servants לְעַבְד֖וֹהִי H5649 the interpretation וּפִשְׁרָ֥ה H6591 and we will shew נְהַחֲוֵֽה׃ H2324 8 answered עָנֵ֤ה H6032 The king מַלְכָּא֙ H4430 and said וְאָמַ֔ר H560 is מִנִּ֥י H4481 of certainty יַצִּיב֙ H3330 know יָדַ֣ע H3046 I אֲנָ֔ה H576 דִּ֥י H1768 the time עִדָּנָ֖א H5732 that ye אַנְתּ֣וּן H608 would gain זָבְנִ֑ין H2084 כָּל H3606 because קֳבֵל֙ H6903 דִּ֣י H1768 ye see there is אִיתֽוֹהִי׃ H383 דִּ֥י H1768 that can shew יְחַוִּנַּ֖הּ H2324 it before קֳדָ֣ם H6925 that the king מַלְכָּ֑א H4430 except לָהֵ֣ן H3861 the gods אֱלָהִ֔ין H426 דִּ֚י H1768 whose dwelling מְדָ֣רְה֔וֹן H4070 with עִם H5974 flesh בִּשְׂרָ֖א H1321 none לָ֥א H3809 and there is אִיתֽוֹהִי׃ H383 12 all לְכֹ֖ל H3606 For קֳבֵ֣ל H6903 this דְּנָ֔ה H1836 the king מַלְכָּ֕א H4430 was angry בְּנַ֖ס H1149 furious וּקְצַ֣ף H7108 and very שַׂגִּ֑יא H7690 and commanded וַאֲמַר֙ H560 to destroy לְה֣וֹבָדָ֔ה H7 all לְכֹ֖ל H3606 the wise חַכִּימֵ֥י H2445 men of Babylon בָבֶֽל׃ H895 13 And the decree וְדָתָ֣א H1882 went forth נֶפְקַ֔ת H5312 that the wise וְחַכִּֽימַיָּ֖א H2445 men should be slain לְהִתְקְטָלָֽה׃ H6992 and they sought וּבְע֛וֹ H1156 Daniel דָּנִיֵּ֥אל H1841 and his fellows וְחַבְר֖וֹהִי H2269 men should be slain לְהִתְקְטָלָֽה׃ H6992 14 Then בֵּאדַ֣יִן H116 Daniel דָּנִיֵּ֗אל H1841 answered הֲתִיב֙ H8421 with counsel עֵטָ֣א H5843 and wisdom וּטְעֵ֔ם H2942 to Arioch לְאַרְי֕וֹךְ H746 the captain רַב H7229 guard טַבָּחַיָּ֖א H2877 of דִּ֚י H1768 the king's מַלְכָּ֑א H4430 of דִּ֚י H1768 which was gone forth נְפַ֣ק H5312 to slay לְקַטָּלָ֔ה H6992 the wise לְחַכִּימֵ֖י H2445 men of Babylon בָּבֶֽל׃ H895 15 He answered עָנֵ֣ה H6032 and said וְאָמַ֗ר H560 Arioch אַרְי֖וֹךְ H746 captain שַׁלִּיטָ֣א H7990 דִֽי H1768 the king מַלְכָּ֑א H4430 עַל H5922 Why מָ֥ה H4101 is the decree דָתָ֛א H1882 so hasty מְהַחְצְפָ֖ה H2685 from מִן H4481 קֳדָ֣ם H6925 the king מַלְכָּ֑א H4430 Then אֱדַ֣יִן H116 made the thing מִלְּתָ֔א H4406 known הוֹדַ֥ע H3046 Arioch אַרְי֖וֹךְ H746 to Daniel לְדָנִיֵּֽאל׃ H1841 16 Then Daniel וְדָ֣נִיֵּ֔אל H1841 went in עַ֖ל H5954 and desired וּבְעָ֣ה H1156 of מִן H4481 the king לְמַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 דִּ֚י H1768 him time זְמָ֣ן H2166 that he would give יִנְתֵּן H5415 לֵ֔הּ H0 the interpretation וּפִשְׁרָ֖א H6591 and that he would shew לְהַֽחֲוָיָ֥ה H2324 the king לְמַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 17 Then אֱדַ֥יִן H116 Daniel דָּֽנִיֵּ֖אל H1841 to his house לְבַיְתֵ֣הּ H1005 went אֲזַ֑ל H236 to Hananiah וְ֠לַחֲנַנְיָה H2608 Mishael מִֽישָׁאֵ֧ל H4333 and Azariah וַעֲזַרְיָ֛ה H5839 his companions חַבְר֖וֹהִי H2269 and made the thing מִלְּתָ֥א H4406 known הוֹדַֽע׃ H3046 18 mercies וְרַחֲמִ֗ין H7359 That they would desire לְמִבְעֵא֙ H1156 of מִן H4481 קֳדָם֙ H6925 the God אֱלָ֣הּ H426 of heaven שְׁמַיָּ֔א H8065 concerning עַל H5922 secret רָזָ֖א H7328 this דְּנָ֑ה H1836 דִּ֣י H1768 should not לָ֤א H3809 perish יְהֽוֹבְדוּן֙ H7 that Daniel דָּנִיֵּ֣אל H1841 and his fellows וְחַבְר֔וֹהִי H2269 with עִם H5974 the rest שְׁאָ֖ר H7606 of the wise חַכִּימֵ֥י H2445 men of Babylon בָבֶֽל׃ H895 19 Then אֱדַ֙יִן֙ H116 Daniel דָּֽנִיֵּ֔אל H1841 vision בְּחֶזְוָ֥א H2376 דִֽי H1768 in a night לֵילְיָ֖א H3916 was the secret רָזָ֣א H7328 revealed גֲלִ֑י H1541 Then אֱדַ֙יִן֙ H116 Daniel דָּֽנִיֵּ֔אל H1841 blessed בָּרִ֖ךְ H1289 the God לֶאֱלָ֥הּ H426 of heaven שְׁמַיָּֽא׃ H8065 20 answered עָנֵ֤ה H6032 Daniel דָֽנִיֵּאל֙ H1841 and said וְאָמַ֔ר H560 be לֶהֱוֵ֨א H1934 the name שְׁמֵ֤הּ H8036 דִּֽי H1768 of God אֱלָהָא֙ H426 Blessed מְבָרַ֔ךְ H1289 for מִן H4481 ever עָלְמָ֑א H5957 and ever וְעַ֣ד H5705 ever עָלְמָ֑א H5957 דִּ֧י H1768 for wisdom חָכְמְתָ֛א H2452 and might וּגְבוּרְתָ֖א H1370 דִּ֥י H1768 לֵֽהּ H0 are הִֽיא׃ H1932 21 וְ֠הוּא H1932 And he changeth מְהַשְׁנֵ֤א H8133 the times עִדָּנַיָּא֙ H5732 and the seasons וְזִמְנַיָּ֔א H2166 he removeth מְהַעְדֵּ֥ה H5709 kings מַלְכִ֑ין H4430 and setteth up וּמְהָקֵ֣ים H6966 kings מַלְכִ֑ין H4430 he giveth יָהֵ֤ב H3052 wisdom חָכְמְתָא֙ H2452 unto the wise לְחַכִּימִ֔ין H2445 and knowledge וּמַנְדְּעָ֖א H4486 to them that know לְיָדְעֵ֥י H3046 understanding בִינָֽה׃ H999 22 ה֛וּא H1932 He revealeth גָּלֵ֥א H1541 the deep עַמִּיקָתָ֖א H5994 and secret things וּמְסַתְּרָתָ֑א H5642 he knoweth יָדַע֙ H3046 what מָ֣ה H4101 is in the darkness בַחֲשׁוֹכָ֔א H2816 and the light וּנְהיֹרָ֖א H5094 with him עִמֵּ֥הּ H5974 dwelleth שְׁרֵֽא׃ H8271 23 לָ֣ךְ׀ H0 thee O thou God אֱלָ֣הּ H426 of my fathers אֲבָהָתִ֗י H2 thank מְהוֹדֵ֤א H3029 thee and praise וּמְשַׁבַּח֙ H7624 I אֲנָ֔ה H576 דִּ֧י H1768 me wisdom חָכְמְתָ֛א H2452 and might וּגְבוּרְתָ֖א H1370 who hast given יְהַ֣בְתְּ H3052 לִ֑י H0 unto me now וּכְעַ֤ן H3705 and hast made known הוֹדַעְתֶּֽנָא׃ H3046 דִּֽי H1768 what we desired בְעֵ֣ינָא H1156 of thee מִנָּ֔ךְ H4481 דִּֽי H1768 matter מִלַּ֥ת H4406 unto us the king's מַלְכָּ֖א H4430 and hast made known הוֹדַעְתֶּֽנָא׃ H3046 24 Therefore כָּל H3606 קֳבֵ֣ל H6903 דְּנָ֗ה H1836 Daniel דָּֽנִיֵּאל֙ H1841 bring me in הַעֵ֙לְנִי֙ H5954 unto עַל H5922 Arioch אַרְי֔וֹךְ H746 דִּ֚י H1768 had ordained מַנִּ֣י H4483 the king לְמַלְכָּ֥א H4430 to destroy תְּהוֹבֵ֔ד H7 the wise לְחַכִּימֵ֤י H2445 men of Babylon בָבֶל֙ H895 he went אֲזַ֣ל׀ H236 thus וְכֵ֣ן H3652 and said אֲמַר H560 לֵ֗הּ H0 the wise לְחַכִּימֵ֤י H2445 men of Babylon בָבֶל֙ H895 not אַל H409 to destroy תְּהוֹבֵ֔ד H7 bring me in הַעֵ֙לְנִי֙ H5954 before קֳדָ֣ם H6925 the king לְמַלְכָּ֥א H4430 the interpretation וּפִשְׁרָ֖א H6591 the king לְמַלְכָּ֥א H4430 and I will shew אֲחַוֵּֽא׃ H2324 25 Then אֱדַ֤יִן H116 Arioch אַרְיוֹךְ֙ H746 in haste בְּהִתְבְּהָלָ֔ה H927 brought in הַנְעֵ֥ל H5954 Daniel לְדָנִיֵּ֖אל H1841 before קֳדָ֣ם H6925 the king לְמַלְכָּ֥א H4430 thus וְכֵ֣ן H3652 and said אֲמַר H560 לֵ֗הּ H0 דִּֽי H1768 unto him I have found הַשְׁכַּ֤חַת H7912 a man גְּבַר֙ H1400 of מִן H4481 of the captives בְּנֵ֤י H1123 גָֽלוּתָא֙ H1547 דִּ֣י H1768 Judah יְה֔וּד H3061 דִּ֥י H1768 the interpretation פִשְׁרָ֖א H6591 the king לְמַלְכָּ֥א H4430 that will make known יְהוֹדַֽע׃ H3046 26 answered עָנֵ֤ה H6032 The king מַלְכָּא֙ H4430 and said וְאָמַ֣ר H560 to Daniel לְדָנִיֵּ֔אל H1841 דִּ֥י H1768 whose name שְׁמֵ֖הּ H8036 was Belteshazzar בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֑ר H1096 Art הַֽאִיתָ֣יךְ H383 thou able כָּהֵ֗ל H3546 to make known לְהוֹדָעֻתַ֛נִי H3046 unto me the dream חֶלְמָ֥א H2493 דִֽי H1768 which I have seen חֲזֵ֖ית H2370 and the interpretation וּפִשְׁרֵֽהּ׃ H6591 27 answered עָנֵ֧ה H6032 Daniel דָנִיֵּ֛אל H1841 in the presence קֳדָ֥ם H6925 of the king לְמַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 and said וְאָמַ֑ר H560 The secret רָזָא֙ H7328 דִּֽי H1768 of the king לְמַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 hath demanded שָׁאֵ֔ל H7593 לָ֧א H3809 the wise חַכִּימִ֣ין H2445 men the astrologers אָֽשְׁפִ֗ין H826 the magicians חַרְטֻמִּין֙ H2749 the soothsayers גָּזְרִ֔ין H1505 cannot יָכְלִ֖ין H3202 shew לְהַֽחֲוָיָ֥ה H2324 of the king לְמַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 28 But בְּרַ֡ם H1297 there is אִיתַ֞י H383 a God אֱלָ֤הּ H426 in heaven בִּשְׁמַיָּא֙ H8065 that revealeth גָּלֵ֣א H1541 secrets רָזִ֔ין H7328 and maketh known וְהוֹדַ֗ע H3046 to the king לְמַלְכָּא֙ H4430 Nebuchadnezzar נְבֽוּכַדְנֶצַּ֔ר H5020 what מָ֛ה H4101 דִּ֥י H1768 shall be לֶהֱוֵ֖א H1934 in the latter בְּאַחֲרִ֣ית H320 days יוֹמַיָּ֑א H3118 Thy dream חֶלְמָ֨ךְ H2493 and the visions וְחֶזְוֵ֥י H2376 of thy head רֵאשָׁ֛ךְ H7217 upon עַֽל H5922 thy bed מִשְׁכְּבָ֖ךְ H4903 are these דְּנָ֥ה H1836 הֽוּא׃ H1932 29 As for thee אַ֣נְתְּה H607 O king מַלְכָּ֗א H4430 thy thoughts רַעְיוֹנָךְ֙ H7476 into thy mind upon עַל H5922 thy bed מִשְׁכְּבָ֣ךְ H4903 came סְלִ֔קוּ H5559 to thee what מָה H4101 דִּ֥י H1768 shall come to pass לֶהֱוֵֽא׃ H1934 hereafter אַחֲרֵ֣י H311 דְנָ֑ה H1836 and he that revealeth וְגָלֵ֧א H1541 secrets רָזַיָּ֛א H7328 maketh known הוֹדְעָ֖ךְ H3046 to thee what מָה H4101 דִ֥י H1768 shall come to pass לֶהֱוֵֽא׃ H1934 30 But as for me וַאֲנָ֗ה H576 is not לָ֤א H3809 to me for any wisdom בְחָכְמָה֙ H2452 דִּֽי H1768 that I have אִיתַ֥י H383 בִּי֙ H0 more than מִן H4481 any כָּל H3606 living חַיַּיָּ֔א H2417 secret רָזָ֥א H7328 this דְנָ֖ה H1836 revealed גֱּלִ֣י H1541 לִ֑י H0 but לָהֵ֗ן H3861 that עַל H5922 for their sakes דִּבְרַת֙ H1701 דִּ֤י H1768 the interpretation פִשְׁרָא֙ H6591 to the king לְמַלְכָּ֣א H4430 and that thou mightest know תִּנְדַּֽע׃ H3046 the thoughts וְרַעְיוֹנֵ֥י H7476 of thy heart לִבְבָ֖ךְ H3825 and that thou mightest know תִּנְדַּֽע׃ H3046 31 Thou אַ֣נְתְּה H607 O king מַלְכָּ֗א H4430 חָזֵ֤ה H2370 sawest הֲוַ֙יְתָ֙ H1934 and behold וַאֲל֨וּ H431 image צַלְמָ֨א H6755 a great חַד֙ H2298 שַׂגִּ֔יא H7690 image צַלְמָ֨א H6755 This דִּכֵּ֥ן H1797 great רַ֛ב H7229 whose brightness וְזִיוֵ֥הּ H2122 was excellent יַתִּ֖יר H3493 stood קָאֵ֣ם H6966 before לְקָבְלָ֑ךְ H6903 thee and the form וְרֵוֵ֖הּ H7299 thereof was terrible דְּחִֽיל׃ H1763 32 ה֣וּא H1932 This image's צַלְמָ֗א H6755 head רֵאשֵׁהּ֙ H7217 דִּֽי H1768 gold דְהַ֣ב H1722 was of fine טָ֔ב H2869 his breast חֲד֥וֹהִי H2306 and his arms וּדְרָע֖וֹהִי H1872 דִּ֣י H1768 of silver כְסַ֑ף H3702 his belly מְע֥וֹהִי H4577 and his thighs וְיַרְכָתֵ֖הּ H3410 דִּ֥י H1768 of brass נְחָֽשׁ׃ H5174 33 His legs שָׁק֖וֹהִי H8243 דִּ֣י H1768 of iron פַרְזֶ֔ל H6523 his feet רַגְל֕וֹהִי H7271 and part וּמִנְּהֵ֖ון H4481 דִּ֣י H1768 of iron פַרְזֶ֔ל H6523 and part וּמִנְּהֵ֖ון H4481 דִּ֥י H1768 of clay חֲסַֽף׃ H2635 34 Thou sawest חָזֵ֣ה H2370 הֲוַ֗יְתָ H1934 till עַ֠ד H5705 דִּ֣י H1768 was cut out הִתְגְּזֶ֤רֶת H1505 that a stone אֶ֙בֶן֙ H69 דִּי H1768 without לָ֣א H3809 hands בִידַ֔יִן H3028 which smote וּמְחָ֤ת H4223 the image לְצַלְמָא֙ H6755 upon עַל H5922 his feet רַגְל֔וֹהִי H7271 דִּ֥י
