H7200 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the oppressions הָעֲשֻׁקִ֗ים H6217 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that are done נַעֲשִׂ֖ים H6213 תַּ֣חַת H8478 under the sun הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ H8121 וְהִנֵּ֣ה׀ H2009 and behold the tears דִּמְעַ֣ת H1832 all the oppressions הָעֲשֻׁקִ֗ים H6217 וְאֵ֤ין H369 לָהֶם֙ H0 and they had no comforter מְנַחֵֽם׃ H5162 and on the side וּמִיַּ֤ד H3027 of such as were oppressed עֹֽשְׁקֵיהֶם֙ H6231 there was power כֹּ֔חַ H3581 וְאֵ֥ין H369 לָהֶ֖ם H0 and they had no comforter מְנַחֵֽם׃ H5162 2 Wherefore I praised וְשַׁבֵּ֧חַ H7623 אֲנִ֛י H589 אֶת H853 dead מֵ֑תוּ H4191 which are already שֶׁכְּבָ֣ר H3528 dead מֵ֑תוּ H4191 מִן H4480 alive חַיִּ֖ים H2416 אֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 הֵ֥מָּה H1992 alive חַיִּ֖ים H2416 which are yet עֲדֶֽנָה׃ H5728 3 Yea better וְטוֹב֙ H2896 is he than both מִשְּׁנֵיהֶ֔ם זֶ֥ה H2088 This is also vanity הֶ֖בֶל H1892 and vexation וּרְע֥וּת H7469 of spirit רֽוּחַ׃ H7307 5 The fool הַכְּסִיל֙ H3684 foldeth חֹבֵ֣ק H2263 אֶת H853 his hands יָדָ֔יו H3027 and eateth וְאֹכֵ֖ל H398 אֶת H853 his own flesh בְּשָׂרֽוֹ׃ H1320 6 Better ט֕וֹב H2896 full מִמְּלֹ֥א H4393 is an handful כַ֖ף H3709 with quietness נָ֑חַת H5183 full מִמְּלֹ֥א H4393 than both the hands חָפְנַ֛יִם H2651 with travail עָמָ֖ל H5999 and vexation וּרְע֥וּת H7469 of spirit רֽוּחַ׃ H7307 7 Then I returned וְשַׁ֧בְתִּי H7725 אֲנִ֛י H589 and I saw וָאֶרְאֶ֥ה H7200 vanity הֶ֖בֶל H1892 תַּ֥חַת H8478 under the sun הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ H8121 8 There is יֵ֣שׁ H3426 one אֶחָד֩ H259 וְאֵ֨ין H369 alone and there is not a second שֵׁנִ֜י H8145 גַּ֣ם H1571 yea he hath neither child בֵּ֧ן H1121 nor brother וָאָ֣ח H251 אֵֽין H369 ל֗וֹ H0 וְאֵ֥ין H369 yet is there no end קֵץ֙ H7093 לְכָל H3605 of all his labour עֲמָל֔וֹ H5999 גַּם H1571 neither is his eye עֵינ֖יוֹ H5869 לֹא H3808 satisfied תִשְׂבַּ֣ע H7646 with riches עֹ֑שֶׁר H6239 וּלְמִ֣י׀ H4310 אֲנִ֣י H589 neither saith he For whom do I labour עָמֵ֗ל H6001 and bereave וּמְחַסֵּ֤ר H2637 אֶת H853 my soul נַפְשִׁי֙ H5315 of good מִטּוֹבָ֔ה H2896 גַּם H1571 זֶ֥ה H2088 This is also vanity הֶ֛בֶל H1892 travail וְעִנְיַ֥ן H6045 yea it is a sore רָ֖ע H7451 הֽוּא׃ H1931 9 a good ט֖וֹב H2896 Two הַשְּׁנַ֖יִם H8147 מִן H4480 than one הָאֶחָ֑ד H259 אֲשֶׁ֧ר H834 because they have יֵשׁ H3426 לָהֶ֛ם H1992 reward שָׂכָ֥ר H7939 a good ט֖וֹב H2896 for their labour בַּעֲמָלָֽם׃ H5999 10 כִּ֣י H3588 אִם H518 For if they fall שֶׁיִּפּ֔וֹל H5307 the one הָֽאֶחָד֙ H259 to help him up לַהֲקִימֽוֹ׃ H6965 אֶת H853 his fellow חֲבֵר֑וֹ H2270 but woe וְאִ֣יל֗וֹ H337 the one הָֽאֶחָד֙ H259 For if they fall שֶׁיִּפּ֔וֹל H5307 וְאֵ֥ין H369 for he hath not another שֵׁנִ֖י H8145 to help him up לַהֲקִימֽוֹ׃ H6965 11 Again גַּ֛ם H1571 אִם H518 lie together יִשְׁכְּב֥וּ H7901 if two שְׁנַ֖יִם H8147 then they have heat וְחַ֣ם H2552 לָהֶ֑ם H0 but how can one וּלְאֶחָ֖ד H259 אֵ֥יךְ H349 be warm יֵחָֽם׃ H3179 12 וְאִֽם H518 prevail יִתְקְפוֹ֙ H8630 And if one הָאֶחָ֔ד H259 against him two הַשְּׁנַ֖יִם H8147 shall withstand יַעַמְד֣וּ H5975 נֶגְדּ֑וֹ H5048 cord וְהַחוּט֙ H2339 him and a threefold הַֽמְשֻׁלָּ֔שׁ H8027 לֹ֥א H3808 is not quickly בִמְהֵרָ֖ה H4120 broken יִנָּתֵֽק׃ H5423 13 Better ט֛וֹב H2896 child יֶ֥לֶד H3206 is a poor מִסְכֵּ֖ן H4542 and a wise וְחָכָ֑ם H2450 king מִמֶּ֤לֶךְ H4428 than an old זָקֵן֙ H2205 and foolish וּכְסִ֔יל H3684 אֲשֶׁ֛ר H834 לֹא H3808 who will יָדַ֥ע H3045 no more be admonished לְהִזָּהֵ֖ר H2094 עֽוֹד׃ H5750 14 כִּֽי H3588 מִבֵּ֥ית H1004 הָסוּרִ֖ים H612 he cometh יָצָ֣א H3318 to reign לִמְלֹ֑ךְ H4427 כִּ֛י H3588 גַּ֥ם H1571 in his kingdom בְּמַלְכוּת֖וֹ H4438 whereas also he that is born נוֹלַ֥ד H3205 becometh poor רָֽשׁ׃ H7326 15 I considered רָאִ֙יתִי֙ H7200 אֶת H853 כָּל H3605 all the living הַ֣חַיִּ֔ים H2416 which walk הַֽמְהַלְּכִ֖ים H1980 תַּ֣חַת H8478 under the sun הַשָּׁ֑מֶשׁ H8121 עִ֚ם H5973 child הַיֶּ֣לֶד H3206 with the second הַשֵּׁנִ֔י H8145 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 that shall stand up יַעֲמֹ֖ד H5975 תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ H8478 16 אֵֽין H369 There is no end קֵ֣ץ H7093 לְכָל H3605 of all the people הָעָ֗ם H5971 לְכֹ֤ל H3605 אֲשֶׁר H834 הָיָה֙ H1961 even of all that have been before לִפְנֵיהֶ֔ם H6440 גַּ֥ם H1571 them they also that come after הָאַחֲרוֹנִ֖ים H314 לֹ֣א H3808 shall not rejoice יִשְׂמְחוּ H8055
