אָחוּז֙ H270 with cords בְּחַבְלֵי H2256 of fine linen ב֣וּץ H948 and purple וְאַרְגָּמָ֔ן H713 עַל H5921 rings גְּלִ֥ילֵי H1550 and silver וָכֶ֗סֶף H3701 and pillars וְעַמּ֣וּדֵי H5982 marble וָשֵׁ֖שׁ H8336 the beds מִטּ֣וֹת׀ H4296 were of gold זָהָ֣ב H2091 and silver וָכֶ֗סֶף H3701 עַ֛ל H5921 upon a pavement רִֽצְפַ֥ת H7531 of red בַּֽהַט H923 marble וָשֵׁ֖שׁ H8336 and white וְדַ֥ר H1858 הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ H4428 with wine בַּיָּ֑יִן H3196 he commanded אָמַ֡ר H559 Mehuman לִ֠מְהוּמָן H4104 Biztha בִּזְּתָ֨א H968 Harbona חַרְבוֹנָ֜א H2726 Bigtha בִּגְתָ֤א H903 and Abagtha וַֽאֲבַגְתָא֙ H5 Zethar זֵתַ֣ר H2242 and Carcas וְכַרְכַּ֔ס H3752 the seven שִׁבְעַת֙ H7651 chamberlains הַסָּ֣רִיסִ֔ים H5631 that served הַמְשָׁ֣רְתִ֔ים H8334 אֶת H854 in the presence פְּנֵ֖י H6440 of the king הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ H4428 of Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵרֽוֹשׁ׃ H325 11 To bring לְ֠הָבִיא H935 אֶת H853 Vashti וַשְׁתִּ֧י H2060 the queen הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה H4436 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 with the crown בְּכֶ֣תֶר H3804 royal מַלְכ֑וּת H4438 to shew לְהַרְא֨וֹת H7200 the people הָֽעַמִּ֤ים H5971 and the princes וְהַשָּׂרִים֙ H8269 אֶת H853 her beauty יָפְיָ֔הּ H3308 כִּֽי H3588 for she was fair king's הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 אֲשֶׁ֖ר H834 by בְּיַ֣ד H3027 his chamberlains הַסָּֽרִיסִ֑ים H5631 wroth וַיִּקְצֹ֤ף H7107 at the king's הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 very מְאֹ֔ד H3966 and his anger וַֽחֲמָת֖וֹ H2534 הַיֹּֽשְׁבִ֥ים H3427 the first רִֽאשֹׁנָ֖ה H7223 in the kingdom בַּמַּלְכֽוּת׃ H4438 15 according to law כְּדָת֙ H1881 מַֽה H4100 What shall we do עָשְׂתָ֗ה H6213 unto the queen בַּמַּלְכָּ֖ה H4436 Vashti וַשְׁתִּ֑י H2060 עַ֣ל׀ H5921 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 What shall we do עָשְׂתָ֗ה H6213 אֶֽת H853 the commandment מַאֲמַר֙ H3982 of the king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ H325 by בְּיַ֖ד H3027 the chamberlains הַסָּֽרִיסִֽים׃ H5631 16 answered וַיֹּ֣אמֶר H559 And Memucan מְומּכָ֗ן H4462 before לִפְנֵ֤י H6440 of the king הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ H4428 and the princes הַשָּׂרִים֙ H8269 לֹ֤א H3808 עַל H5921 of the king הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ H4428 לְבַדּ֔וֹ H905 hath not done wrong עָֽוְתָ֖ה H5753 Vashti וַשְׁתִּ֣י H2060 the queen הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה H4436 כִּ֤י H3588 עַל H5921 כָּל H3605 and the princes הַשָּׂרִים֙ H8269 וְעַל H5921 כָּל H3605 and to all the people הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים H5971 אֲשֶׁ֕ר H834 בְּכָל H3605 that are in all the provinces מְדִינ֖וֹת H4082 of the king הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ H4428 Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵרֽוֹשׁ׃ H325 17 כִּֽי H3588 shall come abroad יֵצֵ֤א H3318 For this deed דְבַר H1697 of the queen הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה H4436 עַל H5921 כָּל H3605 unto all women הַנָּשִׁ֔ים H802 so that they shall despise לְהַבְז֥וֹת H959 their husbands בַּעְלֵיהֶ֖ן H1167 in their eyes בְּעֵֽינֵיהֶ֑ן H5869 commanded אָמַ֞ר H559 The king הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ H4428 Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵר֡וֹשׁ H325 commanded אָמַ֞ר H559 him say תֹּאמַ֣רְנָה׀ H559 Likewise shall the ladies שָׂר֣וֹת H8282 of Persia פָּֽרַס H6539 and Media וּמָדַ֗י H4074 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 which have heard שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ H8085 אֶת H853 of the deed דְּבַ֣ר H1697 of the queen הַמַּלְכָּ֔ה H4436 לְכֹ֖ל H3605 princes שָׂרֵ֣י H8269 unto all the king's הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 Thus shall there arise too much וּכְדַ֖י H1767 contempt בִּזָּי֥וֹן H963 and wrath וָקָֽצֶף׃ H7110 19 אִם H518 עַל H5921 and let the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 If it please ט֗וֹב H2895 let there go יֵצֵ֤א H3318 commandment דְבַר H1697 a royal וּמַלְכוּתָהּ֙ H4438 from him לִפְנֵי֙ H6440 and let it be written וְיִכָּתֵ֛ב H3789 among the laws בְּדָתֵ֥י H1881 of the Persians פָֽרַס H6539 and the Medes וּמָדַ֖י H4074 וְלֹ֣א H3808 that it be not altered יַֽעֲב֑וֹר H5674 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 לֹֽא H3808 come הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 unto another לִרְעוּתָ֖הּ H7468 that is better הַטּוֹבָ֥ה H2896 מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ H4480 20 shall be published וְנִשְׁמַע֩ H8085 decree פִּתְגָ֨ם H6599 And when the king's הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ H4428 אֲשֶֽׁר H834 which he shall make יַעֲשֶׂה֙ H6213 בְּכָל H3605 throughout all his empire מַלְכוּת֔וֹ H4438 כִּ֥י H3588 for it is great רַבָּ֖ה H7227 הִ֑יא H1931 וְכָל H3605 all the wives הַנָּשִׁ֗ים H802 shall give יִתְּנ֤וּ H5414 honour יְקָר֙ H3366 to their husbands לְבַעְלֵיהֶ֔ן H1167 both to great לְמִגָּד֖וֹל H1419 וְעַד H5704 and small קָטָֽן׃ H6996 21 pleased וַיִּיטַב֙ H3190 And the
