cried קָרֵ֨א H7123 aloud בְחַ֜יִל H2429 thus וְכֵ֣ן H3652 and said אָמַ֗ר H560 Hew down גֹּ֤דּוּ H1414 the tree אִֽילָנָא֙ H363 and cut off וְקַצִּ֣צוּ H7113 his branches עַנְפֽוֹהִי׃ H6056 shake off אַתַּ֥רוּ H5426 his leaves עָפְיֵ֖הּ H6074 and scatter וּבַדַּ֣רוּ H921 his fruit אִנְבֵּ֑הּ H4 get away תְּנֻ֤ד H5111 let the beasts חֵֽיוְתָא֙ H2423 from מִן H4481 under it תַּחְתּ֔וֹהִי H8479 and שְׁבֻ֔קוּ H7662 even with a band וּבֶֽאֱסוּר֙ H613 דִּֽי H1768 of iron פַרְזֶ֣ל H6523 and brass וּנְחָ֔שׁ H5174 in the tender grass בְּדִתְאָ֖א H1883 דִּ֣י H1768 of the field בָרָ֑א H1251 with the dew וּבְטַ֤ל H2920 of heaven שְׁמַיָּא֙ H8065 and let it be wet יִצְטַבַּ֔ע H6647 be with וְעִם H5974 the beasts חֵיוְתָ֥א H2423 and let his portion חֲלָקֵ֖הּ H2508 in the grass בַּעֲשַׂ֥ב H6211 in the matter פִּתְגָמָ֔א H6600 by the word וּמֵאמַ֥ר H3983 of the holy ones קַדִּישִׁ֖ין H6922 and the demand שְׁאֵֽלְתָ֑א H7595 to עַד H5705 the intent דִּבְרַ֡ת H1701 דִּ֣י H1768 may know יִנְדְּע֣וּן כְּשָׁעָ֣ה H8160 for one חֲדָ֔ה H2298 and his thoughts וְרַעְיֹנֹ֖הִי H7476 thereof trouble יְבַהֲלָ֔ךְ H927 answered עָנֵ֤ה H6032 him The king מַלְכָּ֜א H4430 and said וְאָמַ֔ר H560 Belteshazzar בֵלְטְשַׁאצַּר֙ H1096 the dream חֶלְמָ֥א H2493 or the interpretation וּפִשְׁרֵ֥הּ H6591 let not אַֽל H409 thereof trouble יְבַהֲלָ֔ךְ H927 answered עָנֵ֤ה H6032 Belteshazzar בֵלְטְשַׁאצַּר֙ H1096 and said וְאָמַ֔ר H560 My lord מָרִ֕אי H4756 the dream חֶלְמָ֥א H2493 be to them that hate לְשָֽׂנְאָ֖יךְ H8131 or the interpretation וּפִשְׁרֵ֥הּ H6591 thereof to thine enemies לְעָרָֽיךְ׃ H6146 20 The tree אִֽילָנָא֙ H363 דִּ֣י H1768 that thou sawest חֲזַ֔יְתָ H2370 דִּ֥י H1768 which grew רְבָ֖ה H7236 and was strong וּתְקִ֑ף H8631 whose height וְרוּמֵהּ֙ H7314 reached יִמְטֵ֣א H4291 unto the heaven לִשְׁמַיָּ֔א H8065 and the sight וַחֲזוֹתֵ֖הּ H2379 thereof to all לְכָל H3606 the earth אַרְעָֽא׃ H772 21 Whose leaves וְעָפְיֵ֤הּ H6074 were fair שַׁפִּיר֙ H8209 and the fruit וְאִנְבֵּ֣הּ H4 thereof much שַׂגִּ֔יא H7690 and in it was meat וּמָז֨וֹן H4203 for all לְכֹ֖לָּא H3606 בֵ֑הּ H0 under תְּחֹת֗וֹהִי H8460 dwelt תְּדוּר֙ H1753 which the beasts חֵיוַ֣ת H2423 of the field בָּרָ֔א H1251 and upon whose branches וּבְעַנְפ֕וֹהִי H6056 had their habitation יִשְׁכְּנָ֖ן H7932 the fowls צִפֲּרֵ֥י H6853 of the heaven שְׁמַיָּֽא׃ H8065 22 It is thou אַנְתְּה H607 ה֣וּא H1932 O king מַלְכָּ֔א H4430 דִּ֥י H1768 is grown רְבָת֙ H7236 and become strong וּתְקֵ֑פְתְּ H8631 for thy greatness וּרְבוּתָ֤ךְ H7238 is grown רְבָת֙ H7236 and reacheth וּמְטָ֣ת H4291 unto heaven לִשְׁמַיָּ֔א H8065 and thy dominion וְשָׁלְטָנָ֖ךְ H7985 to the end לְס֥וֹף H5491 of the earth אַרְעָֽא׃ H772 23 וְדִ֣י H1768 saw חֲזָ֣ה H2370 And whereas the king מַלְכָּ֡א H4430 a watcher עִ֣יר H5894 and an holy one וְקַדִּ֣ישׁ H6922 coming down נָחִ֣ת׀ H5182 from מִן H4481 heaven שְׁמַיָּ֣א H8065 and saying וְאָמַר֩ H560 Hew גֹּ֨דּוּ H1414 the tree אִֽילָנָ֜א H363 and destroy וְחַבְּל֗וּהִי H2255 it yet בְּרַ֨ם H1297 the stump עִקַּ֤ר H6136 of the roots שָׁרְשׁ֙וֹהִי֙ H8330 thereof in the earth בְּאַרְעָ֣א H772 leave שְׁבֻ֔קוּ H7662 even with a band וּבֶאֱסוּר֙ H613 דִּֽי H1768 of iron פַרְזֶ֣ל H6523 and עֲלֽוֹהִי׃ H5922 24 This דְּנָ֥ה H1836 is the interpretation פִשְׁרָ֖א H6591 O king מַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 is the decree וּגְזֵרַ֤ת H1510 of the most High עִלָּיָא֙ H5943 and this הִ֔יא H1932 דִּ֥י H1768 which is come מְטָ֖ת H4291 upon עַל H5922 my lord מַרִ֥אי H4756 O king מַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 25 וְלָ֣ךְ H0 That they shall drive טָֽרְדִ֣ין H2957 thee from מִן H4481 men אֲנָשָׁ֔א H606 with וְעִם H5974 the beasts חֵיוַ֣ת H2423 of the field בָּרָא֩ H1251 shall be לֶהֱוֵ֨ה H1934 and thy dwelling מְדֹרָ֜ךְ H4070 grass וְעִשְׂבָּ֥א H6211 as oxen כְתוֹרִ֣ין׀ H8450 לָ֣ךְ H0 and they shall make thee to eat יְטַֽעֲמ֗וּן H2939 thee with the dew וּמִטַּ֤ל H2920 of heaven שְׁמַיָּא֙ H8065 לָ֣ךְ H0 and they shall wet מְצַבְּעִ֔ין H6647 and seven וְשִׁבְעָ֥ה H7655 times עִדָּנִ֖ין H5732 shall pass יַחְלְפ֣וּן H2499 over עֲלָ֑יךְ H5922 thee till עַ֣ד H5705 דִּֽי H1768 thou know תִנְדַּ֗ע H3046 דִּֽי H1768 ruleth שַׁלִּ֤יט H7990 that the most High עִלָּיָא֙ H5943 in the kingdom בְּמַלְכ֣וּת H4437 men אֲנָשָׁ֔א H606 it to whomsoever וּלְמַן H4479 דִּ֥י H1768 he will יִצְבֵּ֖א H6634 and giveth יִתְּנִנַּֽהּ׃ H5415 26 וְדִ֣י H1768 And whereas they commanded אֲמַ֗רוּ H560 to leave לְמִשְׁבַּ֞ק H7662 the stump עִקַּ֤ר H6136 roots שָׁרְשׁ֙וֹהִי֙ H8330 דִּ֣י H1768 of the tree אִֽילָנָ֔א H363 thy kingdom מַלְכוּתָ֖ךְ H4437 לָ֣ךְ H0 shall be sure קַיָּמָ֑ה H7011 unto thee after מִן H4481 דִּ֣י H1768 that thou shalt have known תִנְדַּ֔ע H3046 דִּ֥י H1768 do rule שַׁלִּטִ֖ן H7990 that the heavens שְׁמַיָּֽא׃ H8065 27 Wherefore לָהֵ֣ן H3861 O king מַלְכָּ֗א H4430 let my counsel מִלְכִּי֙ H4431 be acceptable יִשְׁפַּ֣ר H8232 unto thee עֲלָ֔יךְ H5922 thy sins וַחֲטָיָךְ֙ H2408 by righteousness בְּצִדְקָ֣ה H6665 and break off פְרֻ֔ק H6562 and thine iniquities וַעֲוָיָתָ֖ךְ H5758 by shewing mercy בְּמִחַ֣ן H2604 to the poor עֲנָ֑יִן H6033 if הֵ֛ן H2006 it may be תֶּֽהֱוֵ֥ה H1934 a lengthening אַרְכָ֖ה H754 of thy tranquillity לִשְׁלֵוְתָֽךְ׃ H7963 28 All כֹּ֣לָּא H3606 this came מְּטָ֔א H4291 upon עַל H5922 Nebuchadnezzar נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֖ר H5020 the king מַלְכָּֽא׃ H4430 29 At the end לִקְצָ֥ת H7118 months יַרְחִ֖ין H3393 of twelve תְּרֵֽי H8648 עֲשַׂ֑ר H6236 in עַל H5922 the palace הֵיכַ֧ל H1965 of the kingdom מַלְכוּתָ֛א H4437 דִּ֥י H1768 of Babylon בָבֶ֖ל H895 מְהַלֵּ֥ךְ H1981 he walked הֲוָֽה׃ H1934 30 spake עָנֵ֤ה H6032 The king מַלְכָּא֙ H4430 and said וְאָמַ֔ר H560 Is not הֲלָ֥א H3809 דָא H1668 this הִ֖יא H1932 Babylon בָּבֶ֣ל H895 great רַבְּתָ֑א H7229 דִּֽי H1768 that I אֲנָ֤ה H576 have built בֱנַיְתַהּ֙ H1124 for the house לְבֵ֣ית H1005 of the kingdom מַלְכ֔וּ H4437 by the might בִּתְקַ֥ף H8632 of my power חִסְנִ֖י H2632 and for the honour וְלִיקָ֥ר H3367 of my majesty הַדְרִֽי׃ H1923 31 While ע֗וֹד H5751 the word מִלְּתָא֙ H4406 mouth בְּפֻ֣ם H6433 saying O king מַלְכָּ֔א H4430 a voice קָ֖ל H7032 from מִנָּֽךְ׃ H4481 heaven שְׁמַיָּ֣א H8065 there fell נְפַ֑ל H5308 לָ֤ךְ H0 to thee it is spoken אָֽמְרִין֙ H560 Nebuchadnezzar נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר H5020 saying O king מַלְכָּ֔א H4430 The kingdom מַלְכוּתָ֖ה H4437 is departed עֲדָ֥ת H5709 from מִנָּֽךְ׃ H4481 32 thee from וּמִן H4481 men אֲנָשָׁ֔א H606 לָ֨ךְ H0 And they shall drive טָֽרְדִ֜ין H2957 shall be with וְֽעִם H5974 the beasts חֵיוַ֧ת H2423 of the field בָּרָ֣א H1251 and thy dwelling מְדֹרָ֗ךְ H4070 grass עִשְׂבָּ֤א H6211 as oxen כְתוֹרִין֙ H8450 לָ֣ךְ H0 they shall make thee to eat יְטַעֲמ֔וּן whose works מַעֲבָד֙וֹהִי֙ H4567 are truth קְשֹׁ֔ט H7187 and his ways וְאֹרְחָתֵ֖הּ H735 judgment דִּ֑ין H1780 וְדִי֙ H1768 and those that walk מַהְלְכִ֣ין H1981 in pride בְּגֵוָ֔ה H1467 he is able
