 and two וּשְׁתֵּ֖י H8147 changes חֲלִפ֥וֹת H2487 of garments בְּגָדִֽים׃ H899 23 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Naaman נַֽעֲמָ֔ן H5283 Be content הוֹאֵ֖ל H2974 take קַ֣ח H3947 talents כִּכְּרַ֨יִם H3603 And he urged וַיִּפְרָץ H6555 בּ֗וֹ H0 וַיָּצַר֩ H6887 talents כִּכְּרַ֨יִם H3603 of silver כֶּ֜סֶף H3701 in two שְׁנֵ֣י H8147 bags חֲרִטִ֗ים H2754 in two שְׁנֵ֣י H8147 changes חֲלִפ֣וֹת H2487 of garments בְּגָדִ֔ים H899 and laid וַיִּתֵּן֙ H5414 אֶל H413 in two שְׁנֵ֣י H8147 of his servants נְעָרָ֔יו H5288 and they bare וַיִּשְׂא֖וּ H5375 them before לְפָנָֽיו׃ H6440 24 And when he came וַיָּבֹא֙ H935 אֶל H413 to the tower הָעֹ֔פֶל H6076 he took וַיִּקַּ֥ח H3947 them from their hand מִיָּדָ֖ם H3027 and bestowed וַיִּפְקֹ֣ד H6485 them in the house בַּבָּ֑יִת H1004 go וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח H7971 אֶת H853 and he let the men הָֽאֲנָשִׁ֖ים H582 וַיֵּלֵֽכוּ׃ H1980 25 וְהוּא H1931 But he went in בָא֙ H935 and stood וַיַּֽעֲמֹ֣ד H5975 אֶל H413 before his master אֲדֹנָ֔יו H113 And he said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 אֵלָיו֙ H413 And Elisha אֱלִישָׁ֔ע H477 unto him Whence מֵאַ֖ןִ H370 comest thou Gehazi גֵּֽחֲזִ֑י H1522 And he said וַיֹּ֕אמֶר H559 לֹֽא H3808 went הָלַ֥ךְ H1980 Thy servant עַבְדְּךָ֖ H5650 no whither וָאָֽנָה׃ H575 no whither וָאָֽנָה׃ H575 26 And he said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 אֵלָיו֙ H413 לֹֽא H3808 not mine heart לִבִּ֣י H3820 unto him Went הָלַ֔ךְ H1980 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֧ר H834 turned הָֽפַךְ H2015 with thee when the man אִ֛ישׁ H376 מֵעַ֥ל H5921 again from his chariot מֶרְכַּבְתּ֖וֹ H4818 to meet לִקְרָאתֶ֑ךָ H7125 thee Is it a time הַעֵ֞ת H6256 and to receive וְלָקַ֣חַת H3947 אֶת H853 money הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ H3701 and to receive וְלָקַ֣חַת H3947 garments בְּגָדִ֔ים H899 and oliveyards וְזֵיתִ֤ים H2132 and vineyards וּכְרָמִים֙ H3754 and sheep וְצֹ֣אן H6629 and oxen וּבָקָ֔ר H1241 and menservants וַֽעֲבָדִ֖ים H5650 and maidservants וּשְׁפָחֽוֹת׃ H8198 27 The leprosy וְצָרַ֤עַת H6883 therefore of Naaman נַֽעֲמָן֙ H5283 shall cleave תִּֽדְבַּק H1692 בְּךָ֔ H0 unto thee and unto thy seed
