H6903 of the words מִלֵּ֤י H4406 O king מַלְכָּא֙ H4430 and his lords וְרַבְרְבָנ֔וֹהִי H7261 house לְבֵ֥ית H1005 into the banquet מִשְׁתְּיָ֖א H4961 came עַלַּ֑לת H5954 spake עֲנָ֨ת H6032 Now the queen מַלְכְּתָ֜א H4433 and said וַאֲמֶ֗רֶת H560 O king מַלְכָּא֙ H4430 for ever לְעָלְמִ֣ין H5957 live חֱיִ֔י H2418 let not אַל H409 trouble יְבַהֲלוּךְ֙ H927 thy thoughts רַעְיוֹנָ֔ךְ H7476 thee nor בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֑ר H1096 now כְּעַ֛ן H3705 in the same Daniel דָּנִיֵּ֥אל H1841 be called יִתְקְרֵ֖י H7123 the interpretation וּפִשְׁרָ֥ה H6591 and he will shew יְהַֽחֲוֵֽה׃ H2324 13 Then בֵּאדַ֙יִן֙ H1841 Art thou אַנְתְּה H607 ה֤וּא H1932 that Daniel דָנִיֵּאל֙ H1841 דִּֽי H1768 out מִן H4481 the children בְּנֵ֤י H1123 of the captivity גָלוּתָא֙ H1547 דִּ֣י H1768 of Jewry יְהֽוּד׃ H3061 דִּ֥י H1768 brought הַיְתִ֛י H858 And the king מַלְכָּ֥א H4430 my father אַ֖בִי H2 out מִן H4481 of Jewry יְהֽוּד׃ H3061 14 I have even heard וְשִׁמְעֵ֣ת H8086 is in thee עֲלָ֔יךְ H5922 דִּ֛י H1768 of thee that the spirit ר֥וּחַ H7308 of the gods אֱלָהִ֖ין H426 בָּ֑ךְ H0 and that light וְנַהִיר֧וּ H5094 and understanding וְשָׂכְלְתָנ֛וּ H7924 wisdom וְחָכְמָ֥ה H2452 and excellent יַתִּירָ֖ה H3493 is found הִשְׁתְּכַ֥חַת H7912 בָּֽךְ׃ H0 15 And now וּכְעַ֞ן H3705 have been brought הֻעַ֣לּוּ H5954 in before קָֽדָמַ֗י H6925 the wise חַכִּֽימַיָּא֙ H2445 men the astrologers אָֽשְׁפַיָּ֔א H826 דִּֽי H1768 writing כְתָבָ֤ה H3792 this דְנָה֙ H1836 me that they should read יִקְר֔וֹן H7123 the interpretation פְּשַֽׁר H6591 and make known לְהוֹדָעֻתַ֑נִי H3046 not וְלָֽא H3809 thereof but they could כָהֲלִ֥ין H3546 the interpretation פְּשַֽׁר H6591 of the thing מִלְּתָ֖א H4406 shew לְהַחֲוָיָֽה׃ H2324 16 And I וַאֲנָה֙ H576 have heard שִׁמְעֵ֣ת H8086 עֲלָ֔יךְ H5921 דִּֽי H1768 that thou canst תִּוכֻּ֨ל H3202 interpretations וּפִשְׁרֵהּ֙ H6591 make לְמִפְשַׁ֖ר H6590 doubts וְקִטְרִ֣ין H7001 and dissolve לְמִשְׁרֵ֑א H8271 now כְּעַ֡ן H3705 if הֵן֩ H2006 that thou canst תִּוכֻּ֨ל H3202 the writing כְּתָבָ֜א H3792 read לְמִקְרֵ֗א H7123 interpretations וּפִשְׁרֵהּ֙ H6591 and make known לְהוֹדָ֣עוּתַ֔נִי H3046 with scarlet אַרְגְּוָנָ֣א H711 thereof thou shalt be clothed תִלְבַּ֗שׁ H3848 תִּשְׁלַֽט׃ H7981 17 Then בֵּאדַ֜יִן H116 answered עָנֵ֣ה H6032 Daniel דָנִיֵּ֗אל H1841 and said וְאָמַר֙ H560 before קֳדָ֣ם H6925 the king לְמַלְכָּ֔א H4430 Let thy gifts מַתְּנָתָךְ֙ H4978 לָ֣ךְ H0 be לֶֽהֶוְיָ֔ן H1934 thy rewards וּנְבָ֥זְבְּיָתָ֖ךְ H5023 to another לְאָחֳרָ֣ן H321 to thyself and give הַ֑ב H3052 yet בְּרַ֗ם H1297 the writing כְּתָבָא֙ H3792 I will read אֶקְרֵ֣א H7123 the king לְמַלְכָּ֔א H4430 to him the interpretation וּפִשְׁרָ֖א H6591 and make known אֲהוֹדְעִנֵּֽהּ׃ H3046 18 O thou אַ֖נְתְּה H607 king מַלְכָּ֑א H4430 God אֱלָהָא֙ H426 the most high עִלָּיָ֔א H5943 a kingdom מַלְכוּתָ֤א H4437 and majesty וּרְבוּתָא֙ H7238 and glory וִיקָרָ֣א H3367 and honour וְהַדְרָ֔א H1923 gave יְהַ֖ב H3052 Nebuchadnezzar לִנְבֻכַדְנֶצַּ֥ר H5020 thy father אֲבֽוּךְ׃ H2 19 And for מִן H4481 the majesty רְבוּתָא֙ H7238 דִּ֣י H1768 that he gave יְהַב H3052 לֵ֔הּ H0 him all כֹּ֣ל H3606 people עַֽמְמַיָּ֗א H5972 nations אֻמַיָּא֙ H524 and languages וְלִשָּׁ֣נַיָּ֔א H3961 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 זָאְעִ֥ין H2112 and feared וְדָחֲלִ֖ין H1763 And for מִן H4481 him קֳדָמ֑וֹהִי H6925 דִּֽי H1768 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 צָבֵ֜א H6634 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 קָטֵ֗ל H6992 וְדִֽי H1768 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 צָבֵא֙ H6634 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 מַחֵ֔א H2418 וְדִֽי H1768 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 צָבֵא֙ H6634 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 מָרִ֔ים H7313 וְדִֽי H1768 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 צָבֵ֖א H6634 he set up הֲוָ֥א H1934 מַשְׁפִּֽל׃ H8214 20 וּכְדִי֙ H1768 was lifted up רִ֣ם H7313 But when his heart לִבְבֵ֔הּ H3825 and his mind וְרוּחֵ֖הּ H7308 hardened תִּֽקְפַ֣ת H8631 in pride לַהֲזָדָ֑ה H2103 he was deposed הָנְחַת֙ H5182 from מִנֵּֽהּ׃ H4481 throne כָּרְסֵ֣א H3764 his kingly מַלְכוּתֵ֔הּ H4437 his glory וִֽיקָרָ֖ה H3367 and they took הֶעְדִּ֥יוּ H5709 from מִנֵּֽהּ׃ H4481 21 from וּמִן H4481 the sons בְּנֵי֩ H1123 of men אֲנָשָׁ֔א H606 And he was driven טְרִ֜יד H2957 and his heart וְלִבְבֵ֣הּ׀ H3825 like וְעִם H5974 the beasts חֵיוְתָ֣א H2423 was made שַׁוִּ֗י H7739 like וְעִם H5974 was with the wild asses עֲרָֽדַיָּא֙ H6167 and his dwelling מְדוֹרֵ֔הּ H4070 him with grass עִשְׂבָּ֤א H6211 like oxen כְתוֹרִין֙ H8450 they fed יְטַ֣עֲמוּנֵּ֔הּ H2939 with the dew וּמִטַּ֥ל H2920 of heaven שְׁמַיָּ֖א H8065 and his body גִּשְׁמֵ֣הּ H1655 was wet יִצְטַבַּ֑ע H6647 till עַ֣ד H5705 דִּֽי H1768 he knew יְדַ֗ע H3046 דִּֽי H1768 ruled שַׁלִּ֞יט H7990 God אֱלָהָ֤א H426 that the most high עִלָּיָא֙ H5943 in the kingdom בְּמַלְכ֣וּת H4437 of men אֲנָשָׁ֔א H606 it whomsoever וּלְמַן H4479 דִּ֥י H1768 he will יִצְבֵּ֖א H6634 and that he appointeth יְהָקֵ֥ים H6966 over עֲלַֽיהּ׃ H6903 דִּ֥י H1768 all כָל H3606 this דְּנָ֖ה H1836 thou knewest יְדַֽעְתָּ׃ H3046 23 thyself against וְעַ֣ל H5922 the Lord מָרֵֽא H4756 of heaven שְׁמַיָּ֣א׀ H8065 But hast lifted up הִתְרוֹמַ֡מְתָּ H7313 the vessels וּלְמָֽאנַיָּ֨א H3984 דִֽי H1768 of his house בַיְתֵ֜הּ H1005 and they have brought הַיְתִ֣יו H858 before קָֽדָמָ֗יךְ H6925 thee and thou וְאַ֨נְתְּה H607 and thy lords in whose hand בִּידֵ֛הּ H3028 is and whose are all וְכָל H3606 thy ways אֹרְחָתָ֥ךְ H735 לֵ֖הּ H0 hast thou not לָ֥א H3809 glorified הַדַּֽרְתָּ׃ H1922 24 Then בֵּאדַ֙יִן֙ H116 from מִן H4481 him קֳדָמ֔וֹהִי H6925 sent שְׁלִ֖יַחַ H7972 was the part פַּסָּ֣א H6447 דִֽי H1768 of the hand יְדָ֑א H3028 writing וּכְתָבָ֥א H3792 and this דְנָ֖ה H1836 was written רְשִֽׁים׃ H7560 25 And this וּדְנָ֥ה H1836 is the writing כְתָבָ֖א H3792 דִּ֣י H1768 that was written רְשִׁ֑ים H7560 MENE מְנֵ֖א H4484 MENE מְנֵ֖א H4484 TEKEL תְּקֵ֥ל H8625 UPHARSIN וּפַרְסִֽין׃ H6537 26 This דְּנָ֖ה H1836 is the interpretation פְּשַֽׁר H6591 of the thing מִלְּתָ֑א H4406 MENE מְנֵ֕א H4484 hath numbered מְנָֽה H4483 God אֱלָהָ֥א H426 thy kingdom מַלְכוּתָ֖ךְ H4437 and finished וְהַשְׁלְמַֽהּ׃ H8000 27 TEKEL תְּקִ֥ילְתָּא H8625 TEKEL תְּקִ֥ילְתָּא H8625 in the balances בְמֹֽאזַנְיָ֖א H3977 and art found וְהִשְׁתְּכַ֥חַתְּ H7912 wanting חַסִּֽיר׃ H2627 28 PERES פְּרִיסַת֙ H6537 PERES פְּרִיסַת֙ H6537 Thy kingdom מַלְכוּתָ֔ךְ H4437 and given וִיהִיבַ֖ת H3052 to the Medes לְמָדַ֥י H4076 and Persians וּפָרָֽס׃ H6540 29 Then בֵּאדַ֣יִן׀ H116 commanded אֲמַ֣ר H560 Belshazzar בֵּלְשַׁאצַּ֗ר H1113 and they clothed וְהַלְבִּ֤שׁוּ H3848 Daniel לְדָֽנִיֵּאל֙ H1841 with scarlet אַרְגְּוָנָ֔א H711 and put a chain וְהַֽמְוִנכָ֥א H2002 דִֽי H1768 of gold דַהֲבָ֖א H1722 about עֲל֔וֹהִי H5922 his neck צַוְּארֵ֑הּ H6676 and made a proclamation וְהַכְרִ֣זֽוּ H3745 about עֲל֔וֹהִי H5922 דִּֽי H1768 him that he should be לֶהֱוֵ֥א H1934 ruler שַׁלִּ֛יט H7990 the third תַּלְתָּ֖א H8531 in the kingdom בְּמַלְכוּתָֽא׃ H4437 30 בֵּ֚הּ H0 In that night בְּלֵ֣ילְיָ֔א H3916 slain קְטִ֕יל H6992 was Belshazzar בֵּלְאשַׁצַּ֖ר H1113 the king מַלְכָּ֥א H4430 of the Chaldeans כַשְׂדָּיָֽא׃ H3779 31 And Darius
