וָֽאֶקַּ֞ח H3947 אֶת H853 the chief רָאשִׁ֖ים H7218 among your tribes לְשִׁבְטֵיכֶֽם׃ H7626 אֲנָשִׁ֤ים H376 wise חֲכָמִים֙ H2450 and known וִֽידֻעִ֔ים H3045 and made וָֽאֶתֵּ֥ן H5414 אוֹתָ֛ם H853 the chief רָאשִׁ֖ים H7218 עֲלֵיכֶ֑ם H5921 and captains וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 over thousands אֲלָפִ֜ים H505 and captains וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 over hundreds מֵא֗וֹת H3967 and captains וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 over fifties חֲמִשִּׁים֙ H2572 and captains וְשָׂרֵ֣י H8269 over tens עֲשָׂרֹ֔ת H6235 and officers וְשֹֽׁטְרִ֖ים H7860 among your tribes לְשִׁבְטֵיכֶֽם׃ H7626 16 And I charged וָֽאֲצַוֶּה֙ H6680 אֶת H853 and judge וּשְׁפַטְתֶּ֣ם H8199 at that time בָּעֵ֥ת H6256 הַהִ֖וא H1931 saying לֵאמֹ֑ר H559 Hear שָׁמֹ֤עַ H8085 בֵּין H996 and his brother אָחִ֖יו H251 and judge וּשְׁפַטְתֶּ֣ם H8199 righteously צֶ֔דֶק H6664 H1980 אֵ֣ת H853 כָּל H3605 wilderness הַמִּדְבָּ֣ר H4057 all that great הַגָּדוֹל֩ H1419 and terrible וְהַנּוֹרָ֨א H3372 הַה֜וּא H1931 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 which ye saw רְאִיתֶ֗ם H7200 by the way דֶּ֚רֶךְ H1870 of the mountain הַ֣ר H2022 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י H567 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 commanded צִוָּ֛ה H6680 as the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 our God אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ H430 אֹתָ֑נוּ H853 us and we came וַנָּבֹ֕א H935 עַ֖ד H5704 קָדֵ֥שׁ H0 to Kadeshbarnea בַּרְנֵֽעַ׃ H6947 20 And I said וָֽאֹמַ֖ר H559 אֲלֵכֶ֑ם H413 unto you Ye are come בָּאתֶם֙ H935 עַד H5704 unto the mountain הַ֣ר H2022 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י H567 אֲשֶׁר H834 which the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 our God אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ H430 doth give נֹתֵ֥ן H5414 לָֽנוּ׃ H0 21 Behold רְ֠אֵה H7200 hath set נָתַ֨ן H5414 it as the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֤י H430 before לְפָנֶ֖יךָ H6440 אֶת H853 the land הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 thee go up עֲלֵ֣ה H5927 and possess רֵ֗שׁ H3423 כַּֽאֲשֶׁר֩ H834 hath said דִּבֶּ֨ר H1696 it as the LORD יְהוָ֜ה H3068 God אֱלֹהֵ֤י H430 of thy fathers אֲבֹתֶ֙יךָ֙ H1 לָ֔ךְ H0 אַל H408 unto thee fear תִּירָ֖א H3372 וְאַל H408 not neither be discouraged תֵּחָֽת׃ H2865 22 And ye came near וַתִּקְרְב֣וּן H7126 אֵלַי֮ H413 כֻּלְּכֶם֒ H3605 unto me every one of you and said וַתֹּֽאמְר֗וּ H559 We will send נִשְׁלְחָ֤ה H7971 אֲנָשִׁים֙ H376 before לְפָנֵ֔ינוּ H6440 us and they shall search us out וְיַחְפְּרוּ H2658 לָ֖נוּ H0 אֶת H853 the land הָאָ֑רֶץ H776 again וְיָשִׁ֤בוּ H7725 אֹתָ֙נוּ֙ H853 us word דָּבָ֔ר H1697 אֶת H853 by what way הַדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ H1870 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 we must go up נַֽעֲלֶה H5927 בָּ֔הּ H0 וְאֵת֙ H853 and into what cities הֶֽעָרִ֔ים H5892 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 we shall come נָבֹ֖א H935 אֲלֵיהֶֽן׃ H413 23 pleased me well וַיִּיטַ֥ב H3190 בְּעֵינַ֖י H5869 And the saying הַדָּבָ֑ר H1697 and I took וָֽאֶקַּ֤ח H3947 מִכֶּם֙ H4480 twelve שְׁנֵ֣ים H8147 עָשָׂ֣ר H6240 men אֲנָשִׁ֔ים H582 of a tribe אִ֥ישׁ H376 of you one אֶחָ֖ד H259 לַשָּֽׁבֶט׃ H7626 24 And they turned וַיִּפְנוּ֙ H6437 and went up וַיַּֽעֲל֣וּ H5927 into the mountain הָהָ֔רָה H2022 and came וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ H935 עַד H5704 unto the valley נַ֣חַל H5158 of Eshcol אֶשְׁכֹּ֑ל H812 and searched it out וַֽיְרַגְּל֖וּ H7270 אֹתָֽהּ׃ H853 25 And they took וַיִּקְח֤וּ H3947 in their hands בְיָדָם֙ H3027 of the fruit מִפְּרִ֣י H6529 land הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 and brought it down וַיּוֹרִ֖דוּ H3381 אֵלֵ֑ינוּ H413 again וַיָּשִׁ֨בוּ H7725 אֹתָ֤נוּ H853 us word דָבָר֙ H1697 and said וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 It is a good טוֹבָ֣ה H2896 land הָאָ֔רֶץ H776 אֲשֶׁר H834 which the LORD יְהוָ֥ה H3068 our God אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ H430 doth give נֹתֵ֥ן H5414 לָֽנוּ׃ H0 26 וְלֹ֥א H3808 Notwithstanding ye would אֲבִיתֶ֖ם H14 not go up לַֽעֲלֹ֑ת H5927 but rebelled וַתַּמְר֕וּ H4784 אֶת H853 against the commandment פִּ֥י H6310 of the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 your God אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶֽם׃ H430 27 And ye murmured וַתֵּֽרָגְנ֤וּ H7279 in your tents בְאָֽהֳלֵיכֶם֙ H168 and said וַתֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ H559 בְּשִׂנְאַ֤ת H8130 Because the LORD יְהוָה֙ H3068 אֹתָ֔נוּ H853 us he hath brought us forth הֽוֹצִיאָ֖נוּ H3318 out of the land מֵאֶ֣רֶץ H776 of Egypt מִצְרָ֑יִם H4714 to deliver לָתֵ֥ת H5414 אֹתָ֛נוּ H853 us into the hand בְּיַ֥ד H3027 of the Amorites הָֽאֱמֹרִ֖י H567 to destroy לְהַשְׁמִידֵֽנוּ׃ H8045 28 אָנָ֣ה׀ H575 אֲנַ֣חְנוּ H587 Whither shall we go up עֹלִ֗ים H5927 our brethren אַחֵינוּ֩ H251 have discouraged הֵמַ֨סּוּ H4549 אֶת H853 our heart לְבָבֵ֜נוּ H3824 saying לֵאמֹ֗ר H559 The people עַ֣ם H5971 are great גְּדֹלֹ֥ת H1419 and taller וָרָם֙ H7311 מִמֶּ֔נּוּ H4480 than we the cities עָרִ֛ים H5892 are great גְּדֹלֹ֥ת H1419 and walled up וּבְצוּרֹ֖ת H1219 to heaven בַּשָּׁמָ֑יִם H8064 וְגַם H1571 the sons בְּנֵ֥י H1121 of the Anakims עֲנָקִ֖ים H6062 and moreover we have seen רָאִ֥ינוּ H7200 שָֽׁם׃ H8033 29 Then I said וָֽאֹמַ֖ר H559 אֲלֵכֶ֑ם H413 לֹא H3808 unto you Dread תַֽעַרְצ֥וּן H6206 וְֽלֹא H3808 not neither be afraid תִֽירְא֖וּן H3372 מֵהֶֽם׃ H1992 30 The LORD יְהוָ֤ה H3068 your God אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶם֙ H430 which goeth הַֽהֹלֵ֣ךְ H1980 before לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם H6440 ה֖וּא H1931 you he shall fight יִלָּחֵ֣ם H3898 לָכֶ֑ם H0 כְּ֠כֹל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 for you according to all that he did עָשָׂ֧ה H6213 אִתְּכֶ֛ם H854 for you in Egypt בְּמִצְרַ֖יִם H4714 before your eyes לְעֵֽינֵיכֶֽם׃ H5869 31 And in the wilderness וּבַמִּדְבָּר֙ H4057 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 where thou hast seen רָאִ֔יתָ H7200 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 bare יִשָּׂא H5375 how that the LORD יְהוָ֣ה H3068 thy God אֱלֹהֶ֔יךָ H430 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 bare יִשָּׂא H5375 thee as a man אִ֖ישׁ H376 אֶת H853 his son בְּנ֑וֹ H1121 בְּכָל H3605 in all the way הַדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ H1870 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 that ye went לָכֶ֛ם H0 a place מָק֖וֹם H4725 to pitch your tents לַחֲנֹֽתְכֶ֑ם H2583 in in fire בָּאֵ֣שׁ׀ H784 by night לַ֗יְלָה H3915 to shew לַרְאֹֽתְכֶם֙ H7200 in the way בַּדֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ H1870 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 Who went תֵּֽלְכוּ H1980 בָ֔הּ H0 and in a cloud וּבֶֽעָנָ֖ן H6051 by day יוֹמָֽם׃ H3119 34 heard וַיִּשְׁמַ֥ע H8085 And the LORD יְהוָ֖ה H3068 אֶת H853 the voice ק֣וֹל H6963 of your words דִּבְרֵיכֶ֑ם יִרְאֶ֔נָּה H7200 וְלֽוֹ H0 it and to him will I give אֶתֵּ֧ן H5414 אֶת H853 the land הָאָ֛רֶץ H776 that אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 he hath trodden upon דָּֽרַךְ H1869 בָּ֖הּ H0 and to his children וּלְבָנָ֑יו H1121 יַ֕עַן H3282 that אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 because he hath wholly מִלֵּ֖א H4390 followed אַֽחֲרֵ֥י H310 the LORD יְהוָֽה׃ H3068 37 גַּם H1571 בִּי֙ H0 was angry הִתְאַנַּ֣ף H599 Also the LORD יְהוָ֔ה H3068 against לִקְרַאתְכֶ֔ם H7125 you and chased וַיִּרְדְּפ֣וּ H7291 אֶתְכֶ֔ם H853 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 do תַּֽעֲשֶׂ֖ינָה H6213 you as bees הַדְּבֹרִ֑ים H1682 and destroyed וַֽיַּכְּת֥וּ H3807 אֶתְכֶ֛ם H853
