H53 אֶת H853 the hearts לֵ֖ב H3820 אַנְשֵׁ֥י H376 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 7 וַיְהִ֕י H1961 And it came to pass after מִקֵּ֖ץ H7093 forty אַרְבָּעִ֣ים H705 years שָׁנָ֑ה H8141 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 that Absalom אַבְשָׁלוֹם֙ H53 אֶל H413 unto the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 אֵ֣לֲכָה H1980 נָּ֗א H4994 and pay וַֽאֲשַׁלֵּ֛ם H7999 אֶת H853 my vow נִדְרִ֛י H5088 אֲשֶׁר H834 which I have vowed נָדַ֥רְתִּי thing דָּבָֽר׃ H1697 12 sent וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח H7971 And Absalom אַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H53 אֶת H853 for Ahithophel אֲחִיתֹ֨פֶל H302 the Gilonite הַגִּֽילֹנִ֜י H1526 counsellor יוֹעֵ֣ץ H3289 David's דָּוִ֗ד H1732 from his city מֵֽעִירוֹ֙ H5892 even from Giloh מִגִּלֹ֔ה H1542 while he offered בְּזָבְח֖וֹ H2076 אֶת H853 sacrifices הַזְּבָחִ֑ים H2077 וַיְהִ֤י H1961 And the conspiracy הַקֶּ֙שֶׁר֙ H7195 was strong אַמִּ֔ץ H533 for the people וְהָעָ֛ם H5971 continually הוֹלֵ֥ךְ H1980 increased וָרָ֖ב H7227 אֶת H854 And Absalom אַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H53 13 And there came וַיָּבֹא֙ H935 a messenger הַמַּגִּ֔יד H5046 אֶל H413 to David דָּוִ֖ד H1732 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 הָיָ֛ה H1961 The hearts לֶב H3820 of the men אִ֥ישׁ H376 of Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל H3478 are after אַֽחֲרֵ֥י H310 Absalom אַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H53 14 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And David דָּ֠וִד H1732 לְכָל H3605 unto all his servants עֲבָדָ֨יו H5650 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֤וֹ H854 that were with him at Jerusalem בִירֽוּשָׁלִַ֙ם֙ H3389 Arise ק֣וּמוּ H6965 and let us flee וְנִבְרָ֔חָה H1272 כִּ֛י H3588 לֹא H3808 תִֽהְיֶה H1961 לָּ֥נוּ H0 for we shall not else escape פְלֵיטָ֖ה H6413 from מִפְּנֵ֣י H6440 Absalom אַבְשָׁלֹ֑ם H53 make speed יְמַהֵ֤ר H4116 לָלֶ֗כֶת H1980 פֶּן H6435 make speed יְמַהֵ֤ר H4116 lest he overtake וְהִשִּׂגָ֙נוּ֙ H5381 and bring וְהִדִּ֤יחַ H5080 עָלֵ֙ינוּ֙ H5921 אֶת H853 evil הָ֣רָעָ֔ה H7451 upon us and smite וְהִכָּ֥ה H5221 the city H4428 כְּכֹ֧ל H3605 אֲשֶׁר H834 shall appoint יִבְחַ֛ר H977 are ready to do whatsoever my lord אֲדֹנִ֥י H113 And the king's הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 הִנֵּ֥ה H2009 Behold thy servants עֲבָדֶֽיךָ׃ H5650 16 went servants עֲבָדָיו֙ H5650 passed on עֹֽבְרִ֖ים H5674 עַל H5921 beside יָד֔וֹ H3027 וְכָל H3605 him and all the Cherethites הַכְּרֵתִ֖י H3774 וְכָל H3605 and all the Pelethites הַפְּלֵתִ֑י H6432 וְכָֽל H3605 and all the Gittites הַגִּתִּ֞ים H1663 six שֵׁשׁ H8337 hundred מֵא֣וֹת H3967 men אִ֗ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁר H834 which came בָּ֤אוּ H935 after בְרַגְלוֹ֙ H7272 him from Gath מִגַּ֔ת H1661 passed on עֹֽבְרִ֖ים H5674 עַל H5921 before פְּנֵ֥י H6440 the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 19 Then said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 אֶל H413 to Ittai אִתַּ֣י H863 the Gittite הַגִּתִּ֔י H1663 לָ֧מָּה H4100 תֵלֵ֛ךְ H1980 גַּם H1571 אַתָּ֖ה H859 אִתָּ֑נוּ H854 thou also with us return שׁ֣וּב H7725 and abide וְשֵׁ֤ב H3427 עִם H5973 the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 כִּֽי H3588 for thou art a stranger נָכְרִ֣י H5237 אַ֔תָּה H859 וְגַם H1571 and also an exile גֹּלֶ֥ה H1540 אַתָּ֖ה H859 to thy place לִמְקוֹמֶֽךָ׃ H4725 20 but yesterday תְּמ֣וֹל׀ H8543 Whereas thou camest בּוֹאֶ֗ךָ H935 should I this day וְהַיּ֞וֹם H3117 up and down אֲנִֽועֲךָ֤ H5128 עִמָּ֙נוּ֙ H5973 make thee go לָלֶ֔כֶת H3212 וַֽאֲנִ֣י H589 with us seeing I go הוֹלֵ֑ךְ H1980 עַ֥ל H5921 אֲשֶׁר H834 אֲנִ֖י H589 with us seeing I go הוֹלֵ֑ךְ H1980 thou and take back וְהָשֵׁ֧ב H7725 thou and take back וְהָשֵׁ֧ב H7725 אֶת H853 thy brethren אַחֶ֛יךָ H251 עִמָּ֖ךְ H5973 mercy חֶ֥סֶד H2617 and truth וֶֽאֱמֶֽת׃ H571 21 answered וַיַּ֧עַן H6030 And Ittai אִתַּ֛י H863 אֶת H853 the king הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 liveth לְחַיִּ֔ים H2416 As the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 liveth לְחַיִּ֔ים H2416 and as my lord אֲדֹנִ֣י H113 the king הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 כִּ֠י H3588 אִם H518 surely in what place בִּמְק֞וֹם H4725 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 יִֽהְיֶה H1961 שָּׁ֣ם׀ H8033 and as my lord אֲדֹנִ֣י H113 the king הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 אִם H518 shall be whether in death לְמָ֙וֶת֙ H4194 אִם H518 liveth לְחַיִּ֔ים H2416 כִּי H3588 שָׁ֖ם H8033 יִֽהְיֶ֥ה H1961 even there also will thy servant עַבְדֶּֽךָ׃ H5650 22 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֛ד H1732 אֶל H413 And Ittai אִתַּ֤י H863 לֵ֣ךְ H1980 and pass over וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֞ר H5674 and pass over וַֽיַּעֲבֹ֞ר H5674 And Ittai אִתַּ֤י H863 the Gittite הַגִּתִּי֙ H1663 וְכָל H3605 אֲנָשָׁ֔יו H376 וְכָל H3605 and all the little ones הַטַּ֖ף H2945 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 אִתּֽוֹ׃ H854 23 וְכָל H3605 And all the country הָאָ֗רֶץ H776 wept בּוֹכִים֙ H1058 voice ק֣וֹל H6963 with a loud גָּד֔וֹל H1419 וְכָל H3605 and all the people הָעָם֙ H5971 also himself passed over עֹֽבְרִ֔ים H5674 the king וְהַמֶּ֗לֶךְ H4428 also himself passed over עֹֽבְרִ֔ים H5674 the brook בְּנַ֣חַל H5158 Kidron קִדְר֔וֹן H6939 וְכָל H3605 and all the people הָעָם֙ H5971 also himself passed over עֹֽבְרִ֔ים H5674 עַל H5921 toward פְּנֵי H6440 the way דֶ֖רֶךְ H1870 אֶת H853 of the wilderness הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃ H4057 24 וְהִנֵּ֨ה H2009 גַם H1571 And lo Zadok צָד֜וֹק H6659 וְכָֽל H3605 also and all the Levites הַלְוִיִּ֣ם H3881 אִתּ֗וֹ H854 were with him bearing נֹֽשְׂאִים֙ H5375 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of the covenant בְּרִ֣ית H1285 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 and they set down וַיַּצִּ֙קוּ֙ H3332 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֣וֹן H727 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֔ים H430 went up וַיַּ֖עַל H5927 and Abiathar אֶבְיָתָ֑ר H54 עַד H5704 had done תֹּ֥ם H8552 כָּל H3605 until all the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 passing לַֽעֲב֥וֹר H5674 מִן H4480 out of the city הָעִֽיר׃ H5892 25 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 unto Zadok לְצָד֔וֹק H6659 Carry back וֶֽהֱשִׁבַ֕נִי H7725 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֥וֹן H727 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 into the city הָעִ֑יר H5892 אִם H518 if I shall find אֶמְצָ֥א H4672 favour חֵן֙ H2580 in the eyes בְּעֵינֵ֣י H5869 of the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 Carry back וֶֽהֱשִׁבַ֕נִי H7725 and shew וְהִרְאַ֥נִי H7200 אֹת֖וֹ H853 וְאֶת H853 me both it and his habitation נָוֵֽהוּ׃ H5116 26 וְאִם֙ H518 כֹּ֣ה H3541 But if he thus say יֹאמַ֔ר H559 לֹ֥א H3808 I have no delight חָפַ֖צְתִּי H2654 בָּ֑ךְ H0 הִנְנִ֕י H2005 in thee behold here am I let him do יַֽעֲשֶׂה H6213 לִּ֕י H0 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 good ט֖וֹב H2896 to me as seemeth בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ H5869 27 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 The king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 אֶל H413 also unto Zadok צָד֣וֹק H6659 the priest הַכֹּהֵ֔ן H3548 Art not thou a seer הֲרוֹאֶ֣ה H7200 אַתָּ֔ה H859 return שֻׁ֥בָה H7725 into the city הָעִ֖יר H5892 in peace בְּשָׁל֑וֹם H7965 with you Ahimaaz וַֽאֲחִימַ֨עַץ H290 sons בְנֵיכֶ֖ם H1121 and Jonathan וִיהֽוֹנָתָ֧ן H3083 sons בְנֵיכֶ֖ם H1121 of Abiathar אֶבְיָתָ֛ר H54 and your two שְׁנֵ֥י H8147 sons בְנֵיכֶ֖ם H1121 אִתְּכֶֽם׃ H854 28 See רְאוּ֙ H7200 אָֽנֹכִ֣י H595 I will tarry מִתְמַהְמֵ֔הַּ H4102 בְּעַֽבְר֖וֹת H5679 of the wilderness הַמִּדְבָּ֑ר H4057 עַ֣ד H5704 until there come בּ֥וֹא H935 word דָבָ֛ר H1697 מֵֽעִמָּכֶ֖ם H5973 from you to certify לְהַגִּ֥יד H5046 לִֽי׃ H0 29 again וַיָּ֨שֶׁב H7725 Zadok צָד֧וֹק H6659 therefore and Abiathar וְאֶבְיָתָ֛ר H54 אֶת H853 the ark אֲר֥וֹן H727 of God הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים H430 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָ֑ם H3389 and they tarried וַיֵּֽשְׁב֖וּ H3427 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 30 And David וְדָוִ֡ד H1732 and they went up עָלֹ֖ה H5927 by the ascent בְמַֽעֲלֵ֨ה H4608 of mount Olivet הַזֵּיתִ֜ים H2132 and they went up עָלֹ֖ה H5927 and wept וּבָכֹֽה׃ H1058 and had his head רֹאשׁ֔וֹ H7218 לוֹ֙ H0 covered חָפוּ֙ H2645 וְה֖וּא H1931 and he went הֹלֵ֣ךְ H1980 barefoot יָחֵ֑ף H3182 וְכָל H3605 and all the people הָעָ֣ם H5971 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֗וֹ H854 covered חָפוּ֙ H2645 every man אִ֣ישׁ H376 and had his head רֹאשׁ֔וֹ H7218 and they went up עָלֹ֖ה H5927 and they went up עָלֹ֖ה H5927 and wept וּבָכֹֽה׃ H1058 31 And David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 And one told הִגִּ֣יד H5046 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Ahithophel אֲחִיתֹ֖פֶל H302 is among the conspirators בַּקֹּֽשְׁרִ֖ים H7194 עִם H5973 with Absalom אַבְשָׁל֑וֹם H53 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 into foolishness סַכֶּל H5528 נָ֛א H4994 אֶת H853 I pray thee turn the counsel עֲצַ֥ת H6098 Ahithophel אֲחִיתֹ֖פֶל H302 O LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 32 וַיְהִ֤י H1961 And it came to pass that when David דָוִד֙ H1732 was come בָּ֣א H935 עַד H5704 to the top רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ H7218 אֲשֶֽׁר H834 of the mount where he worshipped יִשְׁתַּחֲוֶ֥ה H7812 שָׁ֖ם H8033 God לֵֽאלֹהִ֑ים H430 וְהִנֵּ֤ה H2009 came to meet לִקְרָאתוֹ֙ H7125 behold Hushai חוּשַׁ֣י H2365 the Archite הָֽאַרְכִּ֔י H757 rent קָר֙וּעַ֙ H7167 him with his coat כֻּתָּנְתּ֔וֹ H3801 and earth וַֽאֲדָמָ֖ה H127 עַל H5921 to the top רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ H7218 33 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 ל֖וֹ H0 Unto whom David דָּוִ֑ד H1732 אִ֚ם H518 If thou passest on עָבַ֣רְתָּ H5674 אִתִּ֔י H854 וְהָיִ֥תָ H1961 עָלַ֖י H5921 with me then thou shalt be a burden לְמַשָּֽׂא׃ H4853 34 וְאִם H518 to the city הָעִ֣יר H5892 But if thou return תָּשׁ֗וּב H7725 and say וְאָֽמַרְתָּ֤ H559 unto Absalom לְאַבְשָׁלוֹם֙ H53 I will be thy servant עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ H5650 אֲנִ֤י H589 O king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 אֶֽהְיֶ֔ה H1961 I will be thy
