sleep שְׁנַ֣ת H8142 the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 and he commanded וַיֹּ֗אמֶר H559 to bring לְהָבִ֞יא H935 אֶת H853 the book סֵ֤פֶר H5612 of records הַזִּכְרֹנוֹת֙ H2146 of the chronicles דִּבְרֵ֣י H1697 הַיָּמִ֔ים H3117 וַיִּֽהְי֥וּ H1961 and they were read נִקְרָאִ֖ים H7121 before לִפְנֵ֥י H6440 the king הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ H4428 2 And it was found וַיִּמָּצֵ֣א H4672 written כָת֗וּב H3789 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 had told הִגִּ֨יד H5046 that Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֜י H4782 עַל H5921 of Bigthana בִּגְתָ֣נָא H904 and Teresh וָתֶ֗רֶשׁ H8657 two שְׁנֵי֙ H8147 chamberlains סָֽרִיסֵ֣י H5631 of the king's בַּמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 the keepers מִשֹּֽׁמְרֵ֖י H8104 of the door הַסַּ֑ף H5592 אֲשֶׁ֤ר H834 who sought בִּקְשׁוּ֙ H1245 to lay לִשְׁלֹ֣חַ H7971 hand יָ֔ד H3027 of the king's בַּמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 Ahasuerus אֲחַשְׁוֵרֽוֹשׁ׃ H325 3 for this Then said וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ H559 And the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 מַֽה H4100 done נַעֲשָׂ֥ה H6213 What honour יְקָ֧ר H3366 and dignity וּגְדוּלָּ֛ה H1420 to Mordecai לְמָרְדֳּכַ֖י H4782 עַל H5921 זֶ֑ה H2088 for this Then said וַיֹּ֨אמְר֜וּ H559 servants נַֽעֲרֵ֤י H5288 And the king הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ H4428 that ministered מְשָׁ֣רְתָ֔יו H8334 לֹֽא H3808 done נַעֲשָׂ֥ה H6213 עִמּ֖וֹ H5973 unto him There is nothing דָּבָֽר׃ H1697 4 said לֵאמֹ֣ר H559 And the king לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 מִ֣י H4310 Who is in the court לַֽחֲצַ֤ר H2691 Now Haman וְהָמָ֣ן H2001 was come בָּ֗א H935 Who is in the court לַֽחֲצַ֤ר H2691 house בֵּית H1004 And the king לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 into the outward הַחִ֣יצוֹנָ֔ה H2435 said לֵאמֹ֣ר H559 And the king לַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 to hang לִתְלוֹת֙ H8518 אֶֽת H853 Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֔י H4782 עַל H5921 on the gallows הָעֵ֖ץ H6086 אֲשֶׁר H834 that he had prepared הֵכִ֥ין H3559 לֽוֹ׃ H0 5 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 servants נַֽעֲרֵ֤י H5288 And the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 אֵלָ֔יו H413 הִנֵּ֥ה H2009 unto him Behold Haman הָמָ֖ן H2001 standeth עֹמֵ֣ד H5975 in the court בֶּֽחָצֵ֑ר H2691 said וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 And the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 Let him come in יָבֽוֹא׃ H935 6 came in וַיָּבוֹא֮ H935 Now Haman הָמָן֙ H2001 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 לוֹ֙ H0 And the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 מַה H4100 to do לַֽעֲשׂ֥וֹת H6213 unto the man בָּאִ֕ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 And the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 delight יַחְפֹּ֥ץ H2654 honour יְקָ֖ר H3366 said וַיֹּ֤אמֶר H559 Now Haman הָמָן֙ H2001 in his heart בְּלִבּ֔וֹ H3820 לְמִ֞י H4310 delight יַחְפֹּ֥ץ H2654 And the king הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ H4428 to do לַֽעֲשׂ֥וֹת H6213 honour יְקָ֖ר H3366 more יוֹתֵ֥ר H3148 מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ H4480 7 answered וַיֹּ֥אמֶר H559 And Haman הָמָ֖ן H2001 אֶל H413 the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 For the man אִ֕ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 delighteth חָפֵ֥ץ H2654 to honour בִּֽיקָרֽוֹ׃ H3366 8 be brought יָבִ֙יאוּ֙ H935 apparel לְב֣וּשׁ H3830 Let the royal מַלְכ֖וּת H4438 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 useth to wear לָֽבַשׁ H3847 בּ֖וֹ H0 that the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 and the horse וְס֗וּס H5483 אֲשֶׁ֨ר H834 rideth רָכַ֤ב H7392 עָלָיו֙ H5921 that the king הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ H4428 וַֽאֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 which is set נִתַּ֛ן H5414 upon and the crown כֶּ֥תֶר H3804 Let the royal מַלְכ֖וּת H4438 upon his head בְּרֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ H7218 9 be delivered וְנָת֨וֹן H5414 And let this apparel הַלְּב֜וּשׁ H3830 and horse הַסּוּס֙ H5483 עַל H5921 to the hand יַד H3027 of one לָאִ֔ישׁ H376 princes מִשָּׂרֵ֤י H8269 of the king's הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 most noble הַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֔ים H6579 that they may array וְהִלְבִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ H3847 אֶת H853 of one לָאִ֔ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 of the king's הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 delighteth חָפֵ֥ץ H2654 to honour בִּֽיקָרֽוֹ׃ H3366 and bring וְהִרְכִּיבֻ֤הוּ H7392 עַל H5921 and horse הַסּוּס֙ H5483 through the street בִּרְח֣וֹב H7339 of the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 and proclaim וְקָֽרְא֣וּ H7121 before לְפָנָ֔יו H6440 כָּ֚כָה H3602 him Thus shall it be done יֵֽעָשֶׂ֣ה H6213 of one לָאִ֔ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 of the king's הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 delighteth חָפֵ֥ץ H2654 to honour בִּֽיקָרֽוֹ׃ H3366 10 said וַיֹּ֨אמֶר H559 Then the king הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 to Haman לְהָמָ֗ן H2001 Make haste מַ֠הֵר H4116 and take קַ֣ח H3947 אֶת H853 the apparel הַלְּב֤וּשׁ H3830 וְאֶת H853 and the horse הַסּוּס֙ H5483 כַּֽאֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 as thou hast said דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃ H1696 and do וַֽעֲשֵׂה H6213 כֵן֙ H3651 even so to Mordecai לְמָרְדֳּכַ֣י H4782 the Jew הַיְּהוּדִ֔י H3064 that sitteth הַיּוֹשֵׁ֖ב H3427 gate בְּשַׁ֣עַר H8179 Then the king הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 אַל H408 fail תַּפֵּ֣ל H5307 let nothing דָּבָ֔ר H1697 מִכֹּ֖ל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 as thou hast said דִּבַּֽרְתָּ׃ H1696 11 Then took וַיִּקַּ֤ח H3947 Haman הָמָן֙ H2001 אֶת H853 the apparel הַלְּב֣וּשׁ H3830 וְאֶת H853 and the horse הַסּ֔וּס H5483 and arrayed וַיַּלְבֵּ֖שׁ H3847 אֶֽת H853 Mordecai מָרְדֳּכָ֑י H4782 and brought him on horseback וַיַּרְכִּיבֵ֙הוּ֙ H7392 through the street בִּרְח֣וֹב H7339 of the city הָעִ֔יר H5892 and proclaimed וַיִּקְרָ֣א H7121 before לְפָנָ֔יו H6440 כָּ֚כָה H3602 him Thus shall it be done יֵֽעָשֶׂ֣ה H6213 unto the man לָאִ֔ישׁ H376 אֲשֶׁ֥ר H834 whom the king הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ H4428 delighteth חָפֵ֥ץ H2654 to honour בִּֽיקָרֽוֹ׃ H3366 12 came again וַיָּ֥שָׁב H7725 And Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֖י H4782 אֶל H413 gate שַׁ֣עַר H8179 to the king's הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ H4428 But Haman וְהָמָן֙ H2001 hasted נִדְחַ֣ף H1765 אֶל H413 to his house בֵּית֔וֹ H1004 mourning אָבֵ֖ל H57 covered וַֽחֲפ֥וּי H2645 and having his head רֹֽאשׁ׃ H7218 13 told וַיְסַפֵּ֨ר H5608 And Haman הָמָ֜ן H2001 Zeresh וְזֶ֣רֶשׁ H2238 his wife אִשְׁתּ֗וֹ H802 וּלְכָל H3605 and all his friends אֹ֣הֲבָ֔יו H157 אֵ֖ת H853 כָּל H3605 אֲשֶׁ֣ר H834 every thing that had befallen קָרָ֑הוּ H7136 him Then said וַיֹּ֩אמְרוּ֩ H559 ל֨וֹ H0 his wise men חֲכָמָ֜יו H2450 Zeresh וְזֶ֣רֶשׁ H2238 his wife אִשְׁתּ֗וֹ H802 אִ֣ם H518 be of the seed מִזֶּ֣רַע H2233 of the Jews הַיְּהוּדִ֡ים H3064 unto him If Mordecai מָרְדֳּכַ֞י H4782 אֲשֶׁר֩ H834 whom thou hast begun הַחִלּ֨וֹתָ H2490 against him but shalt surely תִּפּ֖וֹל H5307 before לְפָנָֽיו׃ H6440 לֹֽא H3808 thou shalt not prevail תוּכַ֣ל H3201 ל֔וֹ H0 כִּֽי H3588 against him but shalt surely תִּפּ֖וֹל H5307 against him but shalt surely
