can the man הָאָדָ֗ם H120 do that cometh שֶׁיָּבוֹא֙ H935 after אַחֲרֵ֣י H310 the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 אֵ֥ת H853 אֲשֶׁר H834 even that which hath been already כְּבָ֖ר H3528 done עָשֽׂוּהוּ׃ H6213 13 Then I saw וְרָאִ֣יתִי H7200 אָ֔נִי H589 that שֶׁיֵּ֥שׁ H3426 excelleth כִּֽיתְר֥וֹן H3504 wisdom לַֽחָכְמָ֖ה H2451 מִן H4480 folly הַסִּכְל֑וּת H5531 excelleth כִּֽיתְר֥וֹן H3504 as far as light הָא֖וֹר H216 מִן H4480 darkness הַחֹֽשֶׁךְ׃ H2822 14 The wise man's הֶֽחָכָם֙ H2450 eyes עֵינָ֣יו H5869 are in his head בְּרֹאשׁ֔וֹ H7218 but the fool וְהַכְּסִ֖יל H3684 in darkness בַּחֹ֣שֶׁךְ H2822 walketh הוֹלֵ֑ךְ H1980 and I myself perceived וְיָדַ֣עְתִּי H3045 גַם H1571 אָ֔נִי H589 event שֶׁמִּקְרֶ֥ה H4745 also that one אֶחָ֖ד H259 happeneth יִקְרֶ֥ה H7136 אֶת H853 כֻּלָּֽם׃ H3605 15 said וְאָמַ֨רְתִּֽי H559 אֲנִ֜י H589 I in my heart בְלִבִּ֔י H3820 As it happeneth כְּמִקְרֵ֤ה H4745 to the fool הַכְּסִיל֙ H3684 even to me שֶׁגַּם H1571 אֲנִ֣י H589 so it happeneth יִקְרֵ֔נִי H7136 שֶׁעָמַ֖לְתִּי H5998 תַּ֥חַת H8478 under the sun הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ H8121 21 כִּי H3588 For there is יֵ֣שׁ H3426 a man וּלְאָדָ֞ם H120 whose labour שֶׁעֲמָל֛וֹ H5999 is in wisdom בְּחָכְמָ֥ה H2451 and in knowledge וּבְדַ֖עַת H1847 and in equity וּבְכִשְׁר֑וֹן H3788 a man וּלְאָדָ֞ם H120 שֶׁלֹּ֤א H3808 that hath not laboured עָֽמַל H5998 בּוֹ֙ H0 therein shall he leave יִתְּנֶ֣נּוּ H5414 it for his man בָּאָדָם֙ H120 than that he should eat שֶׁיֹּאכַ֣ל H398 and drink וְשָׁתָ֔ה H8354 וְהֶרְאָ֧ה H3318 אֶת H853 and that he should make his soul נַפְשׁ֛וֹ H5315 There is nothing better ט֖וֹב H2896 in מִ֥י H4310 For who can eat יֹאכַ֛ל H398 וּמִ֥י H4310 or who else can hasten יָח֖וּשׁ H2363 hereunto more ח֥וּץ H2351 מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ H4480 26 כִּ֤י H3588 to a man לְאָדָם֙ H120 that is good לְטוֹב֙ H2896 before לִפְנֵ֣י H6440 For God giveth לָתֵת֙ H5414 wisdom חָכְמָ֥ה H2451 and knowledge וְדַ֖עַת H1847 and joy וְשִׂמְחָ֑ה H8057 but to the sinner וְלַחוֹטֶא֩ H2398 For God giveth לָתֵת֙ H5414 travail
