מִשְׁתֶּֽה׃ H4960 21 said וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 Abner אַבְנֵ֖ר H74 אֶל H413 And David דָּוִ֛ד H1732 I will arise אָק֣וּמָה׀ H6965 וְֽאֵלֵ֡כָה H1980 and will gather וְאֶקְבְּצָה֩ H6908 אֶל H413 unto my lord אֲדֹנִ֨י H113 the king הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ H4428 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all Israel יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל H3478 that they may make וְיִכְרְת֤וּ H3772 אִתְּךָ֙ H854 a league בְּרִ֔ית H1285 with thee and that thou mayest וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 in peace בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 22 וְהִנֵּה֩ H2009 And behold the servants עַבְדֵ֨י H5650 of David דָּוִד֙ H1732 and Joab וְיוֹאָב֙ H3097 and brought in הֵבִ֑יאוּ H935 from pursuing a troop מֵֽהַגְּד֔וּד H1416 spoil וְשָׁלָ֥ל H7998 a great רָ֖ב H7227 עִמָּ֣ם H5973 and brought in הֵבִ֑יאוּ H935 with them but Abner וְאַבְנֵ֗ר H74 אֵינֶ֤נּוּ H369 עִם H5973 of David דָּוִד֙ H1732 in Hebron בְּחֶבְר֔וֹן H2275 כִּ֥י H3588 for he had sent him away שִׁלְּח֖וֹ H7971 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 in peace בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 23 Joab לְיוֹאָב֙ H3097 וְכָל H3605 and all the host הַצָּבָ֥א H6635 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֖וֹ H854 came בָּֽא H935 they told וַיַּגִּ֤דוּ H5046 Joab לְיוֹאָב֙ H3097 saying לֵאמֹ֔ר H559 came בָּֽא H935 Abner אַבְנֵ֤ר H74 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ner נֵר֙ H5369 אֶל H413 to the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 and he hath sent him away וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵ֖הוּ H7971 וַיֵּ֥לֶךְ H1980 in peace בְּשָׁלֽוֹם׃ H7965 24 came בָ֤א H935 Then Joab יוֹאָב֙ H3097 אֶל H413 to the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 and said וַיֹּ֖אמֶר H559 מֶ֣ה H4100 What hast thou done עָשִׂ֑יתָה H6213 הִנֵּה H2009 came בָ֤א H935 behold Abner אַבְנֵר֙ H74 אֵלֶ֔יךָ H413 לָמָּה H4100 זֶּ֥ה H2088 unto thee why is it that thou hast sent him away שִׁלַּחְתּ֖וֹ H7971 and he is quite הָלֽוֹךְ׃ H1980 and he is quite הָלֽוֹךְ׃ H1980 25 Thou knowest וְלָדַ֕עַת H3045 אֶת H853 Abner אַבְנֵ֣ר H74 the son בֶּן H1121 of Ner נֵ֔ר H5369 כִּ֥י H3588 H1732 לֹ֥א H3808 knew יָדָֽע׃ H3045 27 was returned וַיָּ֤שָׁב H7725 And when Abner אַבְנֵר֙ H74 to Hebron חֶבְר֔וֹן H2275 took him aside וַיַּטֵּ֤הוּ H5186 Joab יוֹאָב֙ H3097 in אֶל H413 תּ֣וֹךְ H8432 the gate הַשַּׁ֔עַר H8179 to speak לְדַּבֵּ֥ר H1696 אִתּ֖וֹ H854 with him quietly בַּשֶּׁ֑לִי H7987 and smote וַיַּכֵּ֤הוּ H5221 שָׁם֙ H8033 him there under the fifth הַחֹ֔מֶשׁ H2570 rib that he died וַיָּ֕מָת H4191 for the blood בְּדַ֖ם H1818 of Asahel עֲשָׂהאֵ֥ל H6214 his brother אָחִֽיו׃ H251 28 heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע H8085 when David דָּוִד֙ H1732 And afterward מֵאַ֣חֲרֵי H310 כֵ֔ן H3651 it house מִבֵּ֣ית H1004 and on all his father's אָבִ֑יו H1 וְֽאַל H408 and let there not fail יִכָּרֵ֣ת H3772 from the house מִבֵּ֣ית H1004 of Joab יוֹאָ֡ב H3097 one that hath an issue זָ֠ב H2100 or that is a leper וּמְצֹרָ֞ע H6879 or that leaneth וּמַֽחֲזִ֥יק H2388 on a staff בַּפֶּ֛לֶךְ H6418 or that falleth וְנֹפֵ֥ל H5307 on the sword בַּחֶ֖רֶב H2719 or that lacketh וַֽחֲסַר H2638 bread לָֽחֶם׃ H3899 30 So Joab וְיוֹאָב֙ H3097 and Abishai וַֽאֲבִישַׁ֣י H52 his brother אֲחִיהֶ֛ם H251 slew הָֽרְג֖וּ H2026 Abner לְאַבְנֵ֑ר H74 עַל֩ H5921 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 because he had slain הֵמִ֜ית H4191 אֶת H853 Asahel עֲשָׂהאֵ֧ל H6214 his brother אֲחִיהֶ֛ם H251 at Gibeon בְּגִבְע֖וֹן H1391 in the battle בַּמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ H4421 31 said וַיֹּאמֶר֩ H559 And David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 אֶל H413 to Joab יוֹאָ֜ב H3097 וְאֶל H413 כָּל H3605 and to all the people הָעָ֣ם H5971 אֲשֶׁר H834 אִתּ֗וֹ H854 that were with him Rend קִרְע֤וּ H7167 your clothes בִגְדֵיכֶם֙ H899 and gird וְחִגְר֣וּ H2296 you with sackcloth שַׂקִּ֔ים H8242 and mourn וְסִפְד֖וּ H5594 before לִפְנֵ֣י H6440 Abner אַבְנֵ֑ר H74 And king וְהַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 And David דָּוִ֔ד H1732 himself followed הֹלֵ֖ךְ H1980 אַֽחֲרֵ֥י H310 the bier הַמִּטָּֽה׃ H4296 32 And they buried וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ H6912 אֶת H853 Abner אַבְנֵ֔ר H74 in Hebron בְּחֶבְר֑וֹן H2275 lifted up וַיִשָּׂ֧א H5375 and the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 אֶת H853 his voice קוֹל֗וֹ H6963 and wept וַיִּבְכּ֖וּ H1058 אֶל H413 at the grave קֶ֣בֶר H6913 Abner אַבְנֵ֔ר H74 and wept וַיִּבְכּ֖וּ H1058 כָּל H3605 and all the people הָעָֽם׃ H5971 33 lamented וַיְקֹנֵ֥ן H6969 And the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 אֶל H413 Abner אַבְנֵֽר׃ H74 and said וַיֹּאמַ֑ר H559 dieth הַכְּמ֥וֹת H4194 as a fool נָבָ֖ל H5036 Died יָמ֥וּת H4191 Abner אַבְנֵֽר׃ H74 34 Thy hands יָדֶ֣ךָ H3027 לֹֽא H3808 were not bound
