H935 דָּ֣נָה H0 to Danjaan יַּ֔עַן H1842 and about וְסָבִ֖יב H5439 אֶל H413 to Zidon צִידֽוֹן׃ H6721 7 And came וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ H935 to the strong hold מִבְצַר H4013 of Tyre צֹ֔ר H6865 וְכָל H3605 and to all the cities עָרֵ֥י H5892 of the Hivites הַֽחִוִּ֖י H2340 and of the Canaanites וְהַֽכְּנַעֲנִ֑י H3669 and they went out וַיֵּֽצְא֛וּ H3318 אֶל H413 to the south נֶ֥גֶב H5045 of Judah יְהוּדָ֖ה H3063 בְּאֵ֥ר H0 even to Beersheba שָֽׁבַע׃ H884 8 So when they had gone וַיָּשֻׁ֖טוּ H7751 בְּכָל H3605 through all the land הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 they came וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ H935 at the end מִקְצֵ֨ה H7097 of nine תִשְׁעָ֧ה H8672 months חֳדָשִׁ֛ים H2320 and twenty וְעֶשְׂרִ֥ים H6242 days י֖וֹם H3117 to Jerusalem יְרֽוּשָׁלִָֽם׃ H3389 9 gave up וַיִּתֵּ֥ן H5414 And Joab יוֹאָ֛ב H3097 אֶת H853 the sum מִסְפַּ֥ר H4557 of the number מִפְקַד H4662 of the people הָעָ֖ם H5971 אֶל H413 unto the king הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 וַתְּהִ֣י H1961 and there were in Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֡ל H3478 eight שְֽׁמֹנֶה֩ H8083 hundred מֵא֥וֹת H3967 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 and the men אִֽישׁ׃ H376 valiant חַ֙יִל֙ H2428 that drew שֹׁ֣לֵֽף H8025 the sword חֶ֔רֶב H2719 and the men אִֽישׁ׃ H376 of Judah יְהוּדָ֔ה H3063 were five חֲמֵשׁ H2568 hundred מֵא֥וֹת H3967 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 and the men אִֽישׁ׃ H376 10 smote וַיַּ֤ךְ H5221 heart לֵב H3820 And David דָּוִ֜ד H1732 אֹת֔וֹ H853 him after אַֽחֲרֵי H310 כֵ֖ן H3651 that he had numbered סָפַ֣ר H5608 אֶת H853 the people הָעָ֑ם H5971 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֜ד H1732 אֶל H413 and now I beseech thee O LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 I have sinned חָטָ֤אתִי H2398 for I have done very מְאֹֽד׃ H3966 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 in that I have done עָשִׂ֔יתִי H6213 וְעַתָּ֣ה H6258 and now I beseech thee O LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 take away הַֽעֲבֶר H5674 נָא֙ H4994 אֶת H853 the iniquity עֲוֹ֣ן H5771 of thy servant עַבְדְּךָ֔ H5650 כִּ֥י H3588 foolishly נִסְכַּ֖לְתִּי H5528 for I have done very מְאֹֽד׃ H3966 11 was up וַיָּ֥קָם H6965 David's דָוִ֖ד H1732 in the morning בַּבֹּ֑קֶר H1242 the word וּדְבַר H1697 of the LORD יְהוָ֗ה H3068 הָיָה֙ H1961 אֶל H413 Gad גָּ֣ד H1410 came unto the prophet הַנָּבִ֔יא H5030 seer חֹזֵ֥ה H2374 David's דָוִ֖ד H1732 saying לֵאמֹֽר׃ H559 12 Go הָל֞וֹךְ H1980 Thus saith וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ H1696 אֶל H413 unto David דָּוִ֗ד H1732 כֹּ֚ה H3541 and say אָמַ֣ר H559 the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 thee three שָׁלֹ֕שׁ H7969 אָֽנֹכִ֖י H595 I offer נוֹטֵ֣ל H5190 עָלֶ֑יךָ H5921 things choose בְּחַר H977 לְךָ֥ H0 thee one אַֽחַת H259 מֵהֶ֖ם H1992 of them that I may do it unto thee וְאֶֽעֱשֶׂה H6213 לָּֽךְ׃ H0 13 came הֲתָב֣וֹא H935 So Gad גָ֥ד H1410 אֶל H413 to David דָּוִ֖ד H1732 and told וַיַּגֶּד H5046 ל֑וֹ H0 him and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 ל֡וֹ H0 came הֲתָב֣וֹא H935 לְךָ֣ H0 unto him Shall seven שֶֽׁבַע H7651 years שָׁנִ֣ים׀ H8141 of famine רָעָ֣ב׀ H7458 in thy land בְּאַרְצֶ֔ךָ H776 אִם H518 thee or that there be three שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת H7969 months חֳ֠דָשִׁים H2320 or wilt thou flee נֻֽסְךָ֙ H5127 before לִפְנֵֽי H6440 thine enemies צָרֶ֜יךָ H6862 וְה֣וּא H1931 while they pursue רֹֽדְפֶ֗ךָ H7291 וְאִם H518 הֱ֠יוֹת H1961 thee or that there be three שְׁלֹ֨שֶׁת H7969 days יָמִ֥ים H3117 pestilence דֶּ֙בֶר֙ H1698 in thy land בְּאַרְצֶ֔ךָ H776 עַתָּה֙ H6258 now advise דַּ֣ע H3045 and see וּרְאֵ֔ה H7200 מָה H4100 I shall return אָשִׁ֥יב H7725 to him that sent שֹֽׁלְחִ֖י H7971 what answer דָּבָֽר׃ H1697 14 said וַיֹּ֧אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֛ד H1732 אֶל H413 unto Gad גָּ֖ד H1410 צַר H6862 לִ֣י H0 I am in a great מְאֹ֑ד H3966 and let me not fall אֶפֹּֽלָה׃ H5307 נָּ֤א H4994 into the hand וּבְיַד H3027 of the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 כִּֽי H3588 are great רַבִּ֣ים H7227 for his mercies רַֽחֲמָ֔ו H7356 into the hand וּבְיַד H3027 of man אָדָ֖ם H120 אַל H408 and let me not fall אֶפֹּֽלָה׃ H5307 15 sent וַיִּתֵּ֨ן H5414 So the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 a pestilence דֶּ֙בֶר֙ H1698 upon Israel בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל H3478 from the morning מֵֽהַבֹּ֖קֶר H1242 וְעַד H5704 even to the time עֵ֣ת H6256 appointed מוֹעֵ֑ד H4150 and there died וַיָּ֣מָת H4191 מִן H4480 of the people הָעָ֗ם H5971 from Dan מִדָּן֙ H1835 וְעַד H5704 בְּאֵ֣ר H0 even to Beersheba שֶׁ֔בַע H884 seventy שִׁבְעִ֥ים H7657 thousand אֶ֖לֶף H505 men אִֽישׁ׃ H376 16 stretched out וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ H7971 his hand יָדֶ֑ךָ H3027 And the angel וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 upon Jerusalem יְֽרוּשָׁלִַם֮ H3389 that destroyed הַמַּשְׁחִ֤ית H7843 repented וַיִּנָּ֤חֶם H5162 it the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 אֶל H413 him of the evil הָ֣רָעָ֔ה H7451 and said וַ֠יֹּאמֶר H559 And the angel וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 that destroyed הַמַּשְׁחִ֤ית H7843 the people בָּעָם֙ H5971 It is enough רַ֔ב H7227 עַתָּ֖ה H6258 stay הֶ֣רֶף H7503 his hand יָדֶ֑ךָ H3027 And the angel וּמַלְאַ֤ךְ H4397 it the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 הָיָ֔ה H1961 עִם H5973 was by the threshingplace גֹּ֖רֶן H1637 of Araunah הָֽאֲוַ֥רְנָה H728 the Jebusite הַיְבֻסִֽי׃ H2983 17 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 And David דָּוִ֨ד H1732 אֶל H413 unto the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 when he saw בִּרְאֹת֣וֹ׀ H7200 אֶֽת H853 the angel הַמַּלְאָ֣ךְ׀ H4397 that smote הַמַּכֶּ֣ה H5221 the people בָעָ֗ם H5971 and said וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ H559 הִנֵּ֨ה H2009 אָֽנֹכִ֤י H595 Lo I have sinned חָטָ֙אתִי֙ H2398 וְאָֽנֹכִ֣י H595 and I have done wickedly הֶֽעֱוֵ֔יתִי H5753 וְאֵ֥לֶּה H428 but these sheep הַצֹּ֖אן H6629 מֶ֣ה H4100 what have they done עָשׂ֑וּ H6213 תְּהִ֨י H1961 נָ֥א H4994 let thine hand יָֽדְךָ֛ H3027 בִּ֖י H0 house וּבְבֵ֥ית H1004 I pray thee be against me and against my father's אָבִֽי׃ H1 18 came וַיָּֽבֹא H935 And Gad גָ֥ד H1410 אֶל H413 to David דָּוִ֖ד H1732 that day בַּיּ֣וֹם H3117 הַה֑וּא H1931 and said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 ל֗וֹ H0 unto him Go up עֲלֵה֙ H5927 rear הָקֵ֤ם H6965 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָה֙ H3068 an altar מִזְבֵּ֔חַ H4196 in the threshingfloor בְּגֹ֖רֶן H1637 of Araunah אֲרַ֥נְיָה H728 the Jebusite הַיְבֻסִֽי׃ H2983 19 went up וַיַּ֤עַל H5927 And David דָּוִד֙ H1732 according to the saying כִּדְבַר H1697 of Gad גָּ֔ד H1410 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 commanded צִוָּ֥ה H6680 as the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 20 looked וַיַּשְׁקֵ֣ף H8259 And Araunah אֲרַ֔וְנָה H728 and saw וַיַּ֤רְא H7200 אֶת H853 himself before the king לַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 וְאֶת H853 and his servants עֲבָדָ֔יו H5650 coming on עֹֽבְרִ֖ים H5674 עָלָ֑יו H5921 went out וַיֵּצֵ֣א H3318 And Araunah אֲרַ֔וְנָה H728 and bowed וַיִּשְׁתַּ֧חוּ H7812 himself before the king לַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 on his face אַפָּ֖יו H639 upon the ground אָֽרְצָה׃ H776 21 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And Araunah אֲרַ֔וְנָה H728 מַדּ֛וּעַ H4069 come בָּ֥א H935 Wherefore is my lord אֲדֹנִֽי H113 the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 אֶל H413 to his servant עַבְדּ֑וֹ H5650 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And David דָּוִ֜ד H1732 To buy לִקְנ֧וֹת H7069 מֵֽעִמְּךָ֣ H5973 אֶת H853 the threshingfloor הַגֹּ֗רֶן H1637 of thee to build לִבְנ֤וֹת H1129 an altar מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ H4196 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֔ה H3068 may be stayed וְתֵֽעָצַ֥ר H6113 that the plague הַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה H4046 מֵעַ֥ל H5921 from the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 22 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 And Araunah אֲרַ֙וְנָה֙ H728 אֶל H413 unto David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 take יִקַּ֥ח H3947 and offer up וְיַ֛עַל H5927 Let my lord אֲדֹנִ֥י H113 the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 what seemeth good הַטּ֣וֹב H2896 unto him בְּעֵינָ֑ו H5869 behold רְאֵה֙ H7200 here be oxen הַבָּקָ֖ר H1241 for burnt sacrifice לָֽעֹלָ֔ה H5930 and threshing instruments וְהַמֹּֽרִגִּ֛ים H4173 and other instruments וּכְלֵ֥י H3627 here be oxen הַבָּקָ֖ר H1241 for wood לָֽעֵצִֽים׃ H6086 23 הַכֹּ֗ל H3605 give נָתַ֛ן H5414 All these things did Araunah אֲרַ֙וְנָה֙ H728 as a king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 as a king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 All these things did Araunah אֲרַ֙וְנָה֙ H728 אֶל H413 as a king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 The LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ H430 accept יִרְצֶֽךָ׃ H7521 24 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 And the king הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ H4428 אֶל H413 unto Araunah אֲרַ֗וְנָה H728 לֹ֤א H3808 כִּֽי H3588 Nay but I will surely וַיִּ֨קֶן H7069 Nay but I will surely וַיִּ֨קֶן H7069 מֵאֽוֹתְךָ֙ H853 it of thee at a price בִּמְחִ֔יר H4242 וְלֹ֧א H3808 neither will I offer אַֽעֲלֶ֛ה H5927 unto the LORD לַֽיהוָ֥ה H3068 my God אֱלֹהַ֖י H430 burnt offerings עֹל֣וֹת H5930 of that which doth cost me nothing חִנָּ֑ם H2600 Nay but I will surely וַיִּ֨קֶן H7069 So David דָּוִ֤ד H1732 אֶת H853 the threshingfloor הַגֹּ֙רֶן֙ H1637 וְאֶת H853 and the oxen הַבָּקָ֔ר H1241 of silver בְּכֶ֖סֶף H3701 shekels שְׁקָלִ֥ים H8255 for fifty חֲמִשִּֽׁים׃ H2572 25 built וַיִּבֶן֩ H1129 שָׁ֨ם H8033 And David דָּוִ֤ד H1732 there an altar מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ H4196 So the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 and offered וַיַּ֥עַל H5927 burnt offerings עֹל֖וֹת H5930 and peace offerings וּשְׁלָמִ֑ים H8002 was intreated וַיֵּֽעָתֵ֤ר H6279 So the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 for the land לָאָ֔רֶץ H776 was stayed וַתֵּֽעָצַ֥ר H6113 and the plague הַמַּגֵּפָ֖ה H4046 מֵעַ֥ל H5921 from Israel יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ H3478 25 built וַיִּבֶן֩ H1129 שָׁ֨ם H8033 And David דָּוִ֤ד H1732 there an altar
